  1. Imagine, if we were in the 1910's walking along the streets of Singapore; we might see a well organized worker clearing the streets. In the picture is a hard-working civil servant; some regard him as a scavenger. And he is clearing and cleaning the streets of North division. In the back-drop is the dust-van. Today, we might call this a dump-truck. Much like those placed outside a premises to haul away debris and yes, dust from the work-site (renovations or A and A works)

Dear Alicia, Alicia Tan wrote: If my wealth luck is againt me, what can I do to improve it? In general, most people either have big luck with them or against them. When luck is with you, things is likely to go in your favour whatever you do. If luck is against yoou, then things are likely not go favour you. There will always still be 5-yearly, yearly luck which will change in each period. So some years will be better others will not. Based on general rat horoscope signs, then you can refer to this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/astrology/astro/crat.htm Which means Rat / Dragon / Monkey horoscope signs should generally be better match. As for the "red" rat, I presume you are refering to a Fire rat? If so, that depends on whether you are a weak fire or strong fire rat. The best element compatibility depends on for weak fire, would be like wood/fire. So when you put together with your favourable horoscope, it can wood/fire dragon or wood/fire monkey for example. While the best element compa…

Hello. I hope someone will have the patient to read and help me as I'm kind of desperate. My flat has the front door opening South-West (241 degrees) and facing North-East. Rectangle shape (missing small part on South corner, near the door entrance). The rectangle flat diagonal (end near the entrance, on the missing part) is closest to the N-S direction. All of my family members are from West group except my oldest son (5.5 years) who is an East one. And we do have some troubles with him since we moved in here, 2 years ago. He's not speaking correctly for his age anymore, not paying attention, agitated, frustrated, always against everyone and everything and so on. I must …

Dear Cheui May, Usually, the "main door" is where the house number or apartment number is placed. The other entrance which does not have this is usually called the "side door". Normally, we advise the use of the side door for those users who already have an existing house with a main door which is not suitable for them to use the alternative side door especially if it is better. However, if you have not purchase a house, it would still be better if you find a house with the main door as the best direction rather than use the alternative side door. It will help if you use the side door although it is not a good as the true main door. Usually used as an alternative sol…

Dear Anon, 1. Chinese numerology and even any other numerology can be very confusing. This is because, there can be varied interpretation. And the same number can be considered auspicious but can also be interpreted as inauspicious. For example: a number such as 5. Some consider it auspicious because, 5 represents `balance' or the Five Elements concept. While others may view it differently e.g. Flying Star number which is inauspicious as it is also known as " misfortune " or Deadly Yellow or bad yellow star. 2. In Chinese numerology, the phonetic sound is equally important. Especially numbers like 4 represents " die " in Cantonese. While `8' represents `fatt' or prosperi…

  8. Dear Anon, Orange colour because of it's close resemblance to literally an "orange" or a "mandarin" orange is considered as "gold" colour. And gold belongs to the range of metal elements. Thus, painting it orange, would be bright and colourful! More importantly, many toilets are in enclosed area and often not well lit. Thus, especially if we do have elderly at home or youngsters, it is still good to go for light pastel colours in a toilet. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Is it advisable to paint the bathroom orange if it is in the NE sector of the home? Dear Anon, Thank you for the illustration. The second door you mentioned in the illustration seems to be a passage way rather than a door. As the doors are on the side, I cannot see any other doors directly facing your "always" opened office room door. Thus from a shapes and forms point of view, it is perfectly acceptable to have this type of arrangement. Furthermore, your office table is away from this passage way which is good and that you had mentioned that this is an excellent facing direction for you.

Dear Winters, I believe, that although you are `wood'; consideration should be: 1. If you are a STRONG wood person, this would be beneficial as metal (not just the sliding door) but the entire trailer is more `metal' helps to destroy wood, and neutralises the strong wood. If you are a STRONG wood person, the above is beneficial to you. Here, water element would be beneificial to constantly `replenish' the wood. Water element refers to the colour blue, grey or black of shades of it. However, if you are a weak wood person, you should use more of water element to help increase the wood element. (Here, water element should be "used" more than if you are a strong wood person)…

Dear Yvonne, Feng Shui is a holistic approach. The two major schools of Feng Shui are used to look at a home. The two major Schools are: 1. Shapes and Form 2. Compass Schools: The Eight House Theory The Flying Star Theory You have to ask yourself this question " I want to install many mirrors because I geniunely liked them or is it because I have heard that `mirrors' are beneificial ". If it is `hearsay' information that mirrors are good for Feng Shui to bring Prosperity, then, it may not be the case. The cause for concern is `over-eating'. Even in Feng Shui, we should not try to add more than necessary. Logically speaking, a mirror serves a purpose i.e. to look at our im…

Dear Lisa, In my opinion, if one already does not have a water position at the back of the house, it is best not to have one. In general, under Feng Shui (Shapes and Form), it is not advantages to have water positions behind the house. This follows the concept that the back of the house should have a solid-backing. Dear Anon, 1. Based on your information, it is presently difficult to `pinpoint' how effective, Feng Shui can do at this time. 2. One think for certain is that: 2.1 Feng Shui can help to `reverse' some of the Earthly Luck of your home. 2.2 As for the office, as you mentioned that your investment is overseas, it is difficult to do Feng Shui by "remote control." Usually, an audit has to be conducted at the office premises. 2.3 As you mentioned that both of you have present jobs, one way is to `enhance' each individual by using the Pillars of Destiny i.e. looking at the element and its strengths. 3. Currently, between (divided) amongst ourselves we are currently helping many…

Dear Kumari, I believe that, you most likely are staying in a hostel. Frankly, it is difficult to `correct' these especially if it is in a `small' room where one has difficulties moving furniture. As a consolation, many have also gone thru the same `situation' as yours and are doing very well. This is not a permanent situation and most of the time you most likely are studying. Furthermore, being young and I believe, with more Yang energy in you. Good Luck in your studies:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sheila, In my opinion, luck corners or `sector' Feng Shui or paying homage to corners are equally "non-existent' or unreliable / undependable situations. This is considered a modern invention is too general to be of use for many of us. You should treat the small figurine as a decor item in your home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

This layout plan is typical of some of the layout plan(s) found especially at the HDB Fernvale @ Sengkang (constructed 2 to 3 years ago). 1. Usually to hide the washing machine / drier many use the L shaped sink / stove . Some built a low "partition" at the kitchen side to block the view to the kitchen. 2. The greatest "concern" would be the main door - kitchen "door". 3. The toilet at the "centre" is the least of the problem. 4. More importantly, the most crucial is hopefully your apartment has favourable Flying star "numbers" - superimposed on the layout plan.

Dear David, In general, it is good to understand the purpose of the eight house theory:- 1. The Eight House theory is usually used to look at locations where one spent the most time at. Thus, it is good that your sleeping direction is excellent. However, primary importance is given to the location where you spent most time at. Only after this has been looked at should one look at sleeping facing a good direction. 2. Spook is not as favourable but not as bad as death or disaster intangible force. 3. To find out how suitable the house is to a person, you can also look at the intangible force affecting the main entrance door sector. 4. Good facing directions. Sit facing a go…
