Dear CM, For a home, you should be looking at the micro-level e.g. your actual condo or office unit's main door to check on suitability. Sometimes, when the building main entrance is looked at, it is often to apply Flying Star Feng Shui to look or study the qi of the building e.g. where to place a suitable water feature outside of the building and/or to build landscaping to suit the flying stars. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Eg. I am an East-group person, is it ok to choose a home/office where: - the building's main entrance is facing NE, SW, W, NW, - but the actual condo/office unit's main door is facing N, E, S, SE?

Does a wooden frame with glass door or an aluminium frame with acrylic door makes any difference? 1. In my opinion, it makes no difference between a wooden - with glass or aluminium frame with acrylic door. Anonymous wrote: 2) Also the dining area is just beside the main entrance. Is it advisable to put our dining table just beside the Main entrance? 2. Frankly, this has more to do with commonsense, then Feng Shui. 2.1. It has to do with "first impressions". For example, it (the dining table) would be the first time a guest would see whe…

These are some of the considerations: 1. Contrary to whatever belief that one has; it does not mean that it is considered inauspicious to have main gates of "properties" be it one large or huge facing a puny or tiny next door building that may not be that large. 2. Don't ever be mistaken that this equate e.g. a BIG fat mouth trying to swallow a SMALLer piece of land or building. Nothing of this sort! 3. In fact, one plus point in such an arrangement is that there will be little or no likelyhood of the REAL threat such as a lone lamp-post or a sign post or even a tree trunk from the opposite side "sliding" towards one's main gate area. 4. Although shifting the main gate ha…

Dear Mabel, The key to your "concern" is the centrepoint. The centrepoint or centre of gravity of the home is like the heart of a home. If you really cannot find the centrepoint of your home, you may have to obtain a copy of your layout, glue it onto a cardboard paper. If the home has many indents, cut out the outline. And balance it on a nail or pin to find the centre of gravity or centrepoint. After finding the centrepoint, the easiest is to stand at the location of the home where the centrepoint is suppose to be. Using an ordinary compass, look where the north points to. Here, once you got the orientation of the north, south of your home is behind this etc.... Referen…

  7. Need advise on my current situation. I just bought a South(sector 1)house where the main door of the house is facing directly of my neighbours front porch which has a triangular roofline and a pillar. I've yet to move in. The road in between is about 40feet wide. Heard that putting up a BAGUA above the main door would help but is there any other way other than putting up a bagua or changing the position of the maindoor? Is the triangular roofline a serious threat to the owner of the house? PLEASE HELP.Thank you in advance.

I am considering buying a house that has an highway-style road running behind it. The road is elevated high above the house, however there is a relatively thick screen of tall trees in between and also a decent sized back garden, so the house is not so close. Is this still bad or is the bad energy naturalised by the trees and garden? Picture attached. Your advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Dear Anon, 1. In the past, when there were few (if any) high rise buildings; it is much easier to relate it to a landed property; than say an apartment. 2. One best way to look at a `major' renovation is of the following:- 3. Case Study 1 ================ 3.1 Someone has sold their home. For example, this house was purchased by a couple who married in the 1970's, stayed there. And when their children grew up; the children moved away. 3.2 Often, the `old couple' who have already retired decided to sell this house. 3.3 Most of the time, the house could require renovations to modernise the home. 3.4 For example, you came along and purchase this house. ANd decide to do a reno…

    1. Please note that what you had mentioned has more to do with Heaven Luck (born with) and ba zi. 2. Under the Holy Trinity of luck, there are three kinds of luck:- 2.1 Heaven Luck 2.2 Earth Luck 2.3 Human (Man) Luck. 3. Your questions, frankly, is not so simplistic as proper analysis goes right down to even the dd/mm/yy of both partners etc... 4. As mentioned above, there are three kinds of luck. And if one divides them equally, all three are 33.3 percent and x 3 = will equal to 99.9999 or 100 percent luck. 5. What you are thus so concerned of is only 33.3 percent of the total luck. And furthermore, the danger of apply Heaven Luck so "religiously" is akin to the co…

  14. Started by Cecil Lee,

Dear Anon, More importantly, you should have completed your renovations on or after Chinese New Year 2004. In addition, if you had given your townhousea fresh coat of paint then the better. In addition, if your townhouse feels fresh and does not have too much clutter all over, then there is a very high likelyhood, that you home can be considered as more of a Period 8 home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  16. Dear Anon, If we strictly consider based on Chinese Astrology, the Rat is considered diagrammatically opposite the Horse. As such they are suppose to be one of the worst pairings in the Chinese Astrology (zodiac) signs. Reference: http://www.lovesigns.net However, phew! 50 years old? Go get a life, and since life at 50 is "really, really short"; why not.. even cannot MUST make it POSSIBLE! We can understand if one is 18 to 30 years. May be head-strong, stubborn or combative. But at 50 years old? Gosh! One should hopefully have mellowed down! And be more understanding! With regards to both the Chinese as well as Western zodiac signs: You see, many of us often read ou…

Thanks for your prompt response, I certainly appreciated. The lake is a part of the entire community and it is shaped as a "dumb-bell" shape with two fountains on the circle sections. This is a man-made small lake, the deepest depth is 7 or 8 feet. The lake will be more than 30 feet from the right side of the house, and will be about 70 feet from the back of the house. The land is flat if you compare the right side to the left of the house. Of course, the right side and the back of the house is higher than the lake. This new house will be built with the main entrance face to South west directory and back to the North-East. The tree is "not" really that big as what you sai…

  18. Started by tami,

Dear Tammy, Please see below:- In fact, often, such homes that you had mentioned, ended up more like the `frontage' of the home. (And the main entrance/road) Often the worry about a water position is if (top-down) view, it seems to slice inwards or towards the home. (Much like a knife - cutting into the home). Trees / plants are acceptable, since, they often shade areas and invite: birds to the area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  19. Started by myfs_43234,

Dear Brad, 1. It is good to see if the amount of plants is proportionate to the size of the interior of the home. 2. Currently, there is no fixed ruleset to the amount of plants. 3. As to the placement of the plants, usually they are placed at either corners or close to the edge of walls where they do not `interfere' with pedestrian traffic or create /or likely to cause accidents especially in the dark of the night. 4. It is always good advise to check with family members or hear their comments on the placement (or non-placement) of the plants. Getting family members to `participate' and provide feedback is, in my opinion, a good idea. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, It is worthwhile for you to get professional Feng Shui consultation in your country especially since your huband's health is poor. Frankly, your questions are piecemeal and without relevance to proper Feng Shui diagnostic tools like Flying Star Feng Shui. Thus things like bamboo tree (real or fake) can be a double edged sword. As some sectors may not be suitable for such a cluster of plants. In addition, I do not have a clear picture of the exact size of the new building and whether it "cuts thru" the main door, windows or what is the distance etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil ponder ponder wrote: Hi Cecil, I happened to see your website and have not much ti…

Dear Sophia, Please see below:- Many of us think in terms of enhancing wealth. But many of us do it literally the wrong way. For example, some people force themselves to maintain a fish tank even though this is not their hobby. Imagine, to some of these people, the toil of weekly cleaning the fish tank and other maintenance chores like feeding the fish. To a fish hobbist this is entirely different! To him or her, it is a pleasure to maintain their fish tank! It is the same senario. This "fool" was told that he has to cover his TV set each day before sleeping. And this really silly fool, adds to the sillyness of having to enslave himself with such unnecesary rout…

  23. Started by Chemet,

Dear Chetan, I believe, if you are referring to the use of the Chinese Astrology, for example, ( reference : www.lovesigns.net ), like the Zodica signs e.g. Gemini, Cancer etc... are considered explanations as to the different characteristics of each individual. Under astrology, it can tell you the characteristic differences but this where it ends. If we are referring to the Eight House Theory, where one is a West or East facing house person, one can still make relations work. What is more important if one is using say astrology or believe in it, try to `learn' or understand the differences of the two `animal' signs better. For those who do not really want to rely on the …

Dear Anon, On your part, you can try to continue to have a reasonable communication with your husband. (Not based on yelling or screaming or on bad things). Sorry, I am not a counsellor, but usually, many times, couples with already two children can bring in your two children. Or try to reason the continual of the marriage for both your two children's sake. Please see below on Feng Shui issues:- Yes, there are many times when there is a direct path between the main door to the backyard area. I am not sure if the wood shutter covers can still allow air to flow freely from the main door to the back. If it is not `air-tight', there is still a leak from this area. Pe…

Dear Liza, Honestly, my parents were matched-made, and thus no choice in the selection of partners. But like many people, the key success to a marriage is that two "Hands" must clap-together. The danger about reading too much astrology is for fear of: Auto-suggestion and the other self-fulfilling prophercy. Our life is what we make of it. Many of the ingredients in life include: 1. Give-and-take (give and receive) It is said that the most used word in the English dictionary is " I ". (self). Thus, if one only sees that we ourselves are the only one giving but not take, then one day, we may just "blow" up literally. 2. Listening ear Have a listening ear to your partner…
