Dear Master, After reading from some of your previous advises , I hope you can also provide some advises to assist my renovation planning. PICTURE 1 : Extracted from your previous advises for Northpark Residences, my unit is number 62 at Tower 29 facing SW1 ; 207 degree (Dual Key Unit). PICTURE 2 : Floor plan and studio bedroom picture that I intend to use it as my master bedroom. (Question1a) Is it adviseable to sleep in a bedroom that have all the kitchen appliances, washing machine, washing basin (no cooking and washing will be done in this bedroom at all)? Dear Anon, 1. In general, a neutral colour for a room is white or nowadays there are paints that have light shades of any other colors. 2. This makes the room bright. 3. Under Feng Shui, there are several methods of finding suitable colors: For example:- 3.1 If the home is large e.g. as large as the white house or other stately mansions, one paint each wing a color based on `Feng Shui' colors like.. blue = North, East = green, West = white or gold.... etc 3.2 More professional methods under Traditional FS is to find out one's element and it's strength. After finding out each person's element and strength, for the bedroom, one can then find a Binding element. If the bindin…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, this is of secondary importance unless: 1. the toilet is next to the main entrance (at the frontage of the house). 2. or at the center-point of the house. Where one of the toilet wall does not share an external wall. Both cases usually have characteristsics related to financial problems. 3. Otherwise, in most cases, nowadays, it is very common to have an ajoining toilet to the master bedroom. 4. If the toilet door is facing the bed, then symbollically, one can use a table stand with a table lamp. Here, this is symbolic of a `screen' or partition between the bed and the toiet. 5. In addition, even if the toilet bowl is not directly visible, one sh…

Dear KS, Please see below:- Yes, overall, it is considered not auspicious to have the Master Bedroom door facing another toilet door. Where possible close that toilet door when not in use. It is not ideal to have the bed sharing the same wall as a bathroom - especially if the toilet bowl is directly opposite the bed. Ref: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.htm This also applies to apartments. One conclusion here is that it is said that tiny water vapour or molecules emitted, may encourage baterial growth etc... If you have a layout, feel free to sketch (of the room in relation to the toilet / toilet areas / toilet bowl position / shower area -- an…

  6. 1. Like all investigative sciences; in order for you to make any enhancement(s) and/or reduce any negative qi: Feng Shui Triage. Tell us: how to remedy ifno investigations are done: TRIAGE 2. The Eight House / Eight Mansions (4 Good/Bad directions) concept can be used to futher look at the best bed-head direction. 3. Shapes and Forms of the bedroom: often this is limited by the bedroom door, windows and other fixtures in a bedroom e.g. entrance to the attached bedroom. 4. Alternatively; if the above are not applied; then it is as good as doing Trial and Error Feng Shui. Logically, it is either going thru Para 1 to 3 or "free for all".

I read that we must not use crystal in the marriage corner and health or wealth corner. I am planning to install lights on the south, east and north wall with crystals, which also have gold plated metal band. 2 of these walls are our mariage corner and the east is my husband's health corner.Isit good to install the fixture described above or should I choose a metal (brass) fixture. Also, could I install crystal fixtures on the ceiling of a master bedroom. I am trying to improve the relationship to be harmonious. Thank you Malli

Dear Anon, The main consideration - especially on the placement of the main door is to look at the plot of land. For example, if the land is not flat but there is some sort of hill behind the plot of land, the main entrance must not be placed at the back or facing the hill. This is an important consideration. Since you have so many concerns, you can look at our International `worry-free' package on layout assessment to suit you and your family member's Ba Zi:- http://www.geomancy.net/shoppingcart/store.cgi?action=link&sku=OFFPCHUNT2 Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Frankly, location, location, location is the first importance. 2. For example, the external environment, the site, the block and lastly the unit are equally important. 3. Thus for a better understanding, Feng Shui should be looked in under all areas of Para 2. 4. Yes, usually, the master bedroom is at one end of unit. (in most cases). If in doubt, always try to forgo that unit, unless you sought professional advice (e.g. to review it's layout plan vis-a-vis the compass directions etc..) Quote: Lee I. wrote: I would like to know whether I should purchase a unit where the master bedroom is not the end of the apartment. The common bedroom is at the end.

Dear Yijun, 1. You have not mentioned whether you are a person with `Strong' or `Weak' water. 2. If you are a person with Strong Water element, then earth can help. For example, under the Five elements concept, Earth destroys Water. So if you are a person with Strong Water, earth can be used to exhaust your Strong Water. And this would be beneficial to you. 3. If you are instead, a person with Weak Water, you should not add too much Earth. As Earth can futher weaken your Weak water element. 4. If one is trying to add earth element, one should be more `careful' since it is not advisable to introduce Earth element to sectors in the home especially if one had not done a FS a…

I cannot move my stove to any other part of my kitchen What cure can I use to help me with this issue? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Generally, the reason why this is bad, is simply because the chances of fire starting is very high in the kitchen. So if a fire does start, your bedroom will be most affected by it. Don't be believe in using like 6-coins to balance up this sector. It won't do you much good as if there is a fire, the coins will probably melt. Dear Linh, Thanks for the lastest drawing. I now have a better picture of what you mean. 1. As a general guideline, one has to avoid `posion arrows'. If you notice the inverted tray, check for any sharp corners. These sharp corners at the bottom of the `tray' seems to me like pointing downwards. Hopefully, it is pointed towards any part of the bed. 2. If the corners are rounded, this is acceptable and thus not considered a poision arrow. Yes, if possible this `tray' ceiling arrangement should be avoided if you can. 3. The sides of the `tray' is symbolic of ceiling beams and it is best to sit below this area as it is also considered as having negative qi. Warmest Regards, …

Dear Danny, Please see below:- It is preferred that the master bedroom is a rectangular shape (without odd corners or extension). This is especially so for a newly married couple. Since you have a son, there could be other underlining reasons. Often, the Flying Star Feng Shui is used to diagnose sectors that have bad #3 and #4 wood elements which are associated with quarrels and disputes. This is one direction, that you may consider pursuing. Most probably, some of the bad stars had flew into especially the fish (tank) location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  18. Dear Reyla, 1. How long have you been staying in this house? 2. Are you facing financial distress? 3. Overall, there are two major Shapes and Forms `handicap' for this home: 3.1 Please refer to marking `A'. ================================ In addition to the toilet at the centrepoint of the home; another further problem is that the centrepoint or the centre-of-gravity for this home does not have clear space. Here, qi from all areas of the home cannot congregate or meander at this centrepoint or `flux'. Often, if one stays in such a home for more than 2 or 3 years, one can feel the impact of financial problems. Since qi cannot effectively flow `about' in all directions. 3.…

  19. 1. Under Commonsense Feng Shui, definitely, it is considered not ideal to have the master bedroom directly above the kitchen. As it is believed that there is a higher incidence of a "fire" starting in a kitchen. Thus, this has more to do with "safety" aspect than of Feng Shui. However, in modern times, things like smoke detectors / fire alarm sensors / panels maybe in the master bedroom can help in such a situation. As fire travels upwards and such things can help. 2. Under Symbolic Feng Shui:- 2.1. Yes, the stove direclty below the toilet bowl is a major concern. Often, again one aspect is based on commonsense Feng Shui as often the sewerage pipe is thus directly above…

    1. In my opinion, it is very common especially for new couples to "conserve" their money and try not to overspent or worse, become so indebted even before carrying on a "new life". In fact, quite alot of couples I know previously, have kept some of the "unmoveable" fixtures such as what you had mentioned especially built in wardrope. 2. As mentioned above, money does not fall out of the sky! And often without money or savings or if we do have monetary problems between couples.. it is one of the leading cause of "separation" etc.. 3. Especially for the entire home, one of the best key successfactors is to definitely re-paint the entire home. 4. Prior to taking over the…

Dear Eva, 1. This has more to do with `safety' then Feng Shui. But because of this, many Feng Shui practittioners (advise) that one should not have the bedroom above kitchen stove. (Especially if it is directly. As some may argue that it may `burn' a relationship.) 2. In my personal opinion, you are not using a business stove with very high flames and is not cooking at night. 3. If you have a smoke detector, all the better. More concern is the million to one chance of a kitchen catching fire and as fire travels upwards, this is the `cause for concern. ' Warmest Regards, Cecil

Many geomancers consider the following: 1. Preferably an altar should be made of wood or concrete. 2. An altar should not be made of glass. 3. It should be of a favourable dimension. 4. The joss stick urn/holder should preferably be made of brass and not glass or marble/earth element. 5. A metal altar should not be used unless it is (looked into... ) as favourable on the advice of a geomancer. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  24. Hi Cecil, According to your reply to Peter Chen re:5 yellow, could you please explain what you meant by 5 yellow not necessarily be at the North this Lunar year? If I am not mistaken, 5 yellow will indeed stay there for the duration of the new year, although this doesn't mean everyone will be affected by it. Even if that sector of a home has other prosperous stars and the 5 yellow doesn't affect the lucky occupants, wouldn't it be necessary for one to be cautious and may be take some precautions like putting metal coins there. (to be on the safe side.) Thanks
