Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Pls advise on which birthdate should we use for all kinds of feng shui calculator ( eg. four pillar, kua, bazi, etc ) - the solar ( as in the birth certificate) or chinese lunar date? The online calculators on our website requires the use of your western/gregorian/solar date and time of birth (as defined in your birth certificate). It will then do the necessary conversion to the chinese lunar calendar for any specific analysis. That is why you will see a western and lunar calendar information at the beginning of the report for you to counter check to ensure that the information are correct. Hope that helps. Hi Master Lee, We are planning on buying a house. It is a nice neighborhood but the house is located on the exterior curve. It is also trapezoid in shape. At the back is a commercial building, with a road leading to that building. Is there a way to improve good luck and make it auspicious if we can’t put up a wall infront of it?

Dear Anon, The size of the diameter circle can be between 2.2 cm to 2.8 cm. For the star, can be slightly larger, from tip to tip at around 3 cm. Need not be larger than the above per `foil'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Butter, 1. There are two alternatives: 1.1 This may not be practical but it is always good to use a good compass with relatively good mass. But if you cannot obtain one or find it not worth the while than follow para 1.2 (see below) 1.2 Method 1, go to an empty plot of land nearby or a grass field (becareful not to wear any jewellery or take a few readings from the grass field incase it does also have metallic objects on the ground. After which, get a layout plan and try to `superimpose' the north-south direction on the layout plan. 1.3 The next alternative is to follow the surveyor's method under this picture:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm Do not tak…

Dear Anon, 1. It is interesting to find out the survey results on the following question:- 2. Are you comfortable sleeping facing a TV set (mirror)? A short simple 3 questions survey. 3. The results of the above survey can be found under this URL:- http://www.geomancy.net/polls/ (The third last question on the above polls menu). 4. From what you had mentioned, this need not necessary be considered as `poison arrows'. Some of us may be `immune' to or are not affected by the `reflection'. While others may be affected by it. 5. Perhaps, you may like to ask yourself the following question:- "Am I able to sleep comfortably with it there (the closet mirror)?" If you either fee…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: So I thought of hanging a Convex mirror at theroom window but there is no space above the windowto hang the mirror. Could I still place the mirror at top of the window. So far I didn't see an attached drawing. However, there should be no issue hanging the mirror at the top of the window instead of the above the window. As long as precaution are made to prevent the mirror from dropping down. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Bail, Thanks for the two pictures Quote: Bail Lim wrote: I just want to ask if it is good to put computer in between the two beds?below is a link of my bedroom picture. Yes, there are two issues with such an arrangement: 1. the edge of the computer tableis a form of a poison arrow aimed towards the bed. 2. usually not ideal to place an older CRT monitor next to the bed-head especially if it is turned on, when we are sleeping. Once, turned off during sleep, should not pose an issue. Quote: Another Question is that if it is good to have the kitcen stove facing the door of my bedroom? Dear Liz, 1. When using a dragon, allow it to have a straight path between the dragon and the poison arrow. For example, it should not be aimed at the poison arrow in the path of the work desk to the poison arrow. 2. The dragon was given to me as a gift and I merely use to, in my opinion, I found it effective against poison arrow. As it is a wooden dragon, it is hard to find it. Usually, most common are crystal or metal (gold plated) dragons. At the same time, I have curtains on both sides. The poison arrow, at my home is diagonal and not directly slices the home balcony. 3. In my opinion, you can use the small dragon pointed at the poison arrow. Where possible, if you h…

1. Find the root cause of the problem (Applies also to Feng Shui): http://geomancy.net/events/CDL_FS_Talk/talk_1_slide_22.htm 2. How are others in the same industry performing (from their home office): http://geomancy.net/events/CDL_FS_Talk/talk_1_slide_24.htm 3. 1. The most sensible approach, here is based on the concept of Maximizing Marks:- http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks 2. Here, it is good to draw a chart, should one decide to say compare between two or more homes; for example:- Is the main door sector a good sector under Flying Star? Yes / No The master bedroom : Is it good for me under the Eight Mansions and try to check out what is the Eight Mansions in relation to where the toilet, kitchen etc... And under Flying Star, where is the water star #8 located. Is it wasted in the kitchen area? etc... Thus one cans take note how many good points vs bad points for each of the home under some of …

Comment: Looks like the "nightmare" has began for those who are considering or trying to sell their existing 99 leasehold flat. For those who bought theirs on the resale market especially in the last two years would realise that some may have already started to make a paper-loss; depending on location, view and level. Median COV for flats drops to $8,000 The Straits Times 6 December 2013 By JANICE HENG CASH premiums for HousingBoard flats have fallen furtherand faster than expected as housing curbs continue to bite. The median cash-over-valuation (COV) dropped to $8,000last month from $11,444 in October, ahead of predictions that itwould hit $10,000 by the yearend, accord…

Hi Cecil and Robert! I'm currently looking for a resale flat as my first home and actually quite like the unique look and convenience of Waterway Terraces. Chanced upon your site while doing research as I think it's important for a home to have good fengshui. I notice that you've picked out some "less bad" units for Waterway Terrace 2 (https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/12776-hdb-punggol-waterway-terraces-ii-premium-flats/), did you do something similar for Waterway Terrace 1? If so, I could not find it! Would love to use that as a reference. Cheers, J

Dear Jeanette, These should be the most important considerations (first):- 1. Sewerage pipe running below the home Try to check where the sewerage pipe / manhole runs in the home. Sometimes, it may run from the frontage towards the back of the home. In such a situation, check to see where possible, it does not run below a bedroom or the living room area. The best or (nice to have) is to have the sewerage system running from the backyard towards, the home. Here, often, toilets should be placed, first. 2. For a two storey home, try to work out the steps for the home. This is because, the number of steps have a significance. Please refer to the attached word d…

Dear Elena, 1. Overall, this `area' comes under the concept of Yin and Yang and the NE (Devil's gate) and SW (Devil's back door). 2. The type of tree is also very important here: 2.1 Look at the tree. Does the tree i.e. the leaves branch out and occupies a large diameter of the location e.g. does it create such a large `foot print' that the area below the tree is one `big' darken area. Where possible the tree should not create too yin an environment (below it). The larger the foot print, it is less ideal. Particulary if it is too close to the house. 2.2 It would not be auspicious for the tree to be at the compass direction NE or SW. Some of us may not believe in spirits b…

1. You have to determine your Ba Zi element, first:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-personal-element.htm 2. As ultimately, your ba zi element will determine whether you are a weak or strong element. And your element could belong to either: metal, water, wood, fire or earth. As being a "water dog" is not enough information.

Dear Varnie, As I do not have a good picture of how your house looks like, it is difficult to really comment on just the NorthEast. Usally, the flow of Qi is looked at from the whole house i.e. window positions, the main entrance, the back area (windows, doors) etc... This is because Qi usually has an escape point as it moves from one side to the other end. Factors including air pressure e.g. high/low pressure points especially if one is living close to the sea differs from day and night. Generally, not to sound too complicated, layout plans in relation to the windows/doors are a preferred way of looking at it. Taking into consideration other factors such as the shape / m…

Dear Liz, 1. As mountain star suggest, if you own a home that has a few levels, the mountain star should be activated at the ground level of the house rather than at any upper floors. 2. It should not be activated at the ground level and again at the upper levels. 3. To properly activate a mountain star it should preferablly be at the back of the house or at the backdoor area. 3.1 Imagine that the mountain should be protecting the back of the house. 3.2 One should imagine that the frontage or passage ways should always be of clear space. 3.3 If one wants to activate the mountain star, it can still be done, provided it is available and at the wall that does not have a wind…

Dear David, 1. The best solution is to see if the bookself can have e.g. doors. Other than this, some cover the bookself with cloth but may not look appropriate. 2. As for the cabinet, it may not be a threat unless the EDGE is pointing towards you. Warmest Regards, Cecil
