General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Started by kj,

Dear Karen, Generally, what you mentioned is acceptable. The main thing is that so long as there is no direct path between the bedroom and the exterior or Qi comes and exit out, this is fine. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  2. Hi , master Cecil! We have the opportunity to build a new home that is either face NE or SW. Problem is, my husband and i are both East (4 & 9) group. What can we do? Which would be better for us? Also, as I am trying to practice and apply remedies to our current home, I get confused as to which one should take precedence or which one should I give more weight, the annual stars or the natal chart of the house? v>Thank you and I look forward to reading your sage advice.

Dear Sophia, I am not to clear whether pumpkin (American slang) is similar to the local use of the term melon. But, if what your friend had displayed, locally in Singapore we call this "pumpkin" melon instead. Some call it golden melon because of it's colour. Usually, much like the mandarin oranges or "kum"; this is the phonetic sound like "Gold" for the Cantonese dialect group. Thus, exchanging a pair of mandarin oranges is like exchanging gold for the Cantonese. Thus, an orange melon also has the look of "gold" and in my opinion, perhaps, more readily associated with the Cantonese. And during the new year period, this melon or pumpkin? has been marketed to sell …

  4. Dear Anon, 1. Yes, it is good feng shui to have the kitchen share an external wall. 2. It can be the wash basin. 3. `Rooms' that do not share an external wall would imply that they are somewhere in the interior of the house (not necessary centrepoint) but somewhere in the `interior'. This applies to other `four walled' rooms such as a bedroom. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Frankly, what you are asking is : I post this layout with my compass direction and you tell me where is it best for me to place a water feature. 2. Please note that this is a Free General Advise forum. 3. Your layout and compass directions are so specific to your case only. 4. Little wonder that no matter which website you try to find your answers, it has to be tailored to your layout and specific compass direction. There is no two ways about. 5. Imagine, if everyone post a layout plan, and expect specific answers... this is not the agenda of this forum. (Newbie or no newbie. Dear Anon, Please see below:- I am not sure which theory are you applying. But if it is the Eight House Theory or East/ west 4 Group of persons: There is not much cure other than to keep the location bright. For example, ideally it is god to keep the whiles (painted) in neutral colors such as white or pastel shades of it. In many instances, a FS practitoner would most probably recommend that the kitchen should be an auspicious sector (in particular) the placement of the kitchen stove. In this area, some would comment that it should be auspicious for the breadwinner while others would recommend that it be auspicious for the spouse (wife). Overall, I personally fee…

If purely based on the Five elements concept, metal destroys wood to create wealth. Thus, if we consider a pilot as belonging to the wood element, then it is considered as auspicious for a strong metal person.

Hi Mr Cecil, If you not able to answer in-depth, will u able to advise whether which wall (mirror 1 or mirror 2) is best to place the mirror? Hope to hear from you. Thanks.

  14. Started by song,

Dear Song Kin San, Frankly, you can choose any of the 4 good directions. It does not really matter which belongs to which direction as best or not. As long as you sit face one of your good direction, you will enjoy luck from your suitable direction. Of course, we try to assoicate which type of sector is best for which. So for bedroom or sleeping position, obviously it is best for the health or longevity. However, it won't be wrong even if you choose to have your bed facing prosperity etc. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, The most important thing is for the 6 rods to be all Metal, especially brass. The rest of the support is fine to be non Metal. The point is because 6 rods is Strong Metal. So it is most effective when the rod are metal. If you use like 5 rods it is Earth element. And if you use like 3/4 rods is Wood element etc. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, If possible try to see if you can plot a Flying Star chart. If so, check to see if: #5 misfortune / sickness and/or #2 sickness and/or #9 fire fuelling sickness are in the room or not. The cure depends on the severity of any of the above and or combinations of them. Dear Anon, Frankly, there are a few ways to determine a good date:- 1. For most people using the Tong Shu helps them to generally find a good date. 2. Others based on the full moon or half moon. Normally, 1st or 15th of the month are generally considered auspicious dates. 3. More personalised analysis by considering the individual ba zi in addition to key tong shu event. Our website uses this method so it is like having a personalised forecast of best dates just for the two person being analysed. Either way, as long as you it is done properly, tends to be able to find a good date for you. I won't worry too much if you cannot change the date as you can also attempt t…

The best way is to put a partition or divider to force the Qi to flow around the house rather than just in and out. 24. Dear Anon, 1. Under the Eight House Theory, to determine how suitable the house is to the breadwinner. If your mum is the breadwinner than, this house (subject to other Feng Shui theories) is said to be `suitable' for her. 2. Is the kitchen considered the back of the apartment? If it is the back of the house, it would be best for the opposite, a mound rather than a slope. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Angie, 1. For the front door (main entrance); if a lamp post looks like `slicing' thru it, then this is a `sha qi' or poison arrow. 2. One can apply the `triangle effect' by placing two plants on both sides of the main entrance. By doing so, symbolically the two plants with the lamp post forms a `triangle'. With the point (lamp post) pointed towards the neighbour's home. 3. Another option is to place a semi-cicular rug outside the main entrance (radiating outwards). Preferably the carpet should be red. As red represents the fire element and will help destroy or neutralise a METAL lamp post. Please note that if the lamp post is made of a wooden post (WOOD) element the…
