Dear Constance, constance king wrote: hi, on my luck pillar analysis/summary, as weak water (east), i should stay in a house facing direction for metal to further improve my luck...and avoid nw & ne as house facing direction as it will further reduce my luck. but nw, ne west and sw are the 4 good directions for metal. also, if i use house facing direction for metal, does it mean i should use all 4 good directions (west)for metal instead? thanks In general, there are two concepts when it comes to house suitability:- 1. Eight House (4 good or 4 bad directions). This tells you how you suitable a room or house. Even though, this is based on the year of birth, the it is…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, the soil should not be an issue especially under your condition. As there is a real need to keep the plants `alive'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- I am not sure which theory are you applying. But if it is the Eight House Theory or East/ west 4 Group of persons: There is not much cure other than to keep the location bright. For example, ideally it is god to keep the whiles (painted) in neutral colors such as white or pastel shades of it. In many instances, a FS practitoner would most probably recommend that the kitchen should be an auspicious sector (in particular) the placement of the kitchen stove. In this area, some would comment that it should be auspicious for the breadwinner while others would recommend that it be auspicious for the spouse (wife). Overall, I personally fee…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is it advisable for a strong water person to make investment in share market? I believe share market falls under fire element. The art of investment is Metal element. While the general Share Market is Earth element. Fire because it deals with lots of selling. As a Strong Water person., Fire/Earth is favourable for you. Metal may make you overly strong so the overall is considered favourable because it consist of Fire - A Strong Water will benefit from this career, but a weak water person will not. Fire and Earth will destroy your weak water. So much so that the Metal influence from investment will be overwhelmed. Hope that helps. Warme…

Dear Karen, Generally, what you mentioned is acceptable. The main thing is that so long as there is no direct path between the bedroom and the exterior or Qi comes and exit out, this is fine. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Varnie, As I do not have a good picture of how your house looks like, it is difficult to really comment on just the NorthEast. Usally, the flow of Qi is looked at from the whole house i.e. window positions, the main entrance, the back area (windows, doors) etc... This is because Qi usually has an escape point as it moves from one side to the other end. Factors including air pressure e.g. high/low pressure points especially if one is living close to the sea differs from day and night. Generally, not to sound too complicated, layout plans in relation to the windows/doors are a preferred way of looking at it. Taking into consideration other factors such as the shape / m…

Comment: Looks like the "nightmare" has began for those who are considering or trying to sell their existing 99 leasehold flat. For those who bought theirs on the resale market especially in the last two years would realise that some may have already started to make a paper-loss; depending on location, view and level. Median COV for flats drops to $8,000 The Straits Times 6 December 2013 By JANICE HENG CASH premiums for HousingBoard flats have fallen furtherand faster than expected as housing curbs continue to bite. The median cash-over-valuation (COV) dropped to $8,000last month from $11,444 in October, ahead of predictions that itwould hit $10,000 by the yearend, accord…

Dear Anon, This also has to depend on the regulations of individual countries. For example, in Singapore, today, all apartment especially those next to or in-close proximity to either the lifts or emergency staircase must use at least a half-hour fire rated main entrance door. Thus doors with such glass designs are out -- as it is against government building regulations. For other countries e.g. Malaysia, you may have to confirm whether it can be used. Locally in Singapore, most people -- even those living in the landed property avoid having partial glass doors because more of "custom" i.e. not quite used to the IDEA (in our minds) as it invokes "danger" real or unrea…

Dear Anon, The most important thing is for the 6 rods to be all Metal, especially brass. The rest of the support is fine to be non Metal. The point is because 6 rods is Strong Metal. So it is most effective when the rod are metal. If you use like 5 rods it is Earth element. And if you use like 3/4 rods is Wood element etc. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My front door is alligned with the back door and not alot of things are between them. I can't get a tree right now because it'll be cold soon and they might lose their leaves, or does it matter? Is it ok to use fake trees? Or is there any other ways than tree to help this situation? Thanks The main problem with this back door and front door is the Qi leak from the front door out to the back door. The best way is to put a partition or divider to force the Qi to flow around the house rather than just in and out. Just like this example:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-breath.htm A fake tree should be still ok or anything a…

1. In Feng Shui, the kitchen belongs to the lady of the house. The corner where one choose to place a kitchen depends on each individual home. In general, the Eight House chart of the lady of the house is considered, in addition to your first few written lines where possible it should not be at NW etc... The Flying Star chart of each of one of the 15 directions also need to be considered. 2. Thus it is so easy to provide a one liner statement " which corner would you place a kitchen. " Similarly, which corner you place a toilet. The key word is " It Depends!" Quote: Anonymous wrote: I been reading all the message that is not good to have the kitchen in the NW, center…

1. You have to determine your Ba Zi element, first:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-personal-element.htm 2. As ultimately, your ba zi element will determine whether you are a weak or strong element. And your element could belong to either: metal, water, wood, fire or earth. As being a "water dog" is not enough information.

Dear Cheui May, By taking the sector, North is water, this is one of the usage under a another theory known as Ba Zhi Feng Shui. However, there is some disadvantage with this theory. It is because, for those who are not sure about this application and simply take North is water thus assume that it is suitable to a person is not 100 percent correct. As there are many other factors to consider e.g. clashes, triple combinations, twin combinations, harm, punishment, self-punishment and the 24 mountain element. If all these are not taken into account, the Ba Zhi Feng Shui is as static as using the Eight Aspirations theory where SW is romance etc... If you really want to use …

Dear Anon, Frankly, there are a few ways to determine a good date:- 1. For most people using the Tong Shu helps them to generally find a good date. 2. Others based on the full moon or half moon. Normally, 1st or 15th of the month are generally considered auspicious dates. 3. More personalised analysis by considering the individual ba zi in addition to key tong shu event. Our website uses this method so it is like having a personalised forecast of best dates just for the two person being analysed. Either way, as long as you it is done properly, tends to be able to find a good date for you. I won't worry too much if you cannot change the date as you can also attempt t…

If purely based on the Five elements concept, metal destroys wood to create wealth. Thus, if we consider a pilot as belonging to the wood element, then it is considered as auspicious for a strong metal person.

Hi , master Cecil! We have the opportunity to build a new home that is either face NE or SW. Problem is, my husband and i are both East (4 & 9) group. What can we do? Which would be better for us? Also, as I am trying to practice and apply remedies to our current home, I get confused as to which one should take precedence or which one should I give more weight, the annual stars or the natal chart of the house? v>Thank you and I look forward to reading your sage advice.

Dear Carol, You are absolutely correct. 28 Jan 1960 to 14 Feb 1961 = Year of the Metal-Rat While:- 8 Feb 1959 to 27 Jan 1960 = Year of the Earth-Pig 15 Feb 1961 to 4 Feb 1962 = Year of the Metal-Ox 5 Feb 1962 to 24 Jan 1963 = Year of the Water-Tiger Source / References:- http://www.geomancy.net/love/a30-50.htm and http://www.geomancy.net/love/a60-80.htm Year of the Tiger only `arrived' on 5 February 1962.
