Usually, the Flying Star number(s) of a sector is analysed. However, if this is not done; then try to go for neutral colours like beige (cream),grey orbrown or mostly pastel colours. For bright colours like RED, BRIGHT YELLOW or GREEN; if not sure try to stay clear of these - if possible.

I'm getting in the mood to repaint my living room. But I'm wondering, and I'm in no big hurry, is it better to hold off till after the 8 period kicks in. If so, will the qi of the home adapt to that new vibration? Thanks.

  4. Dear Ewa, Here are some guidelines as to the placement of the stove and water elements (water elements include the sink & fridge):- If the Kitchen is located at the South (Fire), East (Wood) and South-East (Wood) ,W (Metal) and West (Metal) In the above situations, the `fire' in the kitchen will not `die' out and even if you have a water position opposite the stove, it is fine. In fact, a water position opposite the stove at the above locations can help `cool' down the fire. If the Kitchen is located at the North (Water), North-East (Earth ) and South-West (Earth) In the above situation, where there Water and Earth, the fire can easily be extinguished, you should NEVE…

Further to what I had mentioned; 1. the key success factor is to fine tune towards one's home or office Feng Shui. 2. Best to analyse each 20 Year Flying Star chart of any sector in relation to especially the yearly stars. Some even go as far as looking at the monthly stars: especially nothing "problem areas". 2.1 For example, if we already are concerned with a particular sector e.g. East where there are MS #5 with WS#9 with Base #5; then in that year, if the #5 fell into that sector and other nasty stars e.g. #5 or #2 or even fire #9 falls into that sector : which is a bedroom then take greater preventive measures. 1. Avoid / get rid of back stabber (xiao ren) Under…

    1. Since the door is facing the staircase, the concept is "if it is not seen it is no longer a threat" applies. Thus, it should be placed such that the staircase is fully or partially blocked. 2. In Singapore weather, the most common - easy to maintain are those from the bamboo family is one of the easiest to upkeep. The yellow bamboo and common straight growing ones are OK. Any other plants so long as they don't have a single trunk would be accepable.

Dear Cecil, Thanks for your reply. I have 2 more questions: 1. What are the most important evil stars? Are both star 2 & 5 we should always watch out? 2. If both living room & dining room are covered by 3 sectors. How can we apply the cure effectively? Will the cure interfere with stars in other sections? Looking forward to your reply. Huu

  13. Hi Cecil, I did the free reports on your web and found out that my bazi I am wood and east direction and my hb bazi is oso wood and southeast direction . happened that both our kua is east group as well. Our house frontage is a S2/3 facing where our main door is at NE sector and bedroom is at W sector . Under period 8 flying stars understand the frontage is good for us however with our bedroom location facing west (not so ideal direction for east grp but with good numbers 1 and 6) and main door at northeast (with bad numbers like 7,2,9) is this still considered a good unit for us? I have also read tht kitchen must Not be at nw area which thankfully it is not . May I chec…

    1. Please note that us human beings have our ba zi (or individual and combined ba zi) elements. 2. In addition, a home also has it's own "birth chart" or ba zi. Usually, it can be evaluated using Flying Star Feng Shui. A proper Feng Shui audit uses both Para 1 and 2 to determine the best colours for an area. This is normally how it is done, today. In the past, Feng Shui was not so "sophisticated" then and some either apply Kindergarten type of Feng Shui; where north = water, south = fire etc... Unfortunately, there are some who still uses this type of Feng Shui.

I am gua#7. Bedroom takes up two sectors. North (737) and NE (519) where remedies are in place. Forms support #7 and #5, although #5 near window. Bed is under window on north wall away from #5. Window closed at night time during winter, open at night time during summer. Very large bed so husband and self sleep with heads pointing to good directions, sleep head to toe. Only other wall is the south wall of the bedroom with ensuite on the other side. West and east walls have built in robes. If I apply small taiji to this bedroom, the best place for bed would be on south wall where South is 628 and SW 846. However as stated, ensuite bathroom on other side of south wall. If I …

Dear Anon, A warm welcome to you. If you know how to use a simple graphic program to draw a simple profile of the layout plan, it is best that you post it to the conference: Conference for Attaching layout. Better still if it is a scanned image of your layout plan (not too large) in .jpg or .bmp or .gif format. In this case, I can draw the centrepoint for you and post it to this forum. Thanks in advance. (Else I will try to figure out your description.) If you like you can try out this alternative method:- Step 1: Photocopy an exact layout of your home. Step 2: Paste a copy of the photocopy of the layout plan on a cardboard. Step 3: Cut-out the outline of the house. Step …

Dear Anon, 1. One thing for sure: Economically, it has future resale potential being in a popular/higher priced area. 2. In terms of Feng Shui, these are `point-block' type of condo. 3. And, point block condos are, in my opinion, has better qi flow and `points' of entry of qi in and out of the unit(s). 4. The major consideration is that although this is a `point block', it does not have the rectangular point block feature. A rectangular point block often has at least `three-points' of qi flow e.g. balcony, various bedrooms and kitchen or back area. And a forth, qi flow coming from the main door. 5. But the condo does allow for exceptional length of `frontage'. 6. As for …

However, if your house is a North house (since u mentioned that it is a suitable house to you) then North should be considered as `Excellent'. If can confirm that North = Excellent then your most suitable house is a North house. Under a North House: East - Health SE - Prosperity …

In order to get a good advise, you will need someone to first assess like your ba zi, your office feng shui then be able to give you a proper analysis on how you can improve your overall feng shui. There is not going to be any single or general tips that can work for you. Feng Shui needs to be personalised and harmonise to your situation before you can enjoy the full potential. So I would …

Dear Kaushal, 1. In my opinion, if possible, especially the common areas, create a `bright' environment. 2. In the past, I try to relate the floor tiles more towards the 5 elements i.e. see if can match the house. 3. But this is very difficult to do. For example, do we consider the House element and match it with the house (flooring) or to the various individuals living in the house? It is difficult to find a `binding' element for more than two persons. 4. Thus nowadays, I would consider it more practical to look at if from the Yin and Yang Concept. 5. Here, in the common areas e.g. living room etc.. choose a floor tile that looks clean and bright. Avoid, black tiles unl…

Dear Anon, Please accept my condolences. I believe many of us share your grief and understand what you are going thru. Life has to basically go on in his memory. Hope that you can continue to enrich your life and make him proud. Life is also a yo-yo and there are ups and downs. Certain aspects of Feng Shui can help to reduce deaths due to `accidents/disasters' but if it due to the process of old age, all of us are not immune to it. I am really short for words at this moment but..Do take care of your health! Warmest Regards, Cecil
