Dear Kaushal, 1. In my opinion, there should be many qualities a good FS consultant should have. 2. I believe many of such good qualities are similar to other "professions". 3. I have to consider FS a profession because it "involves" human lifes. Although it is not in the same league as being a Doctor. But, if wrongly applied, or wrongly `worshipped' it can do harm (both physical and others). 4. Physical as it is a form of metaphysics and in some sense, it can be considered like `playing with nature' or (unnatural). It is left to each of us to decide the degree of effect it has on some of us. 5. I still clearly remember an message that was sent to the feng shui newsgroup…

Dear Jasmine, In fact, there are other comments that I had not mentioned about space above a garage: 1. Let's take an example of a building on stilts or stilt type legs. Where the building is above the ground. Some FS practitioners say that an occasional bad spirit may pass trough the stilted legs of the building, they are said to attack the weakest parts of the building which are the corners of the support beams/legs. 2. Some feel that because there is emptyness below, the structure may not support the entire room upstairs. (This is absurd unless, there is severe structural problem or poor construction material used). 3. There are many of such stories relating to this. …

Dear Grace, Anonymous wrote: I have my waterstar8 in the NE sector of my home according to flyingstarchart. However I am doubtful inactivating it as it says in San He water method-Not to place water in northeast ,this being period8.Your advice One cannot just blinding activate a star without considering other factors such as the other stars in the sector or whether it is an appropriate asector or not. For example, if NE is not a living room or clear space, then you will not benefit from activating the water sar. Or if the other stars in the sector will in activate other bad stars, then it may not be beneficial to activate the sector. Though, in a house one might have …

Dear Anon, After taking a second look at your sketch, althought the sketch is not to scale, but based on your sketch, the stove seems to be close to or at the centrepoint of the home. Based on one criteria of Shapes and Forms Feng shui, where possible, a fire position should not occupy the centrepoint of the home. Should the cross lines of your compass marking (thru scale) does not cut into the centrepoint = stove then, it is ok. This is especially true especially where a toilet bowl should where where possible not be at the centrepoint, also. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Usually, changing the angle of the front door is only "temporary". This is because, the entire building "frontage" is fixed. And often, tilting the door may not bring significant results. As ultimately the "frontage" or actual facing direction of the home remains the same. 2. If Flying Star Feng Shui has been applied, usually a Feng Shui practitioner will try to advise on ways to "disarm" especially "loss of wealth stars" such as #5 (misfortune, sickness) and #3 (Lawsuits, quarrels, conflicts, scandals). 3. If there are further opportunities, one may consider placing a water position in the home to tap good wealth or activate a mountain position. SANDHAYA M. wrote: …

Dear GuanPing, Please see below:- We have divided the time such that there will not be a situation where a 2 hour time frame should not overlap another 2 hour time frame. In addition, one Chinese hour is considered 2 western hours. Thus, we would consider both you and your brother as both `WEI' because it pass the 1 pm time frame. However, it also depends on how the timing is recorderd on the birth certificate as it may not show the actual time born. Here is our opinion about twin's related chart and hour pillar:- 1. Hour pillar In our opinion, even if you ignore the hour pillar, we can still get a pretty accurate reading of your life. However, with an accurate hour p…

1. Sorry to hear about it. 2. More importantly, the new burial site - if any is very important. However, if cremation - this is considered neutral. 3. Other than the above; what can change is one's earth luck: Feng Shui for the living (one's home Feng Shui and office Feng Shui are very important) factors.

Dear Help, I believe what you had printed out is based on the Eight House Theory. Since you are building a new house, if you can get Professional Feng Shui help instead. This is because, if you are new to Feng Shui, there are lots of considerations. For example, 1. Shapes and Form It is not only about your house but the surrounding environment i.e. the landscape and especially the site. Consideration include any water positions at the front, side or back of the house, the other landmarks or buidings nearby. 2. The Flying Star of the House This consideration is equally as important as finding a suitable house that match the breadwinner. There are many more considerations…

Dear Anon, 1. Usually the combination occurs specific to the Flying Star Chart being generated. We have provided the interpretation of the various combinations under the generated reports for Flying Star. 2. In the future, once I am fully satisifed with the Flying Star Course, will have the information available for those taking the courses. As there are 81 combinations of Mountain and Water Stars, as not every combination are the same for each person, as mentioned, we have already provided this in under our Flying Star Report at www.geomancy-online.com Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Firstly, a warm welcome! The common saying goes " Rome was not built in a day". Nowadays with easy access to the website, you try to begin exploring authentic Traditional Feng Shui. How to start? The Chinese Luck system is based on "the holy trinity" of luck. And one can classify most of the systems in general under:- 1. Heaven Luck - what one is suppose to be born with 2. EarthLuck - The Feng Shui of one's home &/or office 3. Human or Man Luck - self, relationship with others One useful start is to read the various articles in this forum classified under one of the three categories to better understand the three different luck systems. Other useful…

Dear Chan, Is it possible to attach a simple sketch preferably: 1. The layout plan (it can be a rough one) 2. A sketch of the `bigger' picture i.e. the plot of land in relation to the location of the fire station; roads, neigbhouring houses etc.. In my opinion, it is best to understand the above, properly before I can comment further. (For Para 2, if not a sketch, perhaps can elaborate more about): How high is the property you intend to purchase, where is the ^ `pointed' roof shape `pointed to'. How high is the fire station. What is the distance between it and your house (is there any road between) and whether are there plants / trees in the house compound? If there is a…

Dear Anon, 1. Although sector Feng Shui is not practised here, I really don't see any harm in doing so i.e. SW = romance sector... 2. The 33.3 percent rule-set: 2.1 Usually, under Feng Shui; major impact is based on this rule-set. For example if we paint the walls in the bedroom `pink'; and if it > 33.3 percent of the entire surface of the walls in the room; then the predominate element is changed to Fire element (pink). 2.2 Usually, a small item e.g. rose quartz is a minor element - thus considered relatively little impact on a sector. It can be considered as decorative item. 3. Symbolism in Feng Shui Here, symbolism is important in Feng Shui. For example, the use of …

Dear Anon, 1. Frankly, this type of question is easy to write. But, never easy to reply to. 2. If you are truly interested in Flying Star Feng Shui, you should take up a course on it. 3. The saying goes " God help those who help themselves". 4. The next best option is to get Paid help from any competent Feng Shui practitioner. Often, here, you have to provide certain inputs to the practitioner. I often emphasied that, this forum is meant as: 1. A catalyst to help one understand Feng Shui 2. For good questions, one can often get a lengthy response. 3. If one goes thru some of the questions which although I had verified or approved but has to do with: My Gua Kua no is .... …

Dear Deepti, Please see below:- One must correctly understand the purpose of the Eight House Theory:- 1. In general, it can be used to find out how suitable a house is to the breadwinner. 2. It is good to have good intangible force in the bedroom. If the sector is not as auspicious to one spouse but good for the other spouse; the spouse who has the "better" intangible force sleeps closer to that sector (shielding) the other partner. Thus if North (bedroom) is an auspicious sector for the husband e.g. his health sector; while it is the disaster sector for the wife; then the husband sleeps closer to this sector. The Eight House theory is mainly about the above t…

Dear Robert, Generally, wealth (whether Direct Wealth or Indirect Wealth) are good regardless of whether there are more direct or more indirect wealth. Everyone would like to have as many of these as possible. A person with extremely good wealth luck means that they have more than 7 or more at any one time. Most average person have between 2-4. Some even have 0. All it does show if any are how much wealth opportunities a person might be given or have in their life. One must remember, that wealth does not necessary mean pure physical money. True wealth in the old traditional chinese is children. In fact, children are a person's greatest wealth. I mean if a person has 5…

Dear Elena, 1. It is not necessary to turn on the lamp 24 hours a day. This is most uneconomical. 2. The best alternative is to use red or purple to represent the fire element. 3. I do not recall, using the red thread on its own. A red thread is used to control the cure of using 6 coins. Where the red thread is used to control the big metal. (Not let it out of control). 4. Quite effective is to use objects that are red. For example a table lamp with a red shade. (Purple is acceptable but red is the best). "Imaginative" but effective cures include disply Coca Cola cans etc.. The size should effective be the size of at least 4 coca cola cans or a reasonable sized (regular)…

Dear Anon, I believe you are missing the point. Even if a wind chime CAN be used in Feng Shui does not give it an `outright' stamp of approval to be used at one's whims and fancy. The other option is for a person, who is not aware of Feng Shui, liked it and install it. This is based on one's feeling and perhaps six sense. Frankly, this is the last that I will entertain such questions. If you feel that the world perhaps revolves around such objects, please go to other forums that will see the world of commerical products. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. There are sufficient resources to highlight the dangers of using wind chime(s) via SEARCH feature in this forum.

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: I came across one of your articles which seemed to say that it is not quite good to have a bedroom above the kitchen. I'm not sure why but my new master bedroom happens to be above the kitchen. What shall I do? Yes. The reason behind it is simple. Since the kitchen is below the bedroom, the likelyhood of a fire to start under the kitchen would be very much higher. As such becomes a pontential danger to the people sleeping above. The most simple and practical way to solve this threat is to install smoke detectors. This will at least alert you in case of such a situation. Dear Rose, *Joke* Perhaps, why there is not much resource in a dentist's waiting room is a real human issue. As all Feng Shui practitioners are (human - flesh and blood); I can say for myself, I dread going to a dentist myself! Erh.. can I excuse myself from this topic:( Jokes aside, Feng Shui can be applied in a dental clinic. I will try to recollect some of the important points for you: 1. Clinic Logo You can mention that often, the investor (often the dentist himself) sets up his/her own practise. For the purpose of this message, when I refer to his / him (I am refering to him or her) else I may inadvertently anger ladies listening in!. A dentist may consult a geomance…

Dear Arthur, 1. In general, a Metal Rat (born say in 1960) is already 43 years old. And a Fire Horse is often 1 year younger. 2. Many years ago, the most common thing is for us to read either Chinese astrology or Western zodiac signs. 3. Many of these readings may create "auto-suggestion". What we read, we may (concious or unconciously) act out the profile. Worse still, the idea of a "self-fulfilling prohercy" 4. Contrary to what one may thing, one has to look at the destructive cycle of the five elements:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm In fact, the destructive cycle is about wealth production. 5. For example: Wood gets nurishment from the Ea…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, this is a recent concept regarding especially the dinning room in the middle of the home. 2. I believe some modern practitioners would say this because to them, it seems that the centre has `meaning' where e.g. the family members can gather `centrally'. 3. Usually, many of these practitioners are those who practise `modern' Feng Shui e.g. fixed templates and use `feelings' and `voice' out Feng Shui. I suspect, these practitioners may not use the Chinese compass in their work. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Health, In my opinion, your husband can proudly display his military service combat medals in: 1. If their is a study room or a visitors room, it can be placed in a display. 2. Alternatively, they can be placed in a specially constructed `picture' frame and mounted on a wall - conversation piece. 3. Usually, the thing to avoid is the placement of e.g. an officer's sword especially having it face the main entrance. Similarly, in my opinion, it is best not to let the medal display face directly towards the main entrance. Otherwise, it can be placed even in the living room area e.g. in a display cabinet. More importantly, it should be placed especially, from your husban…
