I'm abit of confuse here. Generally, most will either start/open business on the 2nd day or 4th day Chinese New Year. Usually, 3rd day is always avoided as it is faithful dog day, where there are some superstitious belief. For longer rest period, it is always best to open on the 6th day for at least a few hours. Dear Ken, Please see below:- The main purpose of Feng Shui is to deflect beneificial qi (or air movement) to allow it to meander and circulate within the house. Often a Shapes and Form practitioner will `mentally' look at this flow. And it would be good that such qi or air can slower meander within or circulate within the confines of corners especially in the living dining (since most houses have both `connected' together). It is an advantage that qi can (especially) if a partition added, help to `move' qi thru the centre flux towards other rooms (for a rectangular layout) and vice versa. The best solution therefore is: 1. To use a screen or partition which should pre…

Dear Mr Teng, Usually, this is considered as an issue but in an apartment as you had mentioned below, not possible to relocate it. For Feng Shui problems, often, there are two or more major flaws within a home to cause us problems. Thus on it's own, it is still acceptable. But if there are more issues in a home, it will add to the problems. Try to make sure that there are if possible, no other major issues in a home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carlos, 1. Numerology can be highly subjective. 2. And it should preferably not be used in most instances. This is because even in Chinese Numeroloy, the interpretation can be pretty diverse. 3. To give you an example: Although, one constantly hear of #5 as bad or `evil' under Flying Star Feng Shui; it is specific to this domain only. 4. For example, #5 also represents the harmony of the Five elements or the Five elements concept: Water, Wood, Fire, Metal and Earth element. 4. Thus, if one asks only a person skilled in Flying Star, he/she may concur and say that anything to do with 5 or double or triple 5's are no good. 5. But on the other hand, another practitione…

Dear Sir, I am considering an entrance level flat in a P7 , NW2 5 storey building. There are 10 households and 5 levels above ground in the building. 1) Attached is the map of the area, building is right under the purple pin, with the pool to the right. I understand this building should face a mountain form as a cure to it being an ''up mountain down water'' flat, There are bushes almost 2.5 meters outside the main entrance of the building- again in NW2. These are high so that my entrance level flat's living room windows which are in the same direction as the entrance , see nothing but these bushes. These bushes are not high as the building though, they would not be seen …

Dear Angeline, Under macro Feng Shui; for Singapore, which is located in the south, ideal colour of doors especially entrance doors is white or represent the metal element. For your case, I have seen the doors and felt that it is `minor' and in my opinion, will not have any effect on your family. As opposed to the headboard which is symbolic of sleeping in a tomb. Therefore, I personally feel that there is no issue and there is no need to paint the lovely `natural' wood coloured door(s). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Five element should be considered under these two scenario:- 1. as a Weak Metal, it means that you generally lack Earth and Metal, thus you are weak. Water and Fire are generally unfavourable for you because they make you weaker. While Wood is your wealth but as a weak metal you are not effectively able to control it. Thus, wood is also not very favourable for you unless you have more Earth and Metal to make you strong. This is always the basic level of application of the five element. 2. A…

Hello Master! I am planning to get married next year (2011). Our target date is from October to December. What would be the perfect lucky date to get married? My birthdate is 2/15/1978 and my boyfriend is 12/05/1979. I will greatly appreciate your answer. Thanks!

  13. So sorry, this is beyond this forum. As lots of time and effort needs to determine, plot, review If Feng Shui is to be applied correctly, one has to plot the Flying Stars and try to either disarm the bad stars or enhance the sectors. For lawsuits: if one can determine correctly the bad flying star number(s) especially: #3, one can use or place a 24 hours light at that specific sector to disarm it. Thus if there are any imbalances in your home; the Flying stars are often used. Your personal kua number: has more to do with how suitable the home; namely your best directions.

Dear Joy, In my opinion, `corner' theories or concepts are usually not used in more professional Traditional Feng Shui practises. Paying `homage' to a corner is not an ideal way to apply Feng Shui. Usually, this is too general to be of any use to anyone. I believe the proper way is to increase one's Luck by looking at Feng Shui from a holistic way i.e. priority goes to Shapes and Form and the use of Compass School methods. Look at it this way: How are we to know that the SW is always the `commitment' area of a location or house? Even if it is for some of us, it cannot be the commitment area for ALL of us. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wendy, 1. Have you done the flooring yet? If not, you can add a little protrusion where the floor tile radiates in a semi-circle. I have added this info in the forum recently. 2. The resource is available under the conference: Info: Feng Shui Tips & guidelines. The posting is: 'Protective' Main Entrance Floor tile. Or do a SEARCH in this forum for Main Entrance Floor tile. 3. In addition, if the sharp pointed pillar is in your home, is it possible to e.g. grow a creeping plant on it. 4. The next best alternative is check what this pointed pillar is made of? 5. If it is made of wood, then, you can place a 6 rod metal wind chime directly facing it. 6. If it is m…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, house numbers are not really based on Feng Shui but numerology. However, within numberology, there are many (many) types of formulas. Sometimes it does not even go into forumlas or methods but simply, the phonetic sound `like'. It is my believe that, if I were to look for a home, my first consideration is location, location and location. I apologise for writing location x 3. But seriously, location is the most single factor that has an impact in Feng Shui and affects our luck. If I were to buy the house, if the house has excellent, good or even average FS, I do not mind buying the house with the no. 2506. Usually, in Asia, where the weekly purcha…

I would strongly recommend that you seek professional consultation services to help you on this. Dear Tim, So such sectors must be corrected to avoid any potential problems. However, for most modern house, the better cure is to ensure that the area is decorated with more Metal influence (ie white colour decor, with more metal furniture etc.) As for the illness issues, besides such cures, it may also be good to have like the modern technology an HEPA air cleaner which can help to reduce germs and further reduce illness. It is just like even if the sector is suitable for you, but the sector can still have very bad feng shui. So the bad stars still have to corrected. Hope that helps. Dear Evamarie, 1. Usually, there is not much cure (if any) for such a ceiling. 2. If the ceiling is not sloping but curved or semi-circular (rounded), this is still acceptable). 3. For the bed, a poster bed where one hangs e.g. a `canopy' or lace or cloth above it is one method of neutralising it. Otherwise, there is really not much can be done. The higher the ceiling, the better it is. Or the effects are considered lesser. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  24. Started by myfs_51714,

Dear Anon, "Five Yellows" is a common term used under Flying Star numerology or Luo Shou grid. Where #5 is known as the misfortune number. It is related to the five elements to the Earth element. As Earth element is represented by Yellow colour, therefore, some Flying Star FS practitioners call it " FIVE (5) Yellow ". Thus e.g. Wu Kwei or 5 ghosts etc.. are other terms and are no where close to nor `associated' with this number. Warmest Regards, Cecil
