Dear Anon, "Five Yellows" is a common term used under Flying Star numerology or Luo Shou grid. Where #5 is known as the misfortune number. It is related to the five elements to the Earth element. As Earth element is represented by Yellow colour, therefore, some Flying Star FS practitioners call it " FIVE (5) Yellow ". Thus e.g. Wu Kwei or 5 ghosts etc.. are other terms and are no where close to nor `associated' with this number. Warmest Regards, Cecil

So not likely to get any further response except for this question:- Qn: Also I heard that 2008 is a good year for marriage - is this correct? This is not entirely true. It really depends on whether the horoscope signsof the bride &groom clash with the year. So not really that it isa good year for all. As I born in the year of monkey and I got retrenched (still jobless now) Can fengshui help me on my job hunting? (I mean improve my chances on getting a new job as soon as possible) Please advise. Thanks.

It is recommended that oneshould be convinced or at least find out which is more accurate. With this, discard the reading that was done differently. Quote: Yan Fen O. wrote: How would that affect the accuracy of the analysis as a result, when a person has 2 different month pillar read by different FS masters?

Dear Daniel, Glad to see you around. 1. 25 computers is indeed alot in a concentrated `classroom'. 2. The best objects are still real plants. This is so far the `best' neutralising element but may not be practical to be implemented. Wishing you all the best in your studies:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, Yes, this is one option. But from past experience, it may not be that effective especially with regards to the Flying Star Feng Shui. Since, often, the facing direction is the frontage and the sitting is directly opposite this. It has more to do with the Eight House theory. Where, we can kill two birds with one stone. For example, if the main door is at NE. Tilting it, to the favourable direction of the breadwinner is good - chiefly if we apply Eight House theory. For Flying Star Feng Shui, often, it is the location with most light or wind activity - and this is where we should determine where the "mouth" of the house is based on where the entire plot is "fac…

Dear Tim, So such sectors must be corrected to avoid any potential problems. However, for most modern house, the better cure is to ensure that the area is decorated with more Metal influence (ie white colour decor, with more metal furniture etc.) As for the illness issues, besides such cures, it may also be good to have like the modern technology an HEPA air cleaner which can help to reduce germs and further reduce illness. It is just like even if the sector is suitable for you, but the sector can still have very bad feng shui. So the bad stars still have to corrected. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, If one has a recurrent medical problem, it would be advisable to do a Flying Star analysis, to find out further if one is really sleeping under a sickness or misfortune sector. If there is a sickness sector, usually the appropriate cure, should reduce the problem or eliminate it. This is because, the Eight House, cannot tell you about it even it happens to be one of your good sectors under this theory. As for a magnetic pad, it would depend on the nature of the magnetic properties (intensity) and the claims made by the producer of it. If the `claim' is that it can cure arthritis but after sometime, you still have this problem, or instead, giving other problems…

Dear Jack, In my opinion, it is advisable to check the `new' birth chart of a house to find out if it is better or ... worse off in changing the `direction' of the door. Usually, the birth chart based on Flying Star of the existing door direction is looked at (compared to) in relation with the new door direction. Here, one looks at all sectors and check the significance of each sector by looking at: 1. The 81 combinations i.e. comparing the Mountain # with the Water # and the resulting interpretation. 2. The `cures' required. If the original chart needs few `cures' at various sectors. But the new birth chart has lots of `cures'. In such a situation, the former chart is `…

Dear Wasis, When I have the time, I will take pictures of some examples. Do take note that when I mentioned basin (apologies) it is not literally a basin but:- 1. The area is a natural area which is slightly lower than the roads or main roads leading to it. 2. Sometimes, the main roads have been `raised' a few metres higher. Or due to it's natural profile, roads or main roads are built on these higher ground. And houses within it is acessible at a lower level. 3. In some instances, yes, without proper irrigation and when there is an exceptionally high tide, places like " Opera estate " did e.g. once in 20 years had flooding problem. Dear Anon, 1. Yes, I know of some FS practitioners are selling them. 2. Frankly, the eight rod wind chime is a modern invention. 2.1 The reason why I call this a modern invention is because, the Chinese dialect group Cantonese, likes the phonetic sound of `8' or Fatt, or prospertiy. 2.2 Because of this connotation, the trend or fad for the eight rod wind chime started or originated from Hong Kong. 2.3 Locally, I believe some FS practitioners also `catch' on with this. Not so much of its proper use but rather, in my opinion, a profit element. 2.4 Imagine, the cost price of such items can be as low as a few dollars. Hi Anon, Actually,a house should best fit the breadwinner. If the house fits the breadwinner, it also means that the rest of the family will benefit from the luck of the breadwinner since he earns a living for the entire family. The rest of the family does not need to have the entrance or frontage of the house to fit them individually. As long as, each of the family members have a suitable bedroom in which they draw luck from. So that means that it does not mean that each family member must enter the house using a different entrance (or the entrance that fit them individually). This isn't how this concept should be applied. Feng shui shouldn't be making your life mise…

He says it brings bad fortune. Is it true? Plants in general is good. Especially those with flowers. Plants that have torns or sharp branches can indirectly create posion arrows (sha qi). Therefore, like your husband said, it is not as good simply because the it creates lots of torns. What you want in a home is harmony rather than conflicts. Therefore, for this reason it is not so good especially if it is the only plant around. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center …

Dear Vicki, Please see below:- 2. This is because, what was briefly mentioned as South = five yellows, belongs to the Flying Star Theory. 3. But Flying Star Theory, goes further than this simplistic view. 4. Each home falls under one of the 24 mountains (or we call this 24 compass directions). 5. Usually, the relationship of the mountain and water stars are looked at inrelation to the base number. And not in isolation. This 20 year period is then looked at in relation to the Flying Star of the house, for this year. 6. The problem with Fixed Template Feng Shui either based on the `Black hat Sect' or fixing a location such as SW the romance corner is not often reli…

Dear Shauuna, The alternative to "such a complicated" situation is to look to the basics of Chinese principles or concepts:. Most of the time, when we start reading books on Chinese principles and concepts, we will always find:- Uppermost level: Taichi Upper (branch) level : Yin and Yang concept Lower (branch) level: The Five elements concept. What you are trying to "meddle" or "fine tuning" is under the Five elements concept. In a "very complicated" case or sometimes we humans make it so..so ...so complicated... that doing something will impact on the other. Such as... "but I'm afraid that will boost the 9 giving fuel to the 5." There are two possibilities:- 1. Wh…

Dear Elena, If you have not stayed at the house yet, you can get the contractor to paint the entire house. The `worse' effect is if one digs the ground at the Tai Sui's current location or knocks down the wall at the location. This is the main concerned as compared to painting the wall. I would go ahead to paint the entire house but (out of Chinese custom) avoid being at the location when the house/that sector has been painted. Warmest Regards, Cecil

I indicated that there is no right or wrong answers to this. Some of us feel perfectly normal with a mirror in the bedroom (e.g. facing the bed) while others may feel uncomfortable. Do check the feedback from other uses on this. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Denise, Generally, the fish tank is placed in a `water' star position (Under the Flying Star Theory). Not to sound too technical, usually, without doing detailed FS assessment, the acceptable locations is in the living room area (where there is clear space i.e. water star position. Water star implies flat space so for the living room area, generally, it should have low furniture area and acceptable for water position. But since this is a fish tank, it has to be against a wall especially in the living room. Since the toilet already has a water position, it is still acceptable to keep the fish tank in your case in the toilet provided it is reasonable size to accomodate…
