Dear Jisun, You can use this manual method to check your actual Western to Lunar calendar:- http://www.lovesigns.net/astrology/ayear/a60-80.htm This in general, if you are born on or between 2 Feb 1965 to 20 Jan 1966 under the Chinese zodiac, you are considered as a Wood-Snake But if you are born on or between 21 Jan 1966 to 8 Feb 1967 you are considered as a Fire-Horse. You can also make use of the free reports at http://www.geomancy-online.com to generate your correct lunar chart by simply keying-in or input your Western date of birth. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please note that generally, if one is looking at only the Chinese zodiac signs, often, many books written in…

Dear Cecil Thnak you for your fabulous site. We are building a new house facing south west. We plan to have a swimming poolin the south western area, which has a bad water star. The only alternative is a more southerly direction - would it be more auspitious? In any case, what can be done to remedy and protect our veranda which is close to the swimming pool and has a very good mountain star? Thank you very much

Dear Anon, If the pair of hands are stretched out in a `receiving' position, it would not be `auspcicious' unless the hands hold something. A pair of `empty' hands symbolises e.g. begging, and if they are really in this `position' then, best not to display it at all. Thus as you have not exactly described what posture it is, the above are my immediate comments. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jagannath, Usually, one has to look at the building opposite your hotel also i.e. the element of that particular building when looking at the colours of the main entrance doors. Option 1: 1. Fire element (Red) - Usually the is an auspicious colour for the Chinese: 1.1. It is in harmony with SW (Earth) sector. 1.2. Iti s a colour suitable for " Food Related " and it signifies activity i.e. Marketing and Sales. Option 2: 2. Wood element (Brown or Green) - Natural wood or brown signifies growth for the business. Option 1 is usually the best option when brass is oraments are included in the red door. For the size of the main door, it has to be proportionate to the entir…

1. Thanks for the re-upload of layout plan. 2. For practical purposes in applying a template onto your home layout out plan, please see attachment. The rationale for the centrepoint as shown in the attachment is that the home is nto particularly huge to warrant drawing two separate rectangles and later to use the template for Flying star and eight house purpose. 3. The best way to look at it is to consider the outline of the 2nd storey layout plan to determine the centrepoint of the home. Since this layout plan has less indentations and protrusions. 4. In your sketch, I believe the ground floor and 2nd storey should have the same outline. As in your sketch, the 2nd …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My sons' bedroom falls in the spooky area of the house. How to counter this problem? Should I paint the bedroom with their suitable bright color? Can they still sleep in this room even though it is not their ideal place to sleep? My eldest son's ideal placeshould beour master bedroom while youngest is my husband's ideal study room. Hope to hear from you soon, thanks. You cannot correct a suitablity problem. A suitability sector is for you to assess whether it is good for a person to make use of that room or not. So you can only opt to use or not to use it if it is really bad. Spook and Irritation are not as bad as death or disaster sector. …

Dear Julie, In my opinion, fraction of a street address is usually secondary.. to having a a life of struggle. Usually, other aspects of the home especially the external environment, the site and the home needs to be investigated. Alternatively, the house may not be considered suitable to the individual. I sincerely belief that there are other explanations. You can do the prelimary:- 1. Look out of your main entrance and all windows in the house to look for any poison arrows aimed at the windows / entrance - if any. 2. Use the Eight House theory to see how suitable the house is to you. You can perhaps start from the above first. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ryan, Usually, company logos have been designed based on either i.e. based on a owner's Ba Zi i.e. weak water... etc... Colour is also widely used in Feng Shui. Geomancy-u.com 's logo was designed based on our scope/field of discipline i.e. studies and based on Robert's and mine element and strength. Although website designs are new, in this site, we have used colours for each of our sites (in our personal opinion, reflect best on Feng Shui principles). For example, our Resources site/pages is in green. Where green is like a tree sprouting roots and branches. The forum www.geomancy-forum.com uses the colour blue to represent (again to the best of our opinion) exchan…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Usually, the analysis done by analysis e.g. 7 7 1 and their relationships with each other. Here, a 7 7 relationship may differ with the base number. Such as the `quality' of Double 7's may for example be better with a 7 7 1 than say, 7 7 2 Long gone prosperity are terms given to that specific sector. Other sectors could be `Current Prosperity'. For example under period 7, the current prosperity (term) is located at the centrepoint. As I mentioned earlier, these are merely terms given to specific sectors. It should never be glorified i.e. paid homage to. If one uses it `wrongly' and follow the trend of some.. who believe in sector Feng…

Dear CF Yow, CF Yow wrote: We will be moving to our new condo next month. However upon checking our auspicious dates, the weekend dates in March do not seem favourable. Pls advise a 'practical' way to 'officially move-in' to our new condo on a weekday, without really having to move all our stuff. We intend to move the bulk of our stuff on a weekend. Simply select the better date to officially move-in, and then follow these move-in rituals:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/temp/user/move-in.doc Once you do it, you can move your furniture later. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

1. The good news is that such things as Pi Xie are modern commercial products. 2. The only purpose is to enrich the seller. Often, it is the same Feng Shui master that sells these products in the name of Feng Shui. 3. You can find out more of such commercial products under this URL:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Commercial_Products 4. In fact, the only real Feng Shui product has to be this special ring! http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=23346&new= 5. These are purely modern commercial products and should be treated equally as what one does with interior decorative items. What happens when we broke a piece of an interior de…

Dear Master Cecil I would like to check with you on the following: (1) It's auspicious to have double 8 at the frontage of a house, how about double 8 with base 1 at the back of the house in the living room's West sector(pls refer to flying star.jpg)? (2) What can be done to activate the double eight's potential at the back of the living room? Is installing a water fountain with spining crystal ball ideal? (3) How about mountain star 1 & mountain star 6 with base 8 at the center of the living room, how do I activate its potential? (4) Howto neutralize the negative elements in room 1 & room2? 1. Priority is based on "Rule of thumb". Often, once we have viewed a room or bedroom; we have a feel of how we would like to place the bed(s). 2. The report should be considered as "NICE-to-HAVE" and not a "MUST-have". 3. Thus: Go for Para 1, first.

Dear Anon, In my opinon, as a Feng Shui practitioner and for many users, we normally categorise people who give such as advise as: similar to "the idea that you stay here, we don't" and "you own it we don't. Frankly, in my opinion, I personally find such sayings highly irresponsible. This is because, there are so wide interpretations of numerology - to some, it may seem bad numbers to others it may seem good. Often I encountered practitioners even advising their clients e.g. to close-up the entire master-bedroom toilet! Imagine, some one who just comes to the home for a few hours, provide such an advise, he/she will move on, but we are stuck with such an advise! If I…

Dear Sophia, 1. 6 (SIX) represents "big metal" and this is why, it is commonly used as a "cure" to neutralise e.g. #2 (sickness) or #3 or #4 (bad wood - career, lawsuits, scandals, education, romance type of issues) 2. Since we are now under the influence of Period 8, there is now a surge of anything to do with the number 8. Previously, the phonetic sound of "8" is particulary very auspicious especially for the Cantonese dialect group. 3. But now, many would like to hear that 8 is a good or SUPPOSE to be a very auspicious number under Period 8. 4. However, if we stick purely to the academic line of the Flying Star School of Feng Shui:- 6 = metal element 8 = earth el…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: What cures can you suggest if the home that I would like to purchase and to bebuilt this year havebad room locations? Should I just look for another home plan?I am a North person, main door is facing North. The land and surrounding area is good. The builder's layout plan is as follows: What you need to understand that is that, there is no way you can fix a suitability issue. If a house does not fit you, then always best to look for another more suitable house. There is no way to correct this. You can attempt to improve other feng shui flaw to offset this. However, if a house does not fit you, it means you cannot get the maximum amount of luck…

Dear Anon, Yes, usually, the garage should not be included. 1. A main door can still be at the middle of the rectangular. If so, check for external threats. And internally, it should best not be too close to the centrepoint of the house. 2. And, where possible, qi should not leak directly out of e.g. the back window (if any). 3. I personally wish, if users to post such questions, it is best to attach a sketch. 4. My current reply is based on my personal perception of your question; whether it has been interpreted rightly or wrongly; I cannot say for sure:( Warmest Regards, Cecil

Usually, the Flying Star number(s) of a sector is analysed. However, if this is not done; then try to go for neutral colours like beige (cream),grey orbrown or mostly pastel colours. For bright colours like RED, BRIGHT YELLOW or GREEN; if not sure try to stay clear of these - if possible.

Dear Yang Ming, 1. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-ruler.htm 2. In the above url, one can find a sample Feng Shui ruler. 3. In the above illustration, one can see the top line (just above the inches). This TOP line is meant for Yang Feng Shui. Or Feng Shui for the living. 4. The lower or BOTTOM line (below the inches) relates to Yin Feng Shui measurement or Feng Shui for the dead. 5. Therefore, you could look at the TOP row. 1 Feng Shui foot is equal to an imperial foot of approximately 17 inches. 6. In Hong Kong, one may find 3 or more versions of the Imperial Carpenter's Feng Shui ruler. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nhan, Please see below:- For those who are not aware, the sum-of-ten is for example: mountain star #5 and base star #5. Here, these two add up to a sum-of-ten. Hi Bharat Mayani, Generally, your problem here is regarding door facing each other. Well, generally for such situation most of the only cures you can use is really to put a bagua on the door. However, personally what exactly are problems you have with your current situation? Is it that you often have conflicts with your neighbour? It looks to me like the neighbour is basically not around most of the time. So what other problems are you actually facing? If there is nothing, then basically nothing much to worry about. There is a saying that goes if nothing is broken do not try to fix it. If you facing problems with areas such as financial or sickness then, you should look …
