  1. These are some considerations on Block 403:- 1. The Block's facing stretches from NW facing to NE facing. And there are even some units that face "Easterly". 2. I assume that the block of flats was built or TOP under Period 7: 1984 to 2003. 3. Period 7, NW facing directions NW1, NW2/3generally today (2004 to 2023) as having small luck as the water wealth under the Period 7 is trapped in the centre. 4. Better units are those facing NE but these units face 406 thus blocked view. 5. Lower floor units of block 403 especially the ones facing the T junction i.e. the road leading from Gardens at Bishan / Bishan condo park etc.. should pay more attention even though it is…

    1. Generally, the entire plot of land and building is rectangular under Shapes and forms is acceptable. 2. There is a high concentration of Catholic (buildings); Generally such buildings are considered "clean" compared to some temples etc... 3. Currently, the best facing directions within this development is NE or SW facing. There are also NW or SE facing which is not as good. 4. Majority of all developments have good and not so good units. Thus, one can apply Flying Star to futher fine tune the interior of the unit.

Dear April, 1. The most important consideration is the stove. a. Where possible, the stove should not be under a beam. b. Check that there is (where possible) no water pipe that criss-cross or run along the stove. c. Position the stove with a `support' e.g. a wall. Never place the stove `supported' by a window. d. Where possible let the stove face into the house i.e. facing inside the house (in relation to the main entrance). e. As for the dishwasher, since it is a `water position', it is acceptable to be placed closed to the sink or below the sink. As both are of the water element. There should not be an issue even if it is used. In modern Feng Shui, the main criteria …

  5. 1. In my opinion, there are other considerations. 2. For example, in this Sample Male person's chart, under "Your Ten Deities & Key Characteristics" Authority (zheng guan) = 4 3. Here, one considerationis that one can compare each partner's Authority (zheng guan). 4. For example, if his partner (wife's) Authority is higherthan his; then in Singapore context we can say that his wife will dominate him: 5. And in such a situation, his wife can be considered as " The Minister of Finance and Defence at home".Andthe man? His position in the home is akin to a "Minister without portfolio". 6. There are lots more that ba zi can derive information between the t…

Dear Mark, If you are a Strong Metal, then any additional metal would not be beneficial to you. This is because in Feng Shui what is most important is the Balance of Element. Strong Element is good as it means that you are able to take control of your wealth, life etc. However, when you are Strong you need some controlling elements to control or neutralize the excessive Metal in you. Under the Five Element Cures, the Elements that can control Metal are Fire and Wood. Fire directly destroy Metal, or Wood can destroy Earth which helps grow your Metal. In terms of the overall house, a Metal house is suitable to your Element. The more important aspect of the house which affe…

  8. Dear Anon, While Fu Lu Shou figurines are not traditionally part of Feng Shui practices, they are often recommended due to their widespread popularity. 1. Frequently, it is positioned on one side of the display cabinet, overlooking the living room. 2. Avoid placing it facing a toilet. 3. Ensure it is not on the same wall as the toilet. 4. Keep it out of the bedroom. 5. Do not place it in the kitchen. 6. The rationale behind this is that since these are deities, 'respect' should be shown to 'each' of them. 7. It can be situated in the living room, for example, overlooking a window or the sofa/seat. 8. If there is an altar, it should be placed separa…

Thanks Cecil. We are willing to take the risk of "experimenting". We will go with the less auspicious NW3 chart. I think this is less auspicious based on my comparison on the two charts. Cecil, could you take a look at both charts and confirm that this NW3 chart is indeed the less auspicious one? TQ. By looking at my attached layout sent earlier and the FS chart (NW3), could you advice on what is wrong with the placement of things in the unit that cause us misery? Specific questions on the FS chart: Main entrance: NW sector, my Spook sector, base star 8, mountain star 7 and water star 9 (two auspicious stars). There is a closed wardrobe here (please refer to my attached l…

Point 4 is based on an opinion. The rationale is that normally, when a person studies, his work space should not be `cluttered' with display items especially those of " Dieties ". I can understand if a small picture frame or some other decorative displays are placed on the table. Otherwise, a study table should be `clear of such things'. Nor…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. For a new development - yet to be completed.. have a mental picture of where the aftersun rays fall. 2. Even in a afternoon sun facing unit: visualise whether the sun rays are going to fall on the unit between 12pm ... usually if partially blocked by another near-by unit: afternoon sun is most likely between 12pm towards 2 to 3pm. If fully unblocked; afternoon sun can bathe that part of the home (wall or windows) from 12pm to 5pm - this is pretty hot. 3. What material is facing the afternoon sun? If the walls are thin prefabricated walls or just one layer of brick walls bathed by the afternoon sun, even at 7 to 8 pm; heat can …

  13. Started by myfs_76722,

Dear Anon, 1. In Traditional Feng Shui, especially, if one uses Compass School Feng Shui, the `wealth corner' is subjective. 2. The rationale here is that there is not only one wealth sector but to achieve: maximum wealth or Luck potential; one has to balance all sectors and accord equal emphasis of attention on all sectors. 3. There is really no harm in placing a tin container that you cherish at any location of the home where you feel comfortable with. 4. In addition, this concept applies here " If one cannot see it; it no longer is effective". 5. Thus, coins kept in a tin would remain as a `tin box'. Usually, in Feng Shui, an item has to be visible for it `to work'. 6…

Thanks for your advice Glynn I will move my fish today. The stars in the West are: 7 2 2 It is difficult to judge if they have had any detrimental effect. I have certainly been experiencing allot of bad luck recently, however the flying star reading has throw up various negative points. I am trying to make adjustments to hopefully improve things. FS is very complex however and it is so easy to make mistakes and make things worse. Thanks Glynn for your help.

Hi all! I'm looking for a Resale flat now and was attracted to the Waterway Terraces for it's unique look and convenience. As part of my research, I chanced upon your review of the "less bad" units in Terrace 2, was wondering if there was something similar for Waterway Terrace 1? Also, is the Feng Shui so bad to a point where it's really a no go? Or can we potentially fix it after? Cheers, J

  16. Dear Simon, The following are points to consider on the display of ornamental Japanese swords:- 1. Like any other swords, it should not face the main entrance door. 2. It should be displayed with the protective sword casing even if the sword is blunt. 3. Ideally, it should be displayed in a display cabinet. 4. The best location to display the ornamental sword is in a `separate' room. For example, in a private office, a `person' room . 5. Avoid displaying it in the living room, dining room, family room. As mentioned above, it should be in a " private " room. If it is displayed under para 5 above, there may be a possibility of relationship problems. Finally, in my opinion…

    1. Most likely, you may have to do like most people do, i.e. go with your personal feelings. 2. If you want to apply proper Feng Shui to evaluate your home, then the advice for a newbie is: Rome is not built in a day, and if you want to DIY Feng Shui, then like any other subject, one must invest in time and knowledge. Alternatively, if one is impatient and need immediate answers may consider hiring a practitioner, instead.

    1. In my opinion, it boils down to those who are ultra conservative vs "Is there an issue, here?" sort of thing. 2. Frankly, how often have one recall a boss or fellow worker changing work directions annually. 3. In essence, these are often the same kind of Geomancers, that may even tell us: don't ever use that toilet. 4.The irony is that many such Geomancers, would most likely sit and work in the same direction, year after year! Yet, have the cheek to tell others to do something, they themselves don't apply! 5. You stay there, we don't! 6. What is not mentioned not often over-looked is the fact that if one does major renovations and or going for a major cause e.g. goin…

  19. Dear Chee Kin, 1. Under the Eight House theory, there is not much one can do. This theory is meant more for the time where one is chosing a house. And when doing so, it is used to look at how sutiable the house is and also help us see if the various rooms are suitable. 2. Usually, if one has constant problems such as frequent health problems; perhaps, you may like to look at the use of another theory: The Flying Star theory. While the Eight House Theory looks at individuals or a person's best houses/direction. The Flying Star looks at the birth chart of the house to see if the sectors are balanced. It is good for:- a. If one has constant health related problems; it most l…

Dear Anon, Frankly, a layout would be easier for us to help you on such advise. Uncluttering is always good, but for advising where is best placement, a layout plan would speak a thousand word. Though, many factors will still need to be considered ie the best direction etc, however, the shapes and form placement is often quite important. So generally, there is usually one or two way to place a bed in most modern layout. Whether there are at least two different position, then you based on which direction will be most suitable for you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
