General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

Dear Jo, In my opinion, it is best not to apply `sector/corner' "Feng Shui". This type of "Feng Shui" is a modern invention and no basis in the (wide scope) of Traditional Feng Shui. No Traditional Feng Shui practitioner would practise such things (with the exception of Feng Shui authors.) It is so easy to write books based on this. Furthermore, it is too general i.e. to be applicable to everyone in the world. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janice, The 6 coin cure is related to the assessment done under the Flying Star Feng Shui. Here, 6 coins represent `Big metal' or strong metal element. It is used to `destroy' or `neutralise' bad numbers under the Flying Star numerology. As this cure involves the Five elements concept, you may have to first read up or understand the Five elements concept first. Before, progressing to understand how the Flying Star Feng Shui can help you. My advise is to take your time to understand the various concepts in particular:- 1. What is the purpose of each concept. 2. What are it's strengths and weakness. 3. How to apply them effectively. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. I assume that you are referring to a landed property. 2. For landed property, imagine where is the road driving into your property and where is your main gate. 3. Usually is your main gate and main entrance door the same facing direction i.e. when you open your main entrance door is this the same direction as the main gate? And in addition, your living room and frontage of home is at this location. 3.1 If YES, then stand inside the house looking outwards and take a compass reading. This is your facing direction. 3.2 If NO, determine where is the frontage of your home. And take a reading from inside the home e.g. porch or patio looking outwards. 4. Obtain a layout …

  4. Dear Ruby, Based on Chinese Astrology, the following is a brief information:- 22 Jan 1947 to 9 Feb 1948 Fire-Pig: 1887, 1947 With the fire element, this pig is more ambitious, energetic, domineering and courages. Is generous, tolerant but is more self-centred. Is more willing to take up new challenges and can be successful but if failure sets in will be a broken wreck. This pig has fixed ideas and more obstinate and will not easily give in to other's opinion. 10 Feb 1948 to 28 Jan 1949 Earth-Rat: 1888, 1948 Is pramatic, honest and family oriented. Dear Anon, Yes, usually, the garage should not be included. 1. A main door can still be at the middle of the rectangular. If so, check for external threats. And internally, it should best not be too close to the centrepoint of the house. 2. And, where possible, qi should not leak directly out of e.g. the back window (if any). 3. I personally wish, if users to post such questions, it is best to attach a sketch. 4. My current reply is based on my personal perception of your question; whether it has been interpreted rightly or wrongly; I cannot say for sure:( Warmest Regards, Cecil

place water to cure 7 and 4 combination, avoid red colours at northwest, and red colour should be used where all three stars are benevolet in the sector.

  7. Started by myfs_112704,

Dear Anon, For really bad stars #5 combined or inflammed by #9; it is good to control this with "moving-metal". "Moving-metal" is particulary useful since you mentioned that in addition to these two bad stars, there is a further #3 = lawsuits, quarrels star. If the bedroom is not a bedroom, then one may consider using a six-hollow-rod windchime at that specific sector. Or a chiming clock around the wall of that sector. A clock that makes mechanical movement is also acceptable. Other traditional Feng Shui cures include:- a. the placement of a hulu or bottle gourd e.g. placed at the bed side table. b. for severe cases: get a jam jar (sized bottle). place 6 copper co…

    1. In my opinion, it is very common especially for new couples to "conserve" their money and try not to overspent or worse, become so indebted even before carrying on a "new life". In fact, quite alot of couples I know previously, have kept some of the "unmoveable" fixtures such as what you had mentioned especially built in wardrope. 2. As mentioned above, money does not fall out of the sky! And often without money or savings or if we do have monetary problems between couples.. it is one of the leading cause of "separation" etc.. 3. Especially for the entire home, one of the best key successfactors is to definitely re-paint the entire home. 4. Prior to taking over the…

  11. Yeah, from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, what you roughly mentioned; seems not auspicious. The best "test" is to check the history... who had previously rented the same "spot"? If possible, do more checking and/or speak to some of the neighours (tenants) of the building... to get some more information. Sometimes, it is amazing what we find.. e.g. the unit perhaps has higher turnover than say other units next to or nearby or within the building.... Good Luck in your venture!

  12. Dear master, My Bazi chart is as follow below. Various people tell me various things regarding the WU Day master and I am confused. Is it weak or not? Here the free reports says it is. Yet I am not sure, because first I don't know enough, and also I have been told various conflicting things. For ex. that there is so much WU rooted in the chart that it can't be weak. Or that the Wood in the Month pillar is not weakening the WU, because it is Dead Wood and should not be a concern, and that actually the Metal in that case is useful to chop the dead Wood and turn in into a Fire to warm up the Earth (and train the Metal). Is it so, that Metal is useful to my WU Day ma…

Dear Lakmun, 1. For a preliminary analysis, you can generate a free Eight House report at www.geomancy-online.com 2. The other alternative is to look up and get the services of a Feng Shui practitioner, to conduct a `worry' free audit. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please refer to my previous posting on the same subject of lion dance. In the past, the traditional lion dance was performed on the last day of lunar celebrations i.e. 15 Lunar day i.e. since CNY officially starts on 8 February 2005 this year; then 22 February 2005 is suppose to be the last day and lion dance performance. However, in modern times, and for practical purposes in my opinion, it is particularly good or meaningful to usher in the lunar new year especially on or before the 15th day of celebrations. This is to allow for the troupe to be able to perform at your home. If one lives in a landed property, the challenge is to hang a lettuce vegetable wi…

Dear Trish, Frankly, without a sketch, it is quite difficult to figure out your exact room layout plan. Firstly, what are you trying to achieve. From your second last paragraph, you mentioned that pointing west is good for you. However, does it look not only feasible but "comfortable" for you. In other positions are you trying to avoid aiming your foot towards the bathroom door? Generally, if there are no other better placements, this is quite acceptable. Most of the time, to be honest there are limited configurations for placing the bed /bed-head. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Trish Perry wrote: My question has to do with bed positioning. Dear C VU, 1. Yes, in terms of enhancements, we often look at e.g. #mountain and #water stars 2. For example if the frontage or facing position has #7 mountain with #7 water; then since there are metal elements, "water" can be added. 3. But it is equally wrong if we ignore the base #. In addition, we also need to look at the 81 combinations of #mountain and #water stars. 4. As a recap:- 4.1 look at #mountain and #water in relation to the specific location. For example, if the back of the house or mountain side has #7 with #7, then, we must study closely whether we can activate it properly (or not). 4.2 We also need to look at #mountain vs #water vs #base number or the pal…

However, just want to check if it's possible to substitute this with just using 6 singapore one dollar coins? Also will changing my bed sheets to blue help as well? Thanks

Frankly, such a house that falls in the exact degree between two directions are often not auspicious because, it is like neither here or neither there. Usually, the Flying Star number(s) of a sector is analysed. However, if this is not done; then try to go for neutral colours like beige (cream),grey orbrown or mostly pastel colours. For bright colours like RED, BRIGHT YELLOW or GREEN; if not sure try to stay clear of these - if possible.

Dear Carlos, 1. Earth colour is `yellow'. 2. It should not be mistaken for `gold' colour as this represents the Metal element (gold or white). 3. For wood, the closest colour is `pine wood'. Many would know it especially if you have an IKEA store around you. 4. Please take note that earth element is the strongest all round the season. And for any enhancements using `earth', one should be more cautious. 5. This common childhood phase can be applied to earth: " Yellow, yellow, dirty fellow ". 6. Because of bad earth elements such as #2 sickness and #5 misfortune; especially #5 is also known as "Deadly Yellow". 7. Another characteristics of earth element is that `square' or…
