Dear Anon, If we compare this plant's thorn's they are considered as "pussy-cat" thorns that are real soft and nothing quite like those of the cactus or rose etc... In terms of Feng Shui for a landed property; plants with thorns are actually quite common place especially at external wall windows or at corners of home to deter thieves from climbing into the home. Dear Anon, The most important thing is for the 6 rods to be all Metal, especially brass. The rest of the support is fine to be non Metal. The point is because 6 rods is Strong Metal.
