This is a recent reply to the same type of question that you had just posted:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=4&mid=23630&new= 1. We have to differentiate between Yin Feng Shui and Yang Feng Shui. 2. Yin Feng Shui can be known as Feng Shui for the dead. Yang Feng Shui is Feng Shui for the living. 3. The Eight House can be applied to both Yin and Yang Feng Shui. 4. Usually in a Yin Feng Shui environment, the person is dead, immovable object. Thus, it would be good to have the person within the good sector to "defend" against external factors. Thus, it is good to have the person absorb good qi as what you have mentioned. 5. Under…

Hi Master i went to get my reading with a geomancer & she advised that my fire element is weak. she said this will make it difficult for me to have children hence I need to increase my fire by buying a horse figurine (I did not buy, it’s $1888). I did the free ba zi reading on your website and it stated that fire is unfavorable element for me. Furthermore, house of life and house of conception is empty. Can you share what this means ? Should I try to enhance fire element or not? my birthday 04/02/1988 11.45 am. thank you

  6. Dear Karen, One best test to see if a mirror is located in a good or bad location is by sitting on the bed. If you can see your profile in the mirror either lying down or simply setting on the bed, this is considered no good under Feng Shui. The rationale is because, it was felt that when we sleep, our souls leave our body and when it sees itself in a mirror, it will get a `shock'. This view is widely held although some authors may interpret this differently but still hold on to this concept. In my website, I mentioned that, if you do not have a problem and can sleep peacefully with a mirror facing you, then, go ahead but if you have restless sleeps, perhaps, you may want…

  7. Started by lesliecli,

Dear Leslie, On the topic of the bathroom, here are some guidelines:- 1. It is advisable not to have the toilet bowl exactly at the true compass directions:- a. In general, avoid having the toilet bowl at true cardinal points e.g. 0 degrees North, 45 degrees North-East, 90 degrees East i.e. every 45 degree increments. The rationale is that under the Eight House Theory, there are 8 sectors with four good and four bad sectors, having the toilet bowl directly at one of these locations could result in it `landing' on one of the auspicious directions. b. In a more specific analysis using the Flying Star Theory, it is best to avoid having the toilet bowl fall exactly at 0 degre…

  9. Started by myfs_151145,

No offence, please. If qi can be clearly defined as splitting between an invisible line along a bed; this means also that "pigs can fly". Fortunately, you are (partially) correct to look at the worst and think of the bad numbers. However, as I had previously mentioned; if one were to apply Flying Star Feng Shui it is like an engineer or a technician using smoke to look at how an object behaves in a wind tunnel environment. (Again not exactly the same but...) One has to see where are the openings especially of importance are such things as the window(s) and even the room door. For example, the split personality bed and 5 1 2 lies close to the corner furthest away from the…

Dear Bek, If the beams are made of wood, the next best alternative is to use `metal' element to `destroy' or `neutralise' the wooden beam. The best in such for a situation is to:- 1. use 6 coins tied together and hang on each beam. Alternatively, you can use silver foil e.g. as those used for cooking. In such a situation, use circular pieces x 6 pieces or cut them into stars x 6 pieces and place it on the beam. 2. the next best method is to hang two bamboo flutes on the beam. If this is not practical, then go for alternative 1. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  11. Started by ingrid,

Dear Ingrid, In my opinion, it is difficult to apply Feng Shui to small spaces. The rationale is because Feng Shui of the home is also about `earth luck'. And a small room does not constitute a large portion of `earth luck'. The focus in your situation is that so long as you try to keep your room under: 1. Favourable shapes and form Feng Shui e.g. positioning of your bed. 2. Whether your personal space should be more Yin or more Yang or at times more Yin or more Yang. For example, for those who are working and come home to rest, the room should preferably be more yin (state of rest) than yang. While for a student, it should be more yang... to encourage the person to st…

Dear Anon, Basically, in terms of bed placement. You should follow these priority:- 1. It is most important that the bedroom is located at the one of the 4 good directions based on the Eight House concept. Meaning that if you divide the house from the centerpoint, your bedroom should be located West (in your case). As long as the bedroom is in a good sector, the issue of the bed position becomes less of an issue, as regardless of where you actually sleep, you are still sleeping in a suitable sector of the house. 2. As rooms are small now-a-days, so it is frankly, very difficult for most people to have the luxuary to arrange furnitures so that it can fit the best placem…

Dear Chris, If the doors are used frequently, there are really nothing much you can do. This is because if two doors are facing each other, it signifies that each occupants of either room will not be in good terms with each other. Early this year, one user wrote in to say that his main entrance door faces directly his neighbours and something like one metre between them. He mentioned that they are frequently at logger heads. The only alternative is to see if the doors can be located separately (where possible) if not, you may try to close the door but it may not be effective thou. 14. Generally, it is not very good to have the bedroom door open out directly into the front door. So few things you can do is keep your door close or to have some kind of partition which blocks the chi from going from the main door directly into the bedroom, it should be allowed to circulate the living room etc before it goes out of the house. As for your best sleeping direction, you can make use of the Bed and Bedroom position free report found in the My FengShui (http://login.geomancy.net) and see where is the best placement for your bed / bedroom position. Sometimes you may have not much chooce for the placement as your bedroom is limited in size, so if you cannot adjust …

  15. Dear Emy, Usually, there could be more with regards to bad Feng Shui of the house. It is best to confirm if there are any more `leaks' e.g. try standing at the main door and each window and look out. Check for any other threats e.g. angle or poison arrow(s) aimed at your home. Also, any Shapes and Forms problems with regards to the site, land and home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

If I will keep my original layout andjust swap the place of TV and Cabinet, is it okay also toexchange thecomputer/printer with the new location of TV? 2. Also, I just noticed last night that 1/8 part of mybed is overlapping with the window, is this would be a problem or is it okay to retain the location of the bed. I am currently living in Riyadh with my husband and daughter. Here in Riyadh nobody opens their window due to too much dust orthey call it sandstorm. We usually even put heavy duty tape to cover the whole window to avoid single dust ente…

Dear Ana, 1. Welcome to the understanding of Feng Shui! 2. This is because, in my opinion, Feng Shui is all about understanding rather than "what we see is what we get". 3. About Doctors and would be doctors 4. Several years back, I remembered, distinctively a doctor who started learning or rather practising Feng Shui. 5. Here, although doctors are smart, but, sometimes, every human being(s) are gullible or simple feel that what they read are "real" and can be directly applied. 6. Perhaps, we all canquite understand that doctors or would be doctors have always picked up a book e.g. an anatomy book, and if the book says the heart has 2 values, 3 major veins etc.. Th…

Frankly, if one has to apply proper authentic Feng Shui:- 1. Additional information like the "year of birth" of a home ; not just my house is 28 degrees.... 2. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui has to be considered; the exterior and the interior layout in relation to the feasiblity of placing a water position. 3. At best, no worries, here.. you could still practise "Trial and Error"; see where you like it then place it, there.
