General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Dear Tian Wan, Generally, when you refer to good oa bad direction for a house it depends on several things. 1. If you refer to a good and bad house based on a Flying Star for example. Then yes, a house can be good and bad depending on the location. However, this by itself does not mean that a bad house is bad for everyone. 2. It also depends very much on the suitability of the house to the owner. I this means that a house which is suitable to the owner can overrule some of the bad influence the house has, as it is generally favourable to a person. So it depends on how you look at it. Generallly, however, most problems can be solved especially for influences based on F…

Dear Carlos, 1. Earth colour is `yellow'. 2. It should not be mistaken for `gold' colour as this represents the Metal element (gold or white). 3. For wood, the closest colour is `pine wood'. Many would know it especially if you have an IKEA store around you. 4. Please take note that earth element is the strongest all round the season. And for any enhancements using `earth', one should be more cautious. 5. This common childhood phase can be applied to earth: " Yellow, yellow, dirty fellow ". 6. Because of bad earth elements such as #2 sickness and #5 misfortune; especially #5 is also known as "Deadly Yellow". 7. Another characteristics of earth element is that `square' or…

    1. Your authentic bazi info is based on your day pillar heaven stem. 2. Often for other calculations, for convenience some geomancers simply use the year "pillar", and thus say that it is your bazi element. 3. This is not exactly wrong, just that it is soley inadequate. 4. Under authentic bazi, traditionally it is made up of Year, month, day, hour plus house of life and house of conception. 5. To find out your exact bazi element, you may consider using our free reports to generate it.

  4. Yeah, from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, what you roughly mentioned; seems not auspicious. The best "test" is to check the history... who had previously rented the same "spot"? If possible, do more checking and/or speak to some of the neighours (tenants) of the building... to get some more information. Sometimes, it is amazing what we find.. e.g. the unit perhaps has higher turnover than say other units next to or nearby or within the building.... Good Luck in your venture!

Dear Kem, You should make use of the three main theories: 1. Shapes and Form to look at the house and its surrounding. 2. Eight House to see how suitable, the house is to the bread winner. Plus take special attention to see the intangible force influencing the house. 3. You can check out www.geomancy-online.com as there is a Good House module. This was developed by us and so far, I have purchased three houses based on this module myself. Plus, I have generated it for every of my clients. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vivek, Usually, it would be nice to take note that usually, when we type a note, it is good to use lower case. This is because, typing all the words in upper case, in the net is like " shouting ". I know it is not intentional but, it would be nice to remember the above:) I believe, you would have the Applied Feng Shui book, in one of the earlier chapters, it shows the relationship of family members in relation to the direction i.e. dining table. Consisting of a family unit of: Father, Mother, 1st, 2nd and 3rd sons/daughters. The above direction of seating is more commonly applied than what you had mentioned i.e. using the Eight House in relation to each individual. …

  7. Dear Anon, 1. Currently, there are many factors that can attribute to the situation you face. 2. At the preliminary (without using proper Feng Shui tools for analysis), the two trees do not seem (in my opinion to be large ones) as you had mentioned that it is lower than your window. 3. More investigative work can be done. But generally, too many trees e.g. the two trees even though they may not be that large may in certain circumstances create a too yin situation. And based on time dimensions in Feng Shui, at certain timing, the location may become too yin and thus create such an imbalance. 4. Try, for the moment, not to take too drastic a step such as chopping the tree d…

Dear Everyone, Before, I answer the question on mirrors, there is an important concept of mirror: " Mirror, mirror on the wall ". Please see illustration in the attached file. (Only available under web-login to the forum. Attachment not included for those participating or listening in from an e-mail mailing list). History: 1. The Cantonese dialect group is particularly fond of placing mirror(s) in the living room. The idea is that food on the dining table can be multiplied. 2. The above, is particularly favourable to Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners. Especially since the majority of Hong Kongers are Cantonese themselves! 3. Dear David, David Sim wrote: Hi My master bedroom lies in my disaster line. Two toilets sit between my master bedroom and the centre point. Do the toilets negate the bad influence of the disaster line? Generally, your individual eight house (4 good or 4 bad) directions mainly helps to determine whether a house or bedroom sector or facing direction is favourable for you or not. So it helps you determine whether a sector is good for you to use or not. So if the bedroom falls in your disaster sector it means that that room isn't the most suitable room for you to make use. The most suitable house would be one that most of the good sectors of the room would fall in the suit…

Dear C VU, 1. Yes, in terms of enhancements, we often look at e.g. #mountain and #water stars 2. For example if the frontage or facing position has #7 mountain with #7 water; then since there are metal elements, "water" can be added. 3. But it is equally wrong if we ignore the base #. In addition, we also need to look at the 81 combinations of #mountain and #water stars. 4. As a recap:- 4.1 look at #mountain and #water in relation to the specific location. For example, if the back of the house or mountain side has #7 with #7, then, we must study closely whether we can activate it properly (or not). 4.2 We also need to look at #mountain vs #water vs #base number or the pal…

Frankly, such a house that falls in the exact degree between two directions are often not auspicious because, it is like neither here or neither there. 16. Dear master, My Bazi chart is as follow below. Various people tell me various things regarding the WU Day master and I am confused. Is it weak or not? Here the free reports says it is. Yet I am not sure, because first I don't know enough, and also I have been told various conflicting things. For ex. that there is so much WU rooted in the chart that it can't be weak. Or that the Wood in the Month pillar is not weakening the WU, because it is Dead Wood and should not be a concern, and that actually the Metal in that case is useful to chop the dead Wood and turn in into a Fire to warm up the Earth (and train the Metal). Is it so, that Metal is useful to my WU Day ma…

  17. Dear Karen, This has more to with commonsense than feng shui. For example, here one would certainly wish that they stay in a concrete reinforce-cement home. This is because when the washing machine spins it does shake. If one house is made of wooden planks or thin gypsum wooden walls, then sometimes the washing machine may vibrate and this vibration can be felt at the opposite wall plus the noise can be heard. So the only solution is try to place the washing machine too close to the wall. Not much else you can do unless there is space elsewhere that you can relocate your washing machine. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Greg, Certainly glad to hear from you again. 1. My advise is to `stick' to three most popular Feng Shui methods: 1.1 Shapes and Form If there is one theory which should be given priority, this is it. In my opinon, if one wants to do minimal Feng Shui and yet yield a quantum leap in `luck' this is the most important single Feng Shui theory to use. 1.2 Flying Star If we are talking about a Feng Shui practitioner and their audits, some FS practitioners with a feel for the `land' can do without this theory. But for those, who do not have a `feel' of Shapes and Form can use this to analyse a building or houses. As the calculations are "visible" to them. 1.3 Eight House …

Dear Cheui May, Every period can have a Double e.g. 1s; 2s; 3s; 4s; 5s and the rest of the periods. This depends on one of the compass directions in 15 degree increments. These periods are considered good if they fall under the same period e.g. double 5s are considered good in Period 5. Perhaps, it is because you have not encountered a compass direction that has the right combinations of double 5s. Warmest Regards, Cecil On 11/26/00 11:35:00 PM, Cheui May Heui /wrote:

Don`t think too much about all those stars! They are not too dangerous as we used to think. The worst of them is 5 so it is the only star we should think of. It is in NW of each house this year and we know what to do with this. What about your plants... You can place them anywhere you like but in the bedroom.Justtake a good care of your plants. If they are good looking and healthy it is good Fengh Shui. A bedroom is the only place where it doesn't have to be any plants.
