  1. Started by jyonghy@yahoo.com,

Dear Jo Yong, In my opinion, one should take into consideration the `private' door into each apartments i.e. door (B) for Feng Shui analysis. If you have a sketch of the outline of the houses and its relation to the door (A) and (B), it would help to confirm the above. Regards, Cecil

  2. Started by GoldenDragon,

Dear Chloe, In my opinion, so far, to me, burying of three crystals a foot apart is something new. Some `authentic' Feng Shui practitioners had instead request to bury: the `Eight Treasures' of the buddha. Frankly, there is relatively no harm in burying crystals or coins with square holes in them. I believe, you have a garden. If so, a better alternative is to create a profile e.g. landscaping at the garden. Such that from a `helicopter view' one can see the profile or outline `neutralising' the missing corner. And at the corner of the missing corner, one can also consider installing a lamp. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  3. 1. Frankly, there are so many unknowns; on such a simple question. 2. For example; in order for wealth leak; it starts from even simple things as : Location, location and location. 3. Even if the toilet at the center-point is considered a leak; often in order to have things like wealth leak(s); usually a home would most likely have at least THREE major leaks. 4. We all know that if we live in an apartment, there is no (like the British say "no bloody" way) thatwe move the toilet/ it's plumbing etc... 5. Thus for practical reasons, try to find other "wealth leaks" especially major ones and fix them. Then one will have a higher success rate. 6. But a real pity is that…

Dear Yang Ming, 1. Usually, in a small island like Singapore, you're surrounded by the sea on every side. 2. Depending on where you are, the way the sun heats the land (which gets hotter) compared to the sea, along with changes in high and low pressure, can cause air to move from the land to the sea and the other way around. 3. As a result, air can come in from either side of the house. 4. However, if a bunch of windows or the main door is shut, air can't flow in from one side of the window to the other. 5. If air is only coming in from one part of the house, especially in a new build, it might mean that air is being pulled in from the building's …

Dear Kuah Huang, You can check out this url:- http://my.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/imagefolio.cgi?direct=Feng_Shui_Cures/6_coins In Feng Shui cures, the best remedy is to use 6 ancient Chinese coins with square holes in the center. The 6 coins are tied with a red string. It is usually hung on top of the wall or on the curtain as shown in the picture. For the picture, Singapore $1 coins can be used and placed side-by-side in a 3x2 row on a red packet. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Danielle, In my opinion, the method that you are currently using is often known as the "trip and fall" method. Touch wood! But, imagine, a one-time visitor or a new visitonr in your home - - visiting in the evening. Suddenly, there is a momentary power-outage. Because of the 'odd' or unusual placement of the furniture, the guest may perhaps, trip and fall! Again, this is like the stories we hear in the US, where someone blames the government for placing the lamp post at the wrong place - which resulted in a car "kissing-it". Best directions or facing best directions are considered as "nice-to-have". If can face a good direction - very good. If not, what the "he…

Dear Juliet, 1. First of all, welcome to the forum. 2. Most of us sincerely believe, and I personally do, that all one can ask is an honest living. 3. In my opinion, door to door sales is quite tough. But again, selling cutlery is truely an honest living and should be seen in that context. 4. There is really no issue nor inauspicous with regards to this. So far, the only auspicious beliefs are in relation to gifts:- It is a no no to give a loved one either shoes or a clock. 5. In Feng Shui, the only other issue is more of a common sense, in to living any sharp knifes around. This is especially not safe for younger children. Wishing you all the best in whatever you do:) …

  9. Dear Jude, The key word is: Location, location, location. What is most important are both the external and interior Feng Shui of a home. This involves: Shapes and Forms and Compass School of Feng Shui. The Compass School of Feng Shui is based on both the : Kua (Gua) and Flying Star Feng Shui. Currently, what you are looking at is just the Kua (Gua) of a person. And the directions you mentioned are considered very "simplisitc" as it does not take into account Flying Star Feng Shui. Where under Flying Star Feng Shui, directions are equally important not just the Kua (Gua) of a person. What you are doing therefore only takes into account directions based on persons wi…

Dear Wasis, For flights, it would depend on the direction of travel and transit through countries. As the flight usually lasts not more than 15 hours, nowadays, in modern times, less concerned of many people of the travel from and to a particular destination with the advent for `heavy' globalisation and travel. Which is frequent. Please see below:- Usually, if the house has brought in `luck' the advise is not to `change' it including the frontage if we can. I believe, the change from a garden to pavement stones would have affected the Feng Shui of your home. 18. 1. Firstly even if possible, normally tilting a door only brings temporary changes - and often not the best method. 2. The better method is to "tap" qi coming from good sectors e.g. if the qi coming from a specific sector e.g. a specific living room window, then it is good to constantly allow qi to come in from this window. And for some window(s) that has poor qi, then open them less often (provided these are not critical windows such as a bedroom window). If so, the window should still be opened to allow air to circulate. (opened but not fully).

Dear Mark, Please see below:- If you want to do an audit, there are available online tools available. Alternatively, all users are open to hiring a FS consultant if they want to. But please do not sent me a floor plan with dates of birth and expect me to do all the ground work. My main purpose is to help users in the recommendations and analysis. It is best to get all things correct in Feng Shui than just figuring where your wealth area is. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anthi, It is best to grow plants in a garden. In my opinion, for plants grown e.g. on the balcony, or interior of the house e.g. in an apartment/flat it would depend on the type of indoor plant. Not all outdoor or plants that require sunlight can be grown in the house. It would therefore be nice if one has an area in the flat or apartment for natural sunlight to flow and open space especially the balcony area where rain water can at times `splash' on them. For indoors, in my opinion, planting plants can be quite tedious if there is not enough sunligh. And one may often need to bring them out to sun. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Yes, Feng Shui cannot be done by remote control. If you don't stay at the (that) home, you will not be affected by it. 2. I understand that bamboos grow in clusters. And does not have a single tree TRUNK. If so, there is no impact with the clusters of trunks and branches of a bamboo plant on the Feng Shui of your home. 3. As we are not privilege to see what it is like, you may consider making a decision to keep or remove it especially if "darkens" the main entrance vis a vis covering the piping.

  22. Started by myfs_54668,

Dear Diane, In general, where it concerns the compass location at north east, it is best to avoid creating or enhancing the location to become too yin. This also depends on the size of your aquarium. Where water is considered a Yin element and too much of it may not be good for this sector. However, further FS audit may be needed such as: 1. What is the lighting level (especially natural light) that goes into this room/area? More natural light -- more yang and good. 2. How large is the aquarium. 3. If a Flying Star analysis has been done; how many #numbers relate to Yin at this sector? Where possible, the Flying star #numbers at this sector should have more Yang influence…

Dear Todd, Congratulations! For a newbie, you did a great job in researching and constructing a Flying Star Chart. 1. Yes, given that Grand Duke is at SW this year, it is indeed a good idea to give up on placing the tub at this sector, here. 2. At South-East sector, quickly: #1 = water #2 bad earth and #4 is wood. Quoting your research: "Lu Qi V2.3 Flying Stars of House - Metal is the cure, as it weakens the Earth and strengthens the Water of the good star 1. Possibly Wood, which fed by Water, controls the aggressive Earth of 2. But no mobile Water, that would activate the bad star 2!"
