Dear Kuah Huang, You can check out this url:- http://my.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/imagefolio.cgi?direct=Feng_Shui_Cures/6_coins In Feng Shui cures, the best remedy is to use 6 ancient Chinese coins with square holes in the center. The 6 coins are tied with a red string. It is usually hung on top of the wall or on the curtain as shown in the picture. For the picture, Singapore $1 coins can be used and placed side-by-side in a 3x2 row on a red packet. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  2. Dear Michal, 1. Many elements of "Shapes and Form" School of Feng Shui is about commonsense approach. 2. The main thing one should remember is that we should make the `room' fit us rather than to "re-design" ourselves to fit the environment. 3. Here, it does not sound appropriate for you to fit into the "principles of FS" based on the book, do re-examine, what you would have done if you have not picked up the book on Feng Shui. 4. Under the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui, things should be `natural' e.g. placing the bed at a location where one feels comfortable. For example placing the bed against a solid wall. 5. Only after one has done the above and have the luxury…

  3. Dear Kath, In fact, having a house number with a `4' in it very common, throughout the world. Given this situation, it boils down to our own personal `thinking'. Frankly don't think too much about it. A house number is hardest if not nearly impossible to change. However, if you live in a landed property, many people, have symbolically `raised' the lettering of their house number e.g. at the main gate pillar etc.. For example, the number raised looks like: 4 6 Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chloe, In my opinion, so far, to me, burying of three crystals a foot apart is something new. Some `authentic' Feng Shui practitioners had instead request to bury: the `Eight Treasures' of the buddha. Frankly, there is relatively no harm in burying crystals or coins with square holes in them. I believe, you have a garden. If so, a better alternative is to create a profile e.g. landscaping at the garden. Such that from a `helicopter view' one can see the profile or outline `neutralising' the missing corner. And at the corner of the missing corner, one can also consider installing a lamp. Hi Anon, I believe, I had just answered this question regarding an earlier post just a few replied before this. It is not abour the air-con ledge, but rather the toilet which was too close to the main door. Having a toilet located very close to the main door is considered bad feng shui. Hope that helps. Dear Norma, Since you are occupying only one side of the house, the centrepoint should be taken only on your side of the house. As for the breadwinner, although both roughly earn the same salary, with regards to Feng Shui, usually, if this is the case, the `male' or your husband should be taken as the breadwinner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wasis, For info, there may be deviations in interpretation by many practitioners on this issue: 1. Fire element? Some FS practitioners may view it as a Fire element: 1.1. Some consider, electricity i.e. using the PC (chiefly thru electricity or circuit boards i.e. memory, cpu and hardware as Fire element. Where fire = electricity. 1.2 If the business is related to software production, and thru the end result the `package': A marketing or sales personnel, who markets the product can be considered under the Fire element. Or hopefully under the Fire element (with the hope) that the product can be successful i.e. `fiery' sales or preference for activity. 2. Water element…

Dear Danielle, In my opinion, the method that you are currently using is often known as the "trip and fall" method. Touch wood! But, imagine, a one-time visitor or a new visitonr in your home - - visiting in the evening. Suddenly, there is a momentary power-outage. Because of the 'odd' or unusual placement of the furniture, the guest may perhaps, trip and fall! Again, this is like the stories we hear in the US, where someone blames the government for placing the lamp post at the wrong place - which resulted in a car "kissing-it". Best directions or facing best directions are considered as "nice-to-have". If can face a good direction - very good. If not, what the "he…

Dear Diane, In general, where it concerns the compass location at north east, it is best to avoid creating or enhancing the location to become too yin. This also depends on the size of your aquarium. Where water is considered a Yin element and too much of it may not be good for this sector. However, further FS audit may be needed such as: 1. What is the lighting level (especially natural light) that goes into this room/area? More natural light -- more yang and good. 2. How large is the aquarium. 3. If a Flying Star analysis has been done; how many #numbers relate to Yin at this sector? Where possible, the Flying star #numbers at this sector should have more Yang influence…

  15. Started by jennan,

Dear Anon, Feng Shui refers (in general) to the Earth Luck of a home. Feng Shui is about trying to increase the Earth Luck or trying to harmonise the home. Feng Shui thus cannot be done by `remote control'. For example, if one does not live in a particular house e.g. Smith Street, USA and say he/she resides in Trafagar Square, UK. His `earth luck' (the breadwinner's) would then be based on the house that of the home he currently resides i.e. Trafagar Square, UK. And not the house in Smith Street, USA. If the breadwinner stays in the UK. Then the person who earns the most and staying in Smith Street, USA; would instead be consider the breadwinner of this house. Warmest R…

Dear Anon, I believe there are two sides of the "coin": 1. Usually, on one side of the coin, even if we are correct, the person who owns the house has a major say or decision. 2. In my opinion, to equate South = fire element is quite a raw analysis. And therefore, should not be relied on totally. 3. Under the Traditional Feng Shui, when painting a room, it is based on two steps: 3.1 Flying Star of that specific sector Under the Flying Star theory, it does not mean that South = fire and fire is at this sector. Contrary to this, it is best to look at the relationships of all three elements : MS # with WS # with Base #. And work out what is the element either absent or…

  17. Dear Jude, The key word is: Location, location, location. What is most important are both the external and interior Feng Shui of a home. This involves: Shapes and Forms and Compass School of Feng Shui. The Compass School of Feng Shui is based on both the : Kua (Gua) and Flying Star Feng Shui. Currently, what you are looking at is just the Kua (Gua) of a person. And the directions you mentioned are considered very "simplisitc" as it does not take into account Flying Star Feng Shui. Where under Flying Star Feng Shui, directions are equally important not just the Kua (Gua) of a person. What you are doing therefore only takes into account directions based on persons wi…

Dear Anthi, It is best to grow plants in a garden. In my opinion, for plants grown e.g. on the balcony, or interior of the house e.g. in an apartment/flat it would depend on the type of indoor plant. Not all outdoor or plants that require sunlight can be grown in the house. It would therefore be nice if one has an area in the flat or apartment for natural sunlight to flow and open space especially the balcony area where rain water can at times `splash' on them. For indoors, in my opinion, planting plants can be quite tedious if there is not enough sunligh. And one may often need to bring them out to sun. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. In my opinion, the process of burial (burial place) and subsequently the procedure between this and before "forced" cremation can affect one's luck. 2. For example, the removal of remains e.g. excavation has to be done properly. Very simple situations include, putting up a tent above the burial site, just before excavation, plus, other rituals are significant. 3. Thus any process done up-to that stage and cremation should be properly done. 4. However, once the cremation has been completed, collection of the urn, arranging for the new site could also do with some "proper procedure". 5. Usually, once cremated, it is less crucial to find the best site since the urn wo…

  20. 1. For new unconstructed buildings, one may look at or consider whether it is feasible to "lock up" bad stars e.g. by building a store room at this area. 2. If it is a built up home or completed home, then commonsense prevails that it is damn ugly or silly to place e.g. a wind chime "smack" in the middle of the home. I know some Feng Shui practitioners do advise placing something like that. And these are the same practitioners that may tell the client " Don't ever use your master toilet" etc... 3. Many of us stay long term in a home. And a Geomancer only comes to our house often once in their life and for 1 or 2 hours. And to provide such advise i.e. never use the maste…

If one is applying Compass School of Feng Shui, if one looks a it carefully, for example if you house or apartment or many others that belong to Period 7 (1984 to 2003), most of such houses / apartments has bad influence at the East and South. Given this very general idea/information, most of the time, even if we take the door direction `wrongly' - this is very subjective: all the time the base # number plus the yearly and monthly base # will remain the same. The only thing that change is the #mountain #water. 3. Overall, and very generally, mo…

Dear Elena, Yes, this is acceptable: Either: 1. Cut the aluminum foils into 6 circular discs each without the red paper or 2. Cut the aluminum foils into 6 stars i.e. to `5 pointed star' without the red paper. This option is less advisable as the pointed star is considered `sha qi' to some practitioners. But both are a `cheap' alternative to the 6 i-ching coins. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mark, Please see below:- If you want to do an audit, there are available online tools available. Alternatively, all users are open to hiring a FS consultant if they want to. But please do not sent me a floor plan with dates of birth and expect me to do all the ground work. My main purpose is to help users in the recommendations and analysis. It is best to get all things correct in Feng Shui than just figuring where your wealth area is. Warmest Regards, Cecil
