Usually, these are placed on the least priority to focus on when trying to create a Feng Shui friendly location. For MS8, if it is at the north and if there is a wall behind it (not an open window), than the mountain star can be activated here. As opposed to the west. Since you had mentioned that west has a ws8. And ws8, goes with a water position not a mountain position. For example:- MS = 8 This is the current period - mountain star location.
