For example, the advise is that it is not good to have a bedroom above a kitchen. Although, fire can happen anywhere in the home, there is some possibility that a fire could break out of a kitchen. As fire, smoke and heat rises; someone living just above the kitchen could be at risk. In your case, it has more to do with `privacy' and security than "inauspicious" Feng Shui. For MS8, if it is at the north and if there is a wall behind it (not an open window), than the mountain star can be activated here. As opposed to the west. Hi Henry, Generally a wind chime should have hung on the outside rather than inside. However, please take note about wind chimes as different number or rods or the type of materials the rods are made of can greatly have an impact if hung at the wrong location of the house. Usually wind chimes can be used as a cure to cure different problems. But if hung at wrong locations where the elements are not needed etc, may cause more problems than good. Dear Angela, Please see below:- Primarily, the Eight House Theory or the East-West Group should not be used to activate good luck sectors. It has more to do with: 1. How suitable the house is to the breadwinners ; 2. It has to do with the time spent at that particular sector. If you want a feng shui friendly method (without resorting to the use of ba gua mirror) then my suggestion is to use a semi-circular carpet radiating outwards of the main entrance door.
