I haveencased myfish tank ina partition wall between my living and dining room. This means SE of the living room and SW of dining room. Using the five element theory, water in SE is productive but not so if placed in the SW. Is that right? Please advise if I need to put a screen to 'close up" (visually) the fish tank in the dining room. Thank you very much.

  4. Recently, we just went to site visit one of the new Sales balance flat unit. We spotted one unit but that unit's main door is facing to the gas/telecom room. (See "GasRoom.png"). It is not entirely facing to the telecom/gas room, but half facing. When we try to stand in front of this unit's main door, half of the view are blocked by that room's wall, and another half is unblocked. Picture "FromFrontDoorView.jpg" is showing how it looks like when we stand in front of our favorite unit's main door. Picture "sideview.jpg" is the side view of our favorite unit. Could you advise is this a good to take unit?

Dear Sophie, To be honest, even in the "east", Far East, when we set to do space clearing, we simply go ahead to clean-up the home. - The quick and easy method! I did not know that in the "west", for some, things sound so ..so.. complicated! Wow! In my opinion, more like hocus-pocus to me! Therefore, the quickest easy method is "JUST DO IT!" Cheers! Warmest Regards, Cecil sophie corcoran wrote: hi there how do i space clear and clense my small flat, ive read someroutines that r very precise and long including bells, candles, chanting, smudge sticks etc!i just want a quick, easy method! sophie corcoran wrote: i have nag champa incense!! is this enough??

  7. Dear DeVon, Usually the best advise is to check on one's religion first. For example, if one is a Catholic, one can obtain holy water from the Priest or invite him to `bless the house'. Similiarly, if one is a Christian, could ask your pastor to come to your home and `do some cleaning'. For other religions e.g. Buddhism, Toaism, should seek the help of their respective Priests/Monks. If one is a `free thinker', can still e.g. invite a religious person or go to a Catholic church to obtain `holy' water. Usually, prayers are said before sprinkling the `holy' water in the house. However, it is best to try to invite a Priest and only do this as a last resort. Where possible, i…

  8. Dear Erika, A warm welcome to you:) Usually, if it is ascertained that e.g. a person is a weak fire person, (under the Five Elements concept), one can enhance personal-self e.g. in the clothes that we wear. For example, for a weak fire person, under the productive cycle (ref http://www.geomancy.net/fs/5element.htm ) Wood helps fire to grow. Thus wood color is green or brown. Alternatively fire element can also be used e.g. pink, red, purple. Under the destructive sequence, Earth destroys water. Earth can be a controlling element of `water'. Overall, under the Five Element concept, one should not go to the extreme i.e "hot or cold" but ultimately, seek a balance of all fi…

Dear Anon, Hopefully, if the neighbour's ba gua mirror is quite a distance away, the further the better for your home. If it is not aimed at your balcony or if you have reflective glass e.g. tinted glass, it can act to reflect back the ba gua mirror if the choice is not to hang a mirror to counter the neighbour's. Frankly, not sure why the neighbour hung the ba gua mirror. Does many of your units in your block has sharp edges "cutting" the neighbour's units? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Generally, what you cannot see no longer becomes a threat. So if you based on this concept, whatever you can do to make sure that you cannot directly the poison arrow is considered a solution to the problem. Usually, for example a fence or a row of plants that can help to block the view are good solutions for an external posion arrow. Hope that helps. 1. In an office environment it may look very odd to place some of the traditional cures like a pair of flutes. The other common method is to draw a "fine" red line much like a small string just above where your head is (if it is under a beam). 2. The pillars according to your description, may not seem to be a problem. Usually if it is a concrete beam, the sha qi is approximately 1 metre. So long as you are not "cut" by the pillar, this is fine or no issue. Quote: Irene L. wrote: I sit in a cubicle and there is a a concrete beam over my head in the office. Dear Nisha, Actually, the concern of a mirror facing the bed stems from the belief that when one sleeps, some Chinese belief that the spirit leaves the body. When doing so, it may get a "shock" to see itself in the mirror. This is why, often, numerous Feng Shui books or practitioners does not favour having a mirror facing the bed. However, in the past I had mentioned that more importantly, it has to do with "how sensitive" we are or are not. For example, contrary to the above belief, we could say that when we sleep, our spirit, leaves our body. And, because it wants to look nice, look into the mirror and combs his/her hair before, going off! 2. Overall, we often hear tha…

    1. Humans or each person has their (his/her) ba zi. Similiarly every home also has it's own ba zi. 2. For the home (landed property, condo, apartments, walk-up flats) as you had mentioned, some homes may be born between 1984 to 2003 = Period 7. In addition, under Flying Star Feng Shui, one has to determine the facing directionout of a total of 15directions. 3. Oncea full Flying Star chart is found, then one NOT only can find one's wealth sector but also try to find out and disarm bad sectors. For wealth sectors, please check out my many, many previous posts on:- #8 = current prosperity (0 to2 years luck) #9 = future prosperity (

Dear Tammie, Under the Eight House Theory, the critical situation is that other than the main entrance i.e. Is this house suitable to the breadwinner; one must spent time at a specific sector. For example, it is not possible to spent `quality time' or literally spent time there as much as we want to. This theory therefore has it's limitations in that if it happens to be one's personal good sectors e.g. toilet(s), kitchen, and if one cannot spent time there then, one cannot do much more -- to enhance that sector. This theory, therefore is about good sectors -- e.g. to spent time at. And if one can't -- no remedy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Brad, 1. It is good to see if the amount of plants is proportionate to the size of the interior of the home. 2. Currently, there is no fixed ruleset to the amount of plants. 3. As to the placement of the plants, usually they are placed at either corners or close to the edge of walls where they do not `interfere' with pedestrian traffic or create /or likely to cause accidents especially in the dark of the night. 4. It is always good advise to check with family members or hear their comments on the placement (or non-placement) of the plants. Getting family members to `participate' and provide feedback is, in my opinion, a good idea. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Under Shapes of Form Feng Shui what is more important is that: 1. There should be clear space at the frontage of the house. (The bird or red phoenix) 2. There should be a solid backing at the back of the house i.e. tortise. These two aspects of Feng Shui are two very important factors. So which ever a house is facing where best have the above. Thus no matter if it is a `west' or other facing house; it should have the above. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Cindy, Firstly, the yearly or annual stars only effect the sector for the current year. Once the year is over the influence will be gone or changed. So I won't be too concern over this star 9 given that it isn't a potentially star to worry about (unlike star 2 or 5). The water feature is good because it will create a five element flow:- 7 - Metal, Fountain - Water, Star 3 Wood. Which makes Metal - Metal - Hello. My eating area has 7 MS, 7 WS & 3 Period Star with the 9 annual. I have a tabletop fountain here but upon analyzing this area, I assumed the 9 fire burns the 3 wood, at the same time the 7 metal also neutralizes the 3 wood. Is the water …

Two of the photos, relating to the views taken of the tree and your main entrance = from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui point of view - seems OK. 3. The huge tree trunk seems to be slicing thru the large windows. Most likely this is your living room? Thus based on external Shapes and Forms, it is good that you should try to disarm or neutralise this threat from the tree. 4. As the tree trunk seems to pose a "threat" to the home, please see attachment:- Marking A - most effective if you can place a convex mirror as shown in the diagram Marking B - if the convex mirror has been placed; i…

Dear Peck Wun, 1. Once a person had already purchased a house, there is nothing much under the Eight House that can be used as a cure. 2. The consolation for you is that in terms of the house facing, and based on your information, it is considered a good house. Although the bedroom's may not be suitable. 3. As you have not mentioned who is the breadwinner; it would be best for the breadwinner to occupy the master bedroom. 4. Here, who ever contributes most or paying for the house should therefore, occupy the master bedroom. Frankly, in order for a family to get the best out of your house; the ideal situation is to do a full audit of the house and for the individual …
