Dear Cindy, CindyLu Who wrote: Hello, I have moved into a new home, it's Period 7 house (S2) and have brought many plants with me. My living room areas are the S & SW, kitchen is N & NW. I can't seem to place them in an appropriate place as I do not want to destroy the 8WS & 8 MS yet wouldn't wood neutralize the 2 star? Generally, plants are always good in terms of feng shui. Most of the time most plants if any should be placed in the garden or balcony area. This is practical for it makes it easy to maintain and well as create a very nice garden environment for the balcony area which is extremely pleasing to look when you look from the living room area. Som…

Dear Tian Wan, However, based on what you mentioned I am guessing you are referring to the Pillars of Destiny. It very much depends, as Pillars of Destiny does a more accurate assessment based on birth element thus in terms of birth element you should use the Pillars of Destiny. For the direction of suitablility. The Eight House is a better tool to determining this and can be use with a more enhanced version 24 directional ba zi feng shui to determine a more accurate good and bad suitablility. Each theory has good and bad point and meant for a specific usage. So you need to know when to use which one to get the best out of Feng Shui. Which theory are you refer…

Dear Mr Lee , my unfavourable elements are Fire and Earth. My self-element is 'Strong Earth' and my Paht Chee chart showed that Fire and Wood are missing. Can I use red colour dresses to balance my element in the Paht Chee chart? ThankYou. David Lee.

Greetings! My girlfriend and I are possibly going to be moving into a period 7 house facing N2. According to our chart the period star and water star of each sector adds up to a "sum of ten" and appears to be very auspicious (if activated properly). I'm a little concerned though because it is a period 7 house with double 7's in the water and mountain positions of the facing palace. Does the double 7 override the sum of ten at the door? And do I need to be concerned with whether this could create bad chi for us in this period? I've also read that you need to have good form to take advantage of the sum of ten. The front yard has a big tree close to the house but not blockin…

Dear Fiona, In my opinion, symbollically one can change or replace 6 to 8 tiles. Yes, while doing so, try to allow light into the upper floor where the roof is. One can remove this ceiling board and replace this old one once this is done. No need to replace a new one. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Nowadays, even if one is considered rich; take the case of Michael Jackson; in my opinion; with his (past) high costs of living; money can easily go down the drain in just a matter of years, months or even days! So nowadays, even if one is rich or born with a silver spoon; this may not be enough! And how many people can say that they were born that way.. Many still need to work.. Because of this; the greater dependence of luck now comes from both Earth (Feng Shui) and Human (Man) Luck factors! Depending on individuals; these two type of luck may not also be of equal standing.. for all persons, all the time... Think of it like a ballon; one ball may expand, while the other…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My next door neighbors are a nice young couple, but their lifestyle includes loudy heavy metal music, drinking, barking dogs, late night visitors with noisy cars, all of which is conducted in their garage and on their front porch which is only a few metres away from my bedroom and my 10 month old son's bedroom (we live in a group of stand alone villa units). I have tried talking to the neighbors and asking them to moderate the noise, and they are very understanding and promise to be quieter, but then the noise continues. Sorry, but Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all times of problem. This is because even if youpaint the favourable col…

1. If you are able to analyse your home using a proper Flying Star Feng Shui chart; you can try to neutralise this issue by locating especially where is the Mountain star #3 and water star #3. 2. These stars #3 are related to issues such as what you had mentioned. If you are able to disarm or neutralise these stars; it would often help to relieve such a problem.

Hi, I recently moved into a new condo and just realized there is a river behind my condo. My balcony is facing the river and it is not visible at all covered by trees. But you can hear the river. My question, since the river is not visible, does it still have significant effects (be it good or bad) on my fengshui ?

1. In fact, as far back as 13 years ago, there was this "argument" with regards to Northern or Southern hemisphere. 2. The concensus amongst MAJORITY or ALL Traditional Masters is that there is no change. Everything should NOT be mirrored. 3. Majority of the feedback was:- 3.1 Many of the concepts use the lowest common denominator: The Five Elements concept. 3.2 Even in the Southern Hemisphere, North is North, South is South (unless one is exactly at zero degrees at North or South pole). Who lives at the North or South pole! 3.3 Thus just because the demonstration that when we empty the wash basin, the water "tornado" flow is a reverse or different in the north or so…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: The North section of my house is missing!!! My house faces NE and the North section happens to be my front yard. There's nothing but grass there. My youngest daughters life place happens to be North but it's missing, she tends to get sick all the time. Is there a cure I can use to help with this. Dear Anon, For really bad stars #5 combined or inflammed by #9; it is good to control this with "moving-metal". "Moving-metal" is particulary useful since you mentioned that in addition to these two bad stars, there is a further #3 = lawsuits, quarrels star. If the bedroom is not a bedroom, then one may consider using a six-hollow-rod windchime at that specific sector. Or a chiming clock around the wall of that sector. A clock that makes mechanical movement is also acceptable. Other traditional Feng Shui cures include:- a. the placement of a hulu or bottle gourd e.g. placed at the bed side table. b. for severe cases: get a jam jar (sized bottle). place 6 copper co…

Dear Anon, 1. In most traditional FS practises, the person's true element i.e. weak or strong element is taken into consideration especially in trying to make the room more closely `fit' the Ba Zi of the person. 2. Thus, if you are a weak water person, light blue colour and even blue colour bedsheet is considered beneficial to a person with weak water element. 3. The caution with `blue' lies with it over a person or room. For example, it is avoidable to paint the ceiling of the room blue. As this represents `difficulty' or water weighing on a person i.e. in the room. 4. For a bedsheet, for example, one is sleeping on top of it. And e.g. light blue painted on the wall; doe…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: From the Bazhi Summary, all the members of my household are suitable to stay in a north facing house. Will it be even better if we alsolive in the northern part of Singapore, such as Woodlands and Yishun? Yes, if you consider the ba zi direction, choosing a North of a country is one way of adding more Water to the person. Ba Zi direction is typically used in Macro analysis rather than micro analysis. Macro analysis is such as countries located in North, or North part of the country, or direction of travel North wards. For such analysis, ba zi element and direction would be better. Micro analysis is more like facing of a home, or sector of b…

(4) But the main door is directly facing the other apartment's main door. I read that luck or good qi will be sucked away by the other apartment or vice versa, what are the remedies? COMMENTS: In my opinion, it depends! Sound more like: Grandmother's tale. COMMENTS: In Singapore (SGP) in my opinion for condominiums; as high as 30 or more percent of flats have doors that face each other. For public housing; nowadays, this may be around 20 percent or less. COMMENTS: Thus in my opinion, the above is no big deal. Predominantly many homes in Beijing are North to South facing for a reason... because of the "dusts" blowing from the north.

Dear Gagan, 1. Usually, this is due to the sickness #2 and/or #5 (Flying Star Theory) within certain areas of your home particuarly the bedroom. 2. In general, without much investigations using the above theory, you could try placing 6 i-ching coins tied with a red string and hang it above the room. (Usually, an FS audit should be done in such situations to determine the exact location). However, you may try to place it around the bed area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, N1 and S1 charts are nearly identical. With the exception that their Water & Mountain Stars are flipped as shown here:- N1 PERIOD 9 CHART For example North is 8 1 S1 PERIOD 9 CHART While S1, North is flipped as 1 8 instead This is simply the nature of Flying Star charts. Thus a N2 and S2 will share similar traits etc.... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cam, Since the home is in escrow, do what you already. If you are applying Feng Shui principles, then the most important is firstly to check for any "threats" aimed towards the home such as a lone lamp-post slicing owards e.g. the main entrance or windows. Space-clearing is another commonsense approach to Feng Shui i.e. do not overly clutter the home, garage with too many boxes and storeaways etc... If you are still into Feng Shui, then take your time to understand key concepts like: Shapes and Forms Compass School : Eight House (like what you are doing) and if possible chart out a Flying Star chart of your home. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: cam tran wrote: …

Dear Elizabeth, 1. In Feng Shui, the front door especially at the frontage is considered the mouth of the house. 2. Primarily, this location should have clear space. 3. Thus, in my opinion, it does not matter if one place a fs turtle at this location. The main thing to avoid is to make sure that the front door is `protected' from sharp corners of other buildings or lone lamp posts that could `slice' thru the main door. Equally important is to avoid any objects with its mouth opened facing the main entrance area. 4. Even if the north = water element does not matter since this is the front area. Purchasing a `fs turtle' in my opinion, is just a decorative item... in such a …

1. Frankly, there are more in Feng Shui than what you had mentioned. 2. The info and the enhancements that you want to make in my opinion, is like trying to apply "Kindergarten Feng Shui". 3. For those who want to DIY and use many of the "logic" found below, should seriously scrap applying this type of kindergarten Feng Shui. Here, it is better to go with your feelings than to "considering painting the front door black to help enhance my career/wealth ". 4. Proper Feng Shui has no precedence with ideas and hopes, below. 5. For those who really only want to DIY, have to really find means to enlarge your Feng Shui knowlege. Frankly, this cannot do.
