Dear John, 1. The `coffin' position is one where when one enters a bedroom door, one could see a person's feet and the entire body and head. Therefore the full head, body and legs are therefore pointed towards the bedroom door. This is inauspicious. 2. In your case, based on what I can understand, (if due to space constraints or conditions of the layout); it is an acceptable position. The test is that if you `lift-up' your head, you should not see both feet through the bedroom door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- This Lunar Year until last day of January 2003; the Grand Duke of Jupiter is located at 180 degrees South. Next year he is located at 220 degrees South. During this period, a sector known as the Three Killings is opposite the Grand Duke. For example, if South is Fire Horse, than North is the Water Rat. During this period it is advisable not to disturb North since this is the three killings location as one may have bad luck for several years. There can be two issues:- 1. Make sure that if you are distrubing earth, avoid doing it especially at South sector of the house. As this is akin of disturbing the Grand Duke. 2. For a period 7 h…

If you have the auspicious hourly analysis, you can choose the best time that fit both person. However, sometimes we find this very impractical where most hours only fit one person and not the other. Or where the best hour is at odd hours (ie 3am). Since once you choosen a good day, generally all the hours will be good for you. So the more practical is go for better sounding ie 8.58am or 8.59am or 9.58am or 9.59am. Generally, these are the better hoursand yet practical hours toget most things …

Dear Gerald, I am not sure whether are you working or studying. Normally for a bedroom or a studio apartment, it should be more Yin or `state of rest'. Therefore the type of environment would depend on what you are currently doing i.e this depends on whether you are studying (plus your study habits) i.e. in a dormitory or you are working and returning home to rest. Other than the above, check the lighting in the room. The type of light could affect the environment around you. If you are a student and often study in the room, it is good to have a small hifi or portable radio in your room. Music does create a `more yang environment'. Here the essence of a small studio apart…

Dear Amy, Usually, under Feng Shui, painting of the door is based on the following considerations: 1. Are there any threats to the frontage of the house? If there are threats to the main entrance: Example 1: If the main door is facing a cemetry or tombstones.. then it is good to paint the door in the most yang of colours i.e. RED. Red is also chosen as an auspicious colours e.g. Chamber of Commerce building or the colour of temple doors. Example 2: Singapore is considered in the `South' and generally, since South represent Fire element, Metal colour doors or White is a generally good colour for the door. 2. The front door colour should `harmonize' with the element of that…

Dear Tegoeh, In my opinion, Feng Shui if properly applied can help boost one's luck i.e. health, harmony and prosperity. But, I would not recommend quick fix ideas; unless one has already been `blessed' with good earth luck e.g. excellent Shapes and Form Feng Shui of the house - which can give a quantum leap in Feng Shui. Otherwise, one may have to do much of the investigative work to try to boost one's Feng Shui. Therefore, if one is doing D.I.Y. Feng Shui then, one have to spent some time to:- 1. Shapes and Form Although we cannot change much of our external environment, we can try to find out and enhance or neutralise threats to the site/house from any poison arrows o…

Dear Mac, There are two sides of the coin to this:- 1. Naturally from a Feng Shui point of view - under symbolism, it is not favourable to display animals such as wolves. In the Chinese history, wolves are not revered because these animals are considered as both cruel and greedy. In addition, a wolf-in-sheep's clothing is also considered as a lecter or sex-stalker. 2. However, in many other countries or customs, it is perfectly alright to have (in the past) rug skins. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jolene, Frankly, it is difficult or impractical to hide this corner. An alternative is to use a poster bed with screens or curtains ... but again, this may not be a practical solution. A metal wind chime can be used in such a situation to neutralise the corner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kyin, It is advisable to close the toilet door. As for the toilet cover, this is optional. The other advise, is to keep the toilet `bright' and dry to create a more yang environment. As for the Ba Gua mirror, in my opinion, this is not of any use here. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  13. Dear Suraya, Usually, the Chinese astrology forecast you mentioned is considered very general as it looks only at the year of birth. Often, we may have to put aside such forecast since we do not want to create: 1. auto-suggestion 2. self fulfilling prophercy Since both of you have been staying for two years, frankly, it is time for both of you to plan for the future. In my opinion, even for weddings, nowadays, many of us plan for it. (Even if it is not this year). An early marriage is often a good idea; often because, it is good to have children when young. And also, it forms a basis for a continued relationship (for most people). Warmest Regards, Cecil I I …

Hi, under the Eight House Theory, Interpreting the 'Intangible Force', it is mentioned that we overlay the Kua template of the houseowner onto the house plan according to the direction of the house. I am ratherconfused as it should be the'type' of house accordingto thedirection of the main door. So the eight directions will be at different location then. Canyou clarify?

1 Considering the various forms of luck; ba zi is only 1/3 out of the Holy Trinity of luck. 2. Where ba zi is only about born with; and itis just a snapshot of when we were born. There are several escape clauses to it: education, influence from family, friends etc.. 3. For the home, it is still very riskly to consider just onhomes with earth directions, as there are many many more influences on a home.

Dear Anon, 1. So far, I do not see any issue relating to the type of floor pattern used e.g. in the kitchen. 2. In my opinion, just about any "normal" design laid tiles. For example from plain pattern to checked are perfectly ok. 3. The more concern is on Yin and Yang. For example, if the house is long and narrow e.g. North-South alignment; and if there are no windows on the East or West, this can be quite dark - particularly in the kitchen. 4. Thus, for such a situation, it is advisable not to use e.g. dark or black tiles. 5. Nowadays, when I review or do audits for my clients, I do get to see units that are of this configuration. 6. For example, this condominium was …

Dear Chee Siong, Please refer to the attached file. I have drawn three Options on how best to place a screen or divider (or divider with cabinet). Please refer below:- You only need to have a divider that covers the full (main door). In many instances, one can use e.g. a semi-circle or rounded edged divider so that it will not become an `arrow'. Alternatively, a screen can also be used. In both situations e.g. the screen and the rounded divider will not pose any problems or create a poison arrow. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Cindy, Firstly, the yearly or annual stars only effect the sector for the current year. Once the year is over the influence will be gone or changed. So I won't be too concern over this star 9 given that it isn't a potentially star to worry about (unlike star 2 or 5). The water feature is good because it will create a five element flow:- 7 - Metal, Fountain - Water, Star 3 Wood. Which makes Metal - Metal - Hello. My eating area has 7 MS, 7 WS & 3 Period Star with the 9 annual. I have a tabletop fountain here but upon analyzing this area, I assumed the 9 fire burns the 3 wood, at the same time the 7 metal also neutralizes the 3 wood. Is the water …

  20. Recently, we just went to site visit one of the new Sales balance flat unit. We spotted one unit but that unit's main door is facing to the gas/telecom room. (See "GasRoom.png"). It is not entirely facing to the telecom/gas room, but half facing. When we try to stand in front of this unit's main door, half of the view are blocked by that room's wall, and another half is unblocked. Picture "FromFrontDoorView.jpg" is showing how it looks like when we stand in front of our favorite unit's main door. Picture "sideview.jpg" is the side view of our favorite unit. Could you advise is this a good to take unit?

Dear Cindy, Would firstly appreciate that you do not post a message without any message content. Anyway, a house birthdate is defined as when the house was built (ie 1999 (would be a period 7 house). If there are renovations (especially major ones), ie hacking of walls or changing of interior structure of the house or expansion of the house etc. Such major renovations may cause a birthdate to be changed to a new period. So in such cases where major renovation was done after the house was built, the house might be converted to the year the major renovation was done. Hope that helps. 1. Traditional Feng Shui uses both Shapes and Forms and Compass School of Feng Shui. 2. Since your "Shapes and Forms" is always changing on a ship, logically this concept does not apply to a moving ship. 3. In addition, on a moving ship, compass direction(s) is always changing, equally, Compass School, does not apply. 4. At the higher level is the Yin and Yang concept. Thus this is the most relevant i.e. when time for sleep, see if your home on the ship is cosy enough. And in the day-time usually during work, you should be on the ship's deck or command centre?

Dear Susan, Please see below:- If you have a layout plan it would be much easier to give you proper advise. There is a conference for attachments for this. I understand, you have applied for help under our token, audit for `hardship' case. Robert will give you the necessary credit for this. For those, who have problems, is advisable to use more professional tools as it usually will help to analyse the situation in a more `scientific' way. A layout plan would help us locate the main door. If you have previously, consulted any practitioners and had been given advise on purchasing `stuffs' to hang, it is adviseable to remove them totally. From many past cases, it is …

Dear Camelia, Camelia Estrada wrote: I am in the process of buying a new home. Each home has a model number. Should I consider the model # as important as the future street number and evaluate it on your house # section? Frankly, house number plays the least amount of impact on the house luck. The external shapes and form and the feng shui of the house itself is most important. Most will focus on the unit number only if there are two units of the exact same layout ie one is #04-01 the other is #08-01. Say you have such a choice then, you want to check to see which is better luck. In most cases, auspicious number analysis can be subjective. For example, if going just…
