Dear Veronique, 1. Although, further investigations may be required e.g. such as looking at the birth chart using say Flying Star. 2. However, under Shapes and Form Feng Shui observation, a good colour would be white or off-white or shades of white. Which represents the metal element. Try to avoid pink/purple or red or shades of this colour. 3. If blue colour is ever used here -- this has carefully evaluated especially under Para 1. Blue can go both ways - i.e. it can either be used to " create " wealth or alternatively be a double edged sword i.e. like hot and cold (blue vs red). Much investigation may be required if this colour is used. 4. Alternative colours can be us…

Dear Anon, Frankly, a layout would be easier for us to help you on such advise. Uncluttering is always good, but for advising where is best placement, a layout plan would speak a thousand word. Though, many factors will still need to be considered ie the best direction etc, however, the shapes and form placement is often quite important. So generally, there is usually one or two way to place a bed in most modern layout. Whether there are at least two different position, then you based on which direction will be most suitable for you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Colleen, Generally there are three main reports:- A. Eight House Report B. 20 Year Flying Star Report C. Pillars of Destiny Report A. Eight House Report It is good at this point to use a transparency place each member's Eight Intangible force on the transparency. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Later this transparency is used to look at in particular, the intangible force affecting: 1. the main entrance door 2. the living room or areas where each person spents most time at. 3. the bedroom. Here it is used to try to see if one can place the bed at a good sector of the room. B. The 20 Year Flying Star 1. Firstly, Use this report to check for imbalances…

Dear Anon, Yes, what I mentioned in the Applied Feng Shui course is primarily based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Since (OFTEN) locations that we can place a water position even under Flying Star Feng Shui have to meet the criteria that there is sufficient clear-space to allow for a water position. This is why, in some homes, even if the water wealth position such as double 8's under Period 8, can still be at the "sitting" position e.g. the back of the house. And if the back of the house is the lounge or family room or patio, then, this is a favourable location to activate water wealth position. If the pictures are simply "decorations", then since NW has the water wealth…

Dear Lily, Lily Loh wrote: May I know Orange colour belongs to the Fire element or is it considered gold - metal element? Orange is by default classified more as Earth element. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Thank you for your time. I am selling a home in California, the front door does not face the street, this seems like a benefit is that correct? If so how can I use this to my advantage in marketing my property? Frankly, as long as there is no road cutting towards the house or curving into the house then there is no sha qi towards the house. Therefore, there should not be any major sha qi from that point. But this is a very common feng shui benefit. Therefore, if you do want to use feng shui in your marketing of your property, you should be wanting to list it's major or uniquefeng shui benefit rather than to list all the minor benefit. Hope …

Dear Anon, In my opinion, it sounds more like the wishes, one hopes to receive - similar to chain e-mails. If one really has the time to do so, there is really no harm .... then the time / ink ... (I am not encouraging this but...) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Monique, Although the octagonal window does not pose a `threat' i.e. poison arrow; most probably, there is an element of `superstition'. Perhaps your neighbour felt that now, the bathroom `became' obvious and to them, it could be that it is thus considered inauspicious to have their door distinctly `facing' the bathroom. Dear Daranee, Frankly, it is perfectly ok since if one look at a it from a proper perspective, it does wonders for human or man factors. Although, the text book case of this situation being inappropriate under earth luck, but if it truely comforts your parent. Then this is perfectly fine. In fact, human or man luck factors often overrights any earth luck factors or feng shui. Therefore, do let your father have his way since it truely brings him comfort for the time being. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear MD, Based on your unit, you should find the centrepoint of the unit. And from this centrepoint (standing at the centrepoint) use a compass to `aim' at the main entrance. Please follow the method used here:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm The above should help you to properly determine whether it is Chen or Kan. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. for the mechanics of how to? you can visit this url: http://www.geomancy

Dear Sophia, One of the methods or "conditions" that can help change a home to a Period 8 home is (besides renovations) is to invite the lion (lion-dance) into the home. This act of the lion "threatening" the home and in return, the owners hang a red-packet or hong-bao is traditionally done on the 15th day of the 1st month of the lunar calendar. Thus since this year's Chinese New Year (CNY) starts on 8 Feb 2005, traditionally the lion-dance is held on the last day of CNY or 22 Feb 2005. The lion dance actuallycame from Western Asia to China during theTangdynasty. For those with private business, do take note that for start of business, one shouldopen business either…

I am currently loosing money. If you are facing issues, then you will need to troubleshoot your home before anyone can tell you what are the problems for your home. Only when you know what are the problems can you attempt to correct your situation. ie. Is your home unsuitable to you based on your eight house or ba zi? ie. Is the living room sector a bad position to put water feature under the flying star. ie. What is your best sitting position so that you can arrange your furniture to…

Dear Amy, Amy Belisle wrote: [6] & [7] - Disaster. When Star 6 and Star 7 cross path, Co-operation is not good. Possible breaking of partnership, Own department rebellion, lawsuits, Male and Female do not get along. Female more aggressive. Period 7 will mean injuries to hands and legs. What would be a fix for this? Yikes, everything is working against. Thank you for any advice. I presume, the 6 & 7 number is the house number luck. If so, it just means the house isn't that favourable to you. It will not have as great an impact unless it is refering to the flying stars of the sector. But this does show that this house is not as favourable to you. However…

Dear Johnny, 1. If one uses a Ba Gua mirror, it should have a convex mirror at the centre (e.g. like those placed at car park blind spots. It should not be concave as this is meant to `absorb' rather than deflect. 2. For your mum's room, ideally, you could use curtains. For example, two layers of curtain i.e. day curtain and night curtain. In the day time, day curtain could be used to shield against this poison arrow. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Leroy, Many of us have grown up with pets e.g. companion dogs etc... in our home. But in a school environment, we are not allowed to keep them. Frankly, since you are young, and if you really enjoy having a small bowl of fish, usually, there is really no issue in doing so. I believe, it can serve as a stress relief:) Go with what your heart feels:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Maria, Please goto this forum message on the various options to "fly" your home into Period 8. === Quick extract ==== Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Feng Shui) on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 09:51 AM Dear Anon, Ideally, the favoured change is to have a "major renovation". For example, hacking away the entire flooring or some walls and/or change of main door, or windows is a sure way of `flying' to the new period......... ==== end of partial extract ==== For a NW1 apartment, it is best to see if it is more advantages to fly into the new period. In particular, so far, NW1 homes seems to have quite a lot of problems, especially the last few years.... Warmes…

Dear Theresa, It would be good if you can provide a `sketch' and send as an attachment to this forum for me to take a look at it. As mentioned, it would be best to provide a sketch (in proportion) as it is difficult for me to comment on the above. Apologies.. I am not too clear on this. Determining the frontage of the house is important here. Some houses, may have the frontage facing the `back' of the house. Usually, if this is the back of the house, it is best to have a wall or fence (bushes) to protect the back of the home. It would be good to have the house protected on each side and particularly advantages if it can be like a horseshoe effect. Warmest…

Dear Anon, Usually, the significance of a windchime is not related to the Kua (Gua Number). Under Traditional Feng Shui, it is particularly commonly used at locations with #5 (misfortune) sector of the home. Especially if it is made of metal. The generation of metallic sounds is useful to neutralise #5. In your case, if you do rely on the above, can, at your own preference, try to find a place, in your home to place it. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Vijay, I recommend that you take a three step approach: 1. What is the purpose of each concept? 2. What is it's strengths? 3. What is it's weakness? If the above is clearly understood, there is no issue in understanding what is 8 directions/Eight House vs Pillars of destiny (Ba Zi). There are already lots of replies to such related questions. Please do a SEARCH and try to figure out the above:) Warmest Regards, Cecil
