Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Started by unknown,

Dear Anon, For this coming Chinese New Year (CNY 2005), yes brown is acceptable. Since brown represents wood. And the green in this sector is also OK; since both green and brown are wood elements. Wood element is much like a tree with roots (sink-into-the-ground) to crush earth (bad #5). thus, this is acceptable. This is based on the "destructive" cycle of the Five elements where wood destroys or crush earth element. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Recommendations: 1. For this coming CNY, should remove the red mat since red can fuel earth element or inflame it. Thus the alternative is to usea blue mat. Here, water helps to draw-…

dear Anon, 1. Yes, I strongly believe that good authors often state facts. 2. Even if our homes is miles away from the sea; we are literally affected by daily high/low pressures. 3. Even the idea of full moon i.e. our moon is many thousands of mile high; yet, there were documented cases of people's mood affected by the magnetic force of the moon. We can literally see high/low tides based on the moon's gravitational pull. 4. Even the Grand Duke theory is based on the planet Jupiter .. which is said to be the biggest planet and thus have a `magnetic' influence on our planet earth. 5. Thus, one must never, never discount: Macro Feng Shui. 6. Yet, time and time again, we…

Dear Master Lee, I came across your explanation of ubi grove (part 9: Flying Stars Feng Shui ) that west group individuals can choose NW3 units. However, I also came across the table on what consider to be an auspicious house based on the direction of the main door. Does that mean that the NW3 units above are considered inauspicious units?

Dear Anon, 1. The best way to understand web sites that promote: e.g. Helpful/travel, fame and reputation is to check out their PRODUCTS page. 2. In my opinion, in many or most situations, you will invariably see some or even many types of goods (at very high mark-up price) with the aim of making profits out of everyone. 3. This is especially in the USA: If we ever want to consult a FS practitioner in your area; ask this question:- "Is your FS fees fixed?" This is because, the FS fees may be stated at US$150, but when the FS practitioner comes, he/she may cart along a full suitcase of "valuable" FS items. At the end of the session, your total audit bill may come to as muc…

    1. Frankly, Feng Shui is not a cure all. 2. What is often, really needed is to do a full assessment based on the Holistic Approach to finding out what is wrong. 3. The Holy Trinity of Luck:- 3.1. Luck comes in three forms:- 3.2. Heaven Luck - born with 3.3. Earth Luck - Feng Shui of the home and office 3.4. Human or man luck 4. Only through a full assessment - in particular: the review of one's Heaven luck and Earth Luck can one get a bigger picture to identify what are the issues and problems, first.

Dear Monique, Although the octagonal window does not pose a `threat' i.e. poison arrow; most probably, there is an element of `superstition'. Perhaps your neighbour felt that now, the bathroom `became' obvious and to them, it could be that it is thus considered inauspicious to have their door distinctly `facing' the bathroom. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  11. Hi Master, Based on the floorplan below, seems like there are some issues that is not good for fengshui. Main door is 45 degree facing the window Does that mean loss of wealth? Does closing the main door help? Main door is directly facing neighbour's main door Does the mean it will get conflicts easily? Does closing the main door help? Bedroom 2 & Bedroom 3 are having odd corners (5 corners) Heard it is bad in feng shui but not sure what will happen and any remedy? Is the center of the house consider the toilet? Dear Flannery, 1. Under the symbolic animal concept, yes, the centre represents the Yellow snake. 2. Overall, we should not take the animals "literally". As the saying goes "a picture paints a thousand words". 3. Let me go off-track (first): In Singapore, when we started our first Singapore elections to elect representatives to Parliament, it was mandatory for political parties to adopt animal signs. 4. Thus, if one does not have or could not think of one; candidates can choose from the register a list of "party symbol". Thus one can find an independent candidate with e.g. an animal symbol as an example an elephant, or star etc... 5. Therefore, if (in a hypotheical case)…

dear Jen, 1. If there is no boundary and the entire piece of land seamlessly looks like merging with the entire area, than, this is far better off! Than, purposely demarcating boundary. Where, it will clearly show as a truly odd shaped piece of land. 2. Generally, we should not be too fearful of odd shaped piece of land. Unless often it affects the drainage of the land. 3. Overall, after reading your note, I do feel sad, not because of your land but the fact that I live in a country that not only must one have a fence but it has to be relatively high or prevent unauthorised people coming into it. 4. In Asia, and especially in Singapore the norm for a landed property home…

Dear Anon, Thank you for your attachments. Although, it would be interesting to comment on religious buildings; it is prudent to understand that:- 1. Authentic Traditional Feng Shui is not a religion. Everyone be it a layperson or even religious preaches have their own right of view of such things as Feng Shui. 2. I have a strong regard and respect each religion. And as mentioned above, it would not be prudent to comment even on the `house' which the church sits on. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  16. Dear S L, 1. If one visits some Feng Shui site(s); one may come across quotes like " 60% or 70% of one's Heaven Luck can be " changed ". 2. In the olden days; if one is fairly rich or well to-do or say of the middle income would: 2.1 Marriage Many would seek professional advise to see if the Ba Zi of the couples match or clash? If the match is good; the wedding would normally take place. 2.2 Birth of Child Immediately after the birth of a child; for example; the grandfather or the father of the child would normally consult a Geomancer. For example if the child lacks `water' element; " Water " would be included in his/her name to compensate the shortfall. 2.3 Ba Zi Feng Sh…

  20. Dear Viren, In my opinion, it is best to relook at your Marketing and Sales strategy, first. Here, `packaging' of your product and how it can achieve sales through the distribution channels. As Feng Shui or Chinese divinity methods, emcompass a wide field especially for a company. It is harder to apply Feng Shui or Chinese divinity methods as a full scale of methods i.e. depth and breath may have to be used such as analysis of : owner(s); the company's location; the owner(s) Pillars; the owner's home. In fact, a whole barrage of Feng Shui and Chinese divinity methods may have to be used in a holistic way in order to improve one's `luck' or the company's luck. What I feel…

Edited by Robert: Frankly the many many questions here would make this more of a Full consultation than a simple Free advice. Master Cecil and Master Lee Iam male, 1969. According to your Free Personal Ba Zi Element Report,I amWeak Wood, and require Water (most fav) and Wood (fav) In my BaZi,3 metal elements, 2 Fire, 1 Water, 1 Earth, 1 Wood. Quite balanced. But, a Geomancer told me I lack Water. My strong metal elements are indicative of my high IQ (more than 156, more than qualified for MENSA, already one of top IQ in the world) I am aware of your advice that Earth Luck is more important than Human Luck, so the office and home environment Elements is more important…

  23. Dear Angela, 1. Frankly, at a macro level, there should not be an issue on the design of an air regulator `based' on Feng Shui principles. 2. More importantly, it is the product and the shape is designed on the practical aspects of both incorporating it and how easily and cost effectively it can be produced / moulded. 3. For example, a split airconditionering looks almost the same for all models. Rectangular in shape, with removal filters. Air is circulated through the vents at the lower panels. 4. The only Feng Shui consideration is to avoid, where possible posion arrows e.g. sharp cornered objects. Where possible, edges should be rounded. Point no. 4 is the most importa…

Dear Christina, Please see below:- Yes, from a business perspective, this makes economic sense and being new, is equally attractive senario. There are 2 units Under Flying Star FS, the facing directions for NW1, NW2 and NW3 is particularly (good) proposition. While for SE sitting or facing is still pretty attractive. In my opinion, this unit may seem less attractive if (in particular, IF neighbouring roof-tops seems to slice or cut into the unit. But, this is correctable. In particular, as you have not mentioned how much "tinting" is on the windows, if the windows are well tinted, or looks like reflective glass from outside, this is often not a major issue. I…

  25. 1. Frankly, of course, this is not ideal: both in terms of Feng Shui and personal feel (especially if one is fully aware of this). 2. From the illustration, one good thing is that all the sewerage pipes are not sharing the same wall as your work-station. Which is a plus point. 3. Most likely the wall separating your work-station is made of concrete; this is again another plus point. 4. Traditionally, one can buy a hulu (around 2 inches to 3 inches) high and place it on one's table. If it is not hung, then metal (brass/copper) hulu can be used, here. Alternatively one of those wooden hulu can also be used.
