  1. Dear Anon, 1. The priority should be given to balance the inauspicious Flying Star sector. Once it is balanced, it is considered neutralised. 2. Between the two, Flying Star takes priority. But once the imbalance has been neutralised, it should no longer come under a `threat.' 3. Thus, you can still sleep in the room which is one of your auspicious Eight House sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Slawek, 1. Usually, a more acurate analysis is to use the Flying Star analysis. 2. Based on Flying Star numerology, do look out for #2 sickness and #5 misfortune nos. 3. It is my belief that the South sector has an imbalance and it could also be the result of bad wood #3 and the addition of water element i.e. fish tank that could create such an imbalance. 4. To sound `less complicated'; since your family members are now sick; it is best to drain off the water or remove the fish tank as soon as possible. Certainly, there is indeed an imbalance at that sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  3. Dear Irene, 1. Some Feng Shui practitioners felt that because, from 2004 onwards (for the next 20 years), it is governed by number 8. So, some practitioners say that it is good to have numbers with 8 in it. For example, as part of the handphone no. etc... 2. But honestly, if it is not so easy to find numbers that can come-out (strike) lottery. As it is based on probability or mathematics. 3. With regards to lucky charms and pendants, this is not really Feng Shui, but perhaps, part of "feeling good". 4. Some of feel good because, we have some money, do not know where to put it, but out of impluse, see something we like, we go buy it. 5. Human beings are just like that. Par…

Audio tends to deal with Music or when sound is charted it is in the form of wavy lines. So I wouldclassify audio engineer under a Water element type career. Improving luck in as many areas in a person's life (ie a suitable home facing, suitable career, wearing colours favourable to you etc). 5. Dear Lawrence, If I understand correctly, your bathroom door is quite a distance from your bedroom (but directly facing each other). This is secondary, and in my opinion, you could (if you can) close your bedroom door instead. 1. Usually, the impact is greater if the toilet is part of the bedroom. 2. If the toilet bowl is not visible from the toilet door, this even much better. Overall, I would not be too overly concerned in your situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Fanny, In an open cubicle system, most of the time, we have to make do with the sitting position imposed on us. In a room concept, or one occupies a room, usually, the office desk may be able to be tilted to a good direction. Unfortuantely, in an open concept, we may have to take on any table. If this is such the situation, then, hopefully, we can face one of our 4 best directions. If you have not used the Free Eight House report on sitting position, you can use it to check out your sitting location. This is simply taking an ordinary compass and looking at the direction you are facing i.e. sitting down and facing to work. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In my opinion, there should not be an issue here. Usually, it would not be good the "opposite way" i.e. to have the master bedroom below a far worse situation i.e. a toilet bowl directly above, say the master bedroom bed. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jose, In my opinion, some FS practitioners may immediately comment... " nonsense " or " rubbish " on the placment of Ba Gua mirrors. Usually, these are western FS practitioners. In the east, such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Far East i.e. Singapore, Malaysia, many FS practitioners do ask their clients to use Ba Gua mirrors. In many of the past messages, the usage is for : 1. To ward off evil. Here, many of the FS practitioners may have a religion e.g. Toaism or Buddhist and these group of FS practitioners are the most likely ones who not only ask their customers to place Ba Gua mirrors but also `charms' with them to ward off evil. In fact, there are many who simply …

Dear Momo, You can check out the online report to generate What type of career? report at www.geomancy-online.com and a description within it. Here, there is a claffication of type of job i.e. Job with wealth and Job with power and authority. And generally, jobs that are considered suitable on a hold. Nowadays, there is a high component of multi-skilling in many of our jobs. And, we should be aware that many jobs involve the interaction computers, machines etc... One may have to breakdown the component of some of these jobs further to find out the main discipline. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear David, I believe, in Singapore and everywhere else, needless to say, usually "better" Feng Shui homes or apartments (especially in choice) locations often common a higher premium than others. Thus, this is why for most condos, units facing "good views" such as the water feature (pool) etc often can command a higher price than say a unit next to, facing the dustbin area etc... Although Feng Shui is a major consideration, often when it comes to resale apartments, the usual "bad comments" are: 1. This is a "west" facing home or apartment - - quite hot 2. Fire station Yes, not so much of Feng Shui, but imagine the "noise" of the sirens ringing or the station activa…

Here are some of the major considerations:- 1. Avoid hanging the photo (portrait) sharing the same wall as the toilet. 2. Avoid hanging the portait facing the toilet. 3. Try not to have the photo facing the main door. 4. Try to avoid having the portrait facing the dining table. 5. Avoid placing the portait in any "persons" bedroom. 6. If it is placed in a study or an EMPTY bedroom, place it close to or next to the window. But make sure that the sun does not shine directly onto the portait. 7. Avoid hanging the portait at the "end" of the hallway. 8. Avoid hanging it sharing the same wall as the stove or facing a stove or facing kitchen utensils such as knifes, forks (s…

Dear Madi, In all periods, #2 (sickness) ; #3 (Bad wood); #5 (misfortune) can be considered bad. But some FS practitioners consider the period i.e. in Period 2 (which is along long way to go); #2 may not be all that bad. Or if we are in Period 5, #5 may not be all that bad. A good example is #7. In period 7, this current period ending in year 2003, #7 is OK because #7 is associated with the Period 7 number. But, #7 if interpreted under Period 8, may not be good. For those who have houses with Double #7 at the front door, need not worry, because, if there is no major renovation done in Period 8, your house will still continue to enjoy #7 or where this house is known as a P…

  20. Dear Diana, In my opinion, most of us, would face the same sort of problems. Especially if a house has not being looked into, prior to the purchase. Sometimes, even if we activately seek to find a good house, eventually, the bedroom may not be suitable. Or, one of the partners is either a East or West group persons. From the many cases, I personally feel that, no matter how, one should get the Shapes and Forms correct in the first instance. The overriding consideration is based on the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. And once this is good both external and internal, it is better than trying to fit oneself in a `Eight House' dilemma. So far, there is no basis (from what I know)…

I have attached a photo. Do you count the covered porch or not? Because if you do not count it, then I will be missing a corner in the SW area, which is not good for me because of my ba zi. If based on the layout you attached, I would consider the garage a protrusion rather than consider the covered porch a missing corner. This is because when you conider where the main door is located, that would give you the border house, where the grarage becomes a protrusion. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robe…

Dear Curtis, Please see below:- I am glad that you found the advise useful. For a split level house; it should not apply as what we would like to have is to apply the concept of clear space in the living room and the steps leading up to the split-level i.e. dining is part of this feature. Thus, in your case, there is certainly no need to use a partition. The partition or divider should be used if there is some adverse sha qi such as a toilet facing the main entrance. Here, you have to understand the following: 1. If you are doing a Feng Shui audit to determine which is the main entrance door; then, it would be a main concern as to which door to use to analyse …

Dear Mark, 1. It would be nice if we can have a look at the design. But not `compulsory' thou. 2. Where possible, doors should open inwards into the house and not outwards. 3. It is acceptable to have carved doors especially, if the owners like them. There is no `fixed' rule on the type of carved door used. 4. In fact, there are many houses in the `past' where decorative panels are used on doors. 5. Nowadays, the most common (in relation to temple main doors)are the `proud' figures of the two famous door gods one on each side of the door panel. 6. Normally a nice designed door panel is good to have and would not be a `horrible mistake'. As I do not have a full view of th…
