Dear Jen, Please see below:- Last year, I went out to buy various Ba Gua mirror. And created some resources under conference Photo Tours of Interest (with pictures) Please do a SEARCH under this conference for terms like " Ba Gua " or " convex " and you can visually see the different types of Ba Gua mirrors. Some mirrors are convex, concave, some have door gods on it, some have a lion with two swords in its mouth. Please take the effort to go thru these resources, first. Under the above resource, I have also indicated which type of Ba Gua mirror is normally being used. For those who wants to learn authentic Feng Shui should do more research, first. I personally on…

Dear Youqing, 1. Thank you for your sketch and clear description/details. 2. Based on Compass School Feng Shui, to me, it seems that it is unfavourable to have a pond at the location you had mentioned. 3. Given that you had shown the compass marking that the proposed pond is to be located somewhere at South-West. This is at the West/South-West sector which is at the `white tiger location'. 4. At the white tiger location, it is not advantages to have a pool as this could result in financial distress later on. 5. This is because, a pond your proposed kidney shaped facing the home looks much like a drooped or `sad' looking mouth. 6. Even if it is in the opposite direction…

Dear Anon, Overall, there are many other considerations in analysing the home: 1. Shapes and Form School. Where possible, the home conforms to many of the good factors of the Shapes and Form theory. I know there are many. But in `defensive' FS, try to see if the house is a whole house e.g. few or no missing corners. In addition, check to see where the toliet locations are. They should not be located at the main entrance etc... 2. In terms of suitability of the house, yes, try as possible for it to be `suitable' to the breadwinner (usually it should be your husband). However, as mentioned under para 1, Shapes and Form can make or break, the luck of the house. 3. If the hou…

Dear Noe, 1. Thank you for bring up this interesting question. 2. To understand better, we can generally say that what you had mentioned is in my opinion like comparing "an Apple with an Orange." 3. This is because if one look carefully; what is `missing' from the understanding is the " TIME PERIOD ". 4. If one looks carefully at say the GUA number and how it has been derived, it is based on a person's YEAR OF BIRTH. While a proper and very complete Pillars of Destiny Chart comprises of:- YEAR, MONTH, DAY AND TIME OF BIRTH. (This four items is what we commonly call FOUR PILLARS) as each pillar is represented by one of the time periods i.e. Year, Month, Day and Time of b…

  5. Dear Max, Overall, if your office is at ground level or within the height or blocked by the level of the warehouse store wall, this is considered inauspicious to have an office there. However, you mentioned that there is a street between this piece of land and the wall. If u have a picture of the frontage of the land facing the wall, I can have a look to provide you with further comments. Other considerations:- 1. Under the Five elements concept:- 1.1 Earth element warehouse? If the warehouse is a flat structure i.e. flat roofs - then this is considered an "earth structure". Or if the overall building is a `flat' like structure with roofs. To counteract or `create' wealth…

  6. Dear Maverick, maverick ong wrote: I'm a strong yin metal person but my house main door facing directionis East (ie. wood element). How to resolve the conflict ? Clashes in your house facing element isn't really as bad as having a house falls in your death/disaster sector based on your eight house. This is because if your house faces your death or disaster sector, you cannot really correct this problem. As the house either suits you or not suits you. You just cannot force a house to be suitable to you. Just like if you bought some clothings, if it fits you can wear it, if not you have to get a bigger or smaller size clothes. Based on your ba zi, your element can be enh…

Dear Cindy, Please sent a private message to: robert-lee@geomancy.net We would try to provide you with the necessary reports to do a self-audit. However, you may need to do some homework such as determining the direction of main entrance etc... You should have no problem input the various information required to generate a Home Audit. 8. Dear Master Cecil, This year the 5 yellow Yearly star flew into the East Sector which is an occupied bedroom( A) . Does it help if the windows of this bedroom are kept closed except for the upper vent ? The bedroom door can be kept open during the day for better ventilation. The ideais that the #5 Qi would have to come through the East Sector windows ( btw these windows are SE facing). That is, can we manipulate such that Qi may circulate from the Living room( NE & Center)into the East Sector bedroom thru' thebedroom doorbut preventing the negative #5 Qi to enter from the East bedroom windows by closing these windows? Similarly, the adjacent bedroom (B)falls partially…

Dear Anon, 1.It is always best to understand each concept or theory in order to have a good grasp or proper foundation to help us achieve success. 2. The first thing that comes to my mind when you mentioned Gua or Kua is: 2.1 What is it based on? When we first try to apply this we need to provide an input. For Gua or kua numbers : we merely need our year of birth. However, contrast this carefully with the inputs needed for ba zi analysis. For ba zi (Pillars of destiny) we not only need to have the Year of birth, but also at least the Month, Day of birth. And if we can, try to also use our hour of birth. 2.2 So what is so different with these two concepts? We can tell at a…

Dear Anon, Usually there are two ways of looking at the colour scheme of a bedroom or room:- A simplistic view:- This is by way of checking the family member's ba zi element and strength. For example, if the child or person occupying the bedroom is a weak water person, then the best colour for the bedroom is based on two colours:- 1. Metal (white or gold) 2. Water (blue, black or grey) In the above example, the room can be painted in neutral white. And curtains or bedsheets in blue or say grey, in colour. In a higher dimension of Feng Shui, the Flying star Feng shui is also combined to look at the bedroom. For example, say the person who is staying in the bedroom…

Dear Anon, To be honest, there is very little information to go on to assess whether it is OK to place the fridge close to the main door entrance. Usually, in a compact kitchen, often a fridge do happen to face a stove. This is especially acceptable if the kitchen is located in the south of the home. It would be best to avoid such a situation i.e. stove face a water position (in the north or if the kitchen is at the north). See if the new location feels more comfortable to both of you or the earlier location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  13. Dear Anon, 1. The symbolic method to making another main door is to place the house no. on that door instead of the `actual' main entrance door. 2. In my opinion, one can still use the other `main door' and it is not necessary to `seal' off that door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jessia, Under the Eight House theory, there is not much one can do on this matter. Whenever, one spents time at.. However, it is best to take the view that the position of the table / chair should try to conform to Shapes and Form Feng Shui. And avoid any poison arrows `aimed' at it or sitting under a beam. Other considerations depending on your level of `application of' Feng Shui may include checking the sector for any imbalances using Flying Star and correcting it if any. This depends on whether you just want to use the basic " Eight house " or Shapes and Forms. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  15. Dear Vijay, 1. It is best to apply a "pie chart" method instead of using a 9 x 9 grid in such a situation. 2. There are two types of Flying Star for the home/office:- 2.1 Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui This is the common or regular 20 Year, Yearly, Monthly Flying Star Feng Shui based on the Luo Shu grid. Since it is applies to horizontal analysis, I have mentioned that if one wants to look at the external perimeter; than locate the centrepoint of the location. And by using the pie, one can either concentrate the pie sectors - to within the interior of the home/office or extend it out (i.e. literally continue to extend/draw the lines out.) 2.2 Vertical Flying Star Feng …

Dear David, Thanks for the sketch. 1. For the lamp post, since it is at the edge or perimeter of your unit, it does not seem to be a threat. 2. For the cluster of thin trees, this is OK. 3. But for the single 1 tree, it pose a threat. Fortunately, since it is at one side or overlooking one side glass panel, it is simple to "correct", since most of us use a set of curtains and often, the curtains can be drawn to just block the view of this lone tree. Dear Niap, Please see below:- Clear space at the frontage is an alternative to having a water position, here. If it is flown to Period 8, in my opinion, it may not be advantages to the male breadwinner as there will be problems if this sector is "uncured". Since there is an imbalance of too much fire x 2 times. Make sure that the room does not have too much wood (especially green) to further inflame it. Introducing earth element is a double edged sword, at this sector since, earth can fuel further bad metal (#7 theft/robbery star). The most effective element is water: Blue, black or grey at this sector. All users please don't simply copy what is the base, mountain…

  18. Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, lighting and also music (from Hi Fi or from TV/cable set can help increase the yang energy. (This is not meant at you but it is interesting to note " Music soothe the savage soul ". Classics like Vivaldi 4 seasons etc.. " can have a calming efect.) And in the day, if you do not mind pop or just simply listen to the radio all day can help the mind at ease. Tune in stations where the presenter or a pair of presenters chalk up interesting converstations. 2. Frankly, it is good for you if you have mobility to move around outside of the house e.g. window shoping or just spent time outside or some heathly gardening. 3. However, if one is in-mobibl…

Dear PG Tan, Please note that flying star though only uses numbers, has lots of theories and concepts. As such for one to truely know how to read the information, you will need to really take an indepth course on the flying star itself to fully understand how the interactions of each numbers will mean in different sectors. There isn't going to be any easy way to explain it. This is why on our website, we already provided the free flying star analysis whereby the key stars to take note are already colour coded so that you can tell whether a star is good or bad. For detailed, analysis, we have the paid version of the flying star which does all the analysis for you. In an…

Can I buy this property? 1. Bring along family members to find out how they feel about this house. 2. Those who have some understanding of Feng Shui can either check whether the home is suitable and if possible; apply Flying Star Feng Shui. 3. Or seek expert help from a Geomancer.

Dear Jonathan, 1. There are different levels of `participation' in the use of Feng Shui. 2. Generally, if it is based on intuition, if it is new house, what is you and your family's initial impression of the house. 3. It is always good to make a few copies of your layout plan and discuss with your family members the layout and type of interior decor used. 4. The inclined towards intuitive or by feel. 5. Next, for D.I.Y. plot a template of each family member's Gua number. And you can use the Eight House Theory. 6. If you are familiar with Shapes and Form Feng Shui do apply this to your home. 7. Check for any poison arrows (if any) aimed at the main entrance or any windows.…

Dear Anon, For this coming Chinese New Year (CNY 2005), yes brown is acceptable. Since brown represents wood. And the green in this sector is also OK; since both green and brown are wood elements. Wood element is much like a tree with roots (sink-into-the-ground) to crush earth (bad #5). thus, this is acceptable. This is based on the "destructive" cycle of the Five elements where wood destroys or crush earth element. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Recommendations: 1. For this coming CNY, should remove the red mat since red can fuel earth element or inflame it. Thus the alternative is to usea blue mat. Here, water helps to draw-…

Dear Sophia, Please see below:- It is more a concern than reality. Since the fridge is not known to emit any dangerous radiation or microwave. The only concern is with some fridge *touchwood* is the "heat" .... But given that there isasolid wall between the bed-head and the opposite side fridge, there is no issue, here. The worse "senario" is perhaps a neighbour of the same floor level hanging a (railway station, type of wall clock) facing our unit. Symbolically, the Chinese does not like to "give" a clock to others... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Usually, the living room should have `clear space'. But what you mentioned may not necessarily mean that your home may not be auspicious. Perhaps, you have to look at your entire house layout rather than base the assessment solely on the door opening... Overall, even if the main door does not have clear space, we can use this to be the direction of the main door but consider other aspects such as the location where light comes in the `brightest' into the home. What you need to do is to see that this location e.g. the living room has clear space within the living room (if possible). Frankly, there is really no `harm' in using mirror(s) as many FS practitioners …

Dear Anon, In my opinion, it is very difficult to depend on a compass to determine all these stars that you had mentioned. Frankly, if this is the case, a book on " Secrets of Wealth, Relationships Revealed " may come in a paperback. If there is such an authentic book, then, in my opinion, it would be the hottest seller outselling books like the bible. But unfortunately, a holistic approach is a better bet. All of us in our lifetime have taken examinations since young. And we all know that the `clue' here is simply put -- to score maximum marks in the various sections of the paper. Holisic Feng Shui is also like this. And one should take into account the best practises o…
