Dear Anon, You have brought up an interesting question. 1. What career suits me? Overall, in Ba Zi, there are two major types of career aspirations:- Career with wealth (either earned or unexpected) Career with power and authority. Under this category, it is interesting to note that under Ba Zi, a career associated in this field is linked more to a person who becomes a boss as opposed to working for others. Reference:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/paidreport-examples/paidreport-samples-career.htm 2. A professional look at your palm or palmistry can also look at whether you are more suited in joint ventures; working on your own or working for others. Warmest Regards, Ce…

  3. Buying a dream home demands a major chunk of an individual’s wealth. A dream home comprises of all the amenities and is supposed to be situated in the best location. The varying needs of people have given rise to concept of new condo Singapore. Concept of condo is highly preferred by people because of the amenities in proximity to the townships. It is apt for both individuals and families to stay in condo as they have a lot to offer and to top it all it is safe and secure. There are a lot of benefits that a condo has- Safety and security First and foremost the condo concept helps individuals to live securely because of secured gates of the property, hir…

Dear Anon, Yes, under the horoscope sign Ox and Ram are not compatible. However, you are a Strong Fire Ram, while your husband is Strong Metal Ox. Your husband benefit from you as your Strong Fire helps to keep his Strong Metal in control. Your husband is also your wealth to your Strong Fire. So though your horsocope isn't the most compatible, but your five element is compatible. Therefore, your incompatibility isn't the most incompatible pair. So it isn't really that bad. Also, you can improve the relationship by having more water element. Please refer to this chart for five element and relationship:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Hope that helps. Warmest Regard…

It is just that we answer mails not based on the time it was sent but rather the content of the mails. If you really want to you may want to do a numerology for the date of birth, that should also give you some lucky numbers. You can download the Free Feng Shui Software from the website, there is a numerology software which analyses the natal number for you. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/software/index.htm Just remember to key in the Lunar Birth Date rather then the Solar Birth Date, as I have no time to put in the conversion module yet.…

  6. Started by myfs_106071,

Dear Pam, Frankly, I would have to say, it depends! For a N3, P7 home, do check where are the activity rooms e.g. living or family rooms. If they are located at the back of this home, then, it is ok to keep to P7. However, the current P7 home has inauspicious #2 and #3 with #7 at the centrepoint of the home, thus is reflective of loss of wealth and sickness within the home. One may have to either consider changing to P8 or look at changing the main door direction to a N1 home (depending on the situation). Like I mentioned, more investigations should be made, first. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Can you confirm whether there are any `poison arrows' threatening your main entrance door. 2. I would normally not recommend using a Ba Gua without a proper reason for doing so. 3. Usually, it is common for the Ba Gua to be hung for the following reasons:- 3.1 To help ward off `sha qi' or poison arrows aimed at the main entrance. Best to stand at the main entrance looking out of the house. Look out for poison arrow(s) in the form of a pointed roof of a neighbour's home aimed at the main door or a lone lamp post which seemed to be `slicing' the main entrance or any windows of the room. 3.2 In the `East' it is usually used in conjuction with:- - Charms writte…

  9. Started by Muthu,

Dear Dr Muthu, In practice, usually when a next door neighour has a main door that faces each other; one neighbour may place a Ba Gua (Pa Kua) concave mirror above the door. In such a situation, the neighbour has no choice but to use a convex mirror to conteract the concave mirror. The Ba Gua mirror depends on the thinking or mindset and the use varies with " different people ":- 1. Some practioners or practioners who combine Feng Shui with religion may go all out to advise each and every household they come in contact with to place a Ba Gua mirror above their house even if there is no sha qi or poision arrow. These group believe that by placing the Ba Gua mirror above th…

    1. Frankly, you must have a misconception of a Ba Gua (Pakua) mirror. 2. Do you really know what actually the ba gua mirror is (are) used for? 3. Traditionally, for the Chinese it is used under two main reasons : 3.1. Ba Gua mirrors with the 8 trigram markings on the outside with or without mirror is meant to scare away "evil spirits". There are many variants including those with the twin door gods, and all types of mirror or non-mirror in the middle of this ba gua. 3.2. To deflect sha qi or poison arrow. And the concave one is to "replace" the missing corner.

Dear Michael, In my opinion, many Feng Shui authors or websites have factored in the `true compass direction'. For example, in this website, all compass directions mentioned are based on `true' compass readings i.e. from an ordinary compass. What is `North - zero degrees' is North and what is `South - 180 degrees' is true South. Overall, if one is trying to follow a concept from a website or a book author, it is best to `read' or understand the author's concept totally. From start to end. And not read a certain concept from one site and piece it with another information from other sites. For this website, I like to confirm that all interpretations and analysis is based on…

Dear Bernie/Ann, There are some resources on the type of ba gua mirrors under the attachment picture. Try to check out the conference: Photo Tours of Interest (with Pictures). Do a SEARCH for the key words as found in this attachment. A ba gua (pa kua mirror) should not be anyhow placed inside a home. For example, it should not be placed inside a home facing inwards into any of our rooms, living / dining, bedrooms. Or for any purpose, it is not ideal to place it inside the home. If you do a search of the above resource, you can find that a proper type of ba gua mirror (depending on it's shape and mirror and wordings or door gods have different purpose.) For exa…

Hi I heard that a pagoda figurine could be placed on the right hand side of a study table. May I know whether it has to be on the right hand side of the table? Any difference if I place it on the left hand side of the desk? Will there be any effect if the figurine is partially chip off? (tip of figurine and sides a bit chip off) Some said that spoilt figurines are not suited to be displayed. Is that true? Regards, Amelie

Dear Carolyn, For painting red colour, it should be the "standard" red as found in the red/blue/green e.g. of TV sets. However, pink, purple can be considered in the spectrum of red colour. Red, is considered the most Yang of the `red' colour while pink or shades of it is considered `less yang' but still represent the fire element. As for pinkish orange, one may have to look closely or get a few persons to comment on the colour... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Peck Wun, Off-white refers to a colour that is white but has a tinge of grey. Or it can also be considered as white with very light shades of other pigments e.g. red, blue, green or yellow. When one look at off-white colour, it is exactly white but slightly duller white. Many of the new paints are white in colour but when we look it at an angle, it looks more like the e.g. pink. Here, very minimal pink is added to these colours. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mr Low, Overall, the earth element has only one main colour i.e. yellow or shades of it such as: cream or beige. (No other colour represents it). A safe element is often:- 1. White (metal) element. Or a combination of water element and gold such as the colour of the wrought iron gate / grille where often: the background is black and gold is splashed onto it. Ideally, one has to take extra care of using fire (red, pink or purple) at such sectors. As fire may inadvertently fuel bad earth #5 or #2 if they are present at that sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  19. 1. Some Geomancers consider "water" in the bedroom as:- 1.1. Some defined water as a Yin element : thus to them water is not suitable to be used in a "yin" location e.g. such as a bedroom. Here, it is a "static" painting, and not real moving water. 1.2. There are some who consider a painting of a water fall, as "moving" water ... so to them their interpretation is that since a bedroom should be for rest "yin"; then moving water = Yang is not suitable in a bedroom environment. 2. Frankly, these are the two most common interpretations by different Geomancers. Again, there is no right or wrong answers. See which or both appeal to best to the lay person. 3. What is really…

Dear Monica, Frankly, in Feng Shui, there is no specific need for `special' paintings all around the walls in a bedroom. If you have posted this message to a "Feng Shui emporium", I believe, you will be happy `slapped' with various items to buy on their site. In Feng Shui, one key success factor is "clear space". And cleanliness. I am not saying that hanging paintings is not `clean'. But for those living in Asia, and at low floors, such as 1st to the 4th storey, there are such insects / reptiles as : lizards. Often, if one has three paintings, at night, one may just get a glimse of a few `fat' lizards, coming out of the hiding of various paintings to catch their bait. No…
