Dear Anon, It is worthwhile for you to get professional Feng Shui consultation in your country especially since your huband's health is poor. Frankly, your questions are piecemeal and without relevance to proper Feng Shui diagnostic tools like Flying Star Feng Shui. Thus things like bamboo tree (real or fake) can be a double edged sword. As some sectors may not be suitable for such a cluster of plants. In addition, I do not have a clear picture of the exact size of the new building and whether it "cuts thru" the main door, windows or what is the distance etc... Dear Andy, Generally, you can opt for: First Choice:- A. Metal (white / gold or silver) with Water (blue, black or grey) combination. Second Choice:- B. Metal (white / gold or silver) with Water (blue, black or grey) with Wood (Green or brown) Where: (Metal = circle, water = wavy or wood = tall and thin) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Emily, You can try to activate metal at this sector. Since this is the living room area, the most effective cure is to activate with a 6-hollow rod metal wind chime. Dear Anon, 1. There are two "angles" to look at the case where often, from the master-bedroom, we may see the toilet (toilet bowl). 2. In many apartments; be it a condominium or an HDB (government housing development board apartment or flat); in fact all master bedrooms have a detached-toilet. In some instances, we do not get to see the toilet as it may be closer to the bedroom door. 3. As mentioned under Para 1; there are two ways of looking at the "issue" or non-issue with the toilet:- 4. From a Shapes and Form point of view 4a. As you have mentioned, some people may feel uncomfortable seeing the toilet (toilet bowl) from their master-bed. Frankly, there is no…

Dear Lawerence, Please click this link for reference on the Five Elements Concept:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm If you look carefully, there are two different diagrams:- a. Productive Cycle As you are considered as a Strong Fire person, therefore; your best "harmonious" elements are: Since you are already a STRONG fire person, it would do "injustice" if you add Wood to further inflame your fire element. Thus under the Productive cycle, as a strong fire person, you should look three steps forward i.e. Earth (Yellow, cream or beige) Metal (White or gold) Water (Blue, black or grey) I believe, at this stage you should be comfortable wit…

Dear Anon, In a past article in this website; I have mentioned that there was a study in Germany. Where it was reported that there were higher incidences of cancer for those who place their bed above a sewerage pipe. In your case, hopefully, the toilet bowl shares another wall (other than with your bed head). If so, so long as the toilet bowl does not share the same wall as your bed-head this is often fine. Just try to avoid having the toilet bowl (pipes) on the same wall as your bed-head. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have a wallbetween my bedroom and bathroom. 8. Dear Anon, There are currently 3 formula available to calculate the Gua Number:- Method 1 Male Calculation - Subtract the last two numbers of your year of birth from 100 and divide by 9. - The remainder is the number of your Gua. - If there is no remainder, you should take the Gua number 9. For Example: Born in 1970, 100 - 70 = 30 30 divided by 9 = 3 remainder 3 Your Gua number is 3 Females Calculation - Subtract 4 from the last two numbers of your year of birth and divide by 9. - The remainder is the number of your Gua. - If there is no remainder you should take the Gua number 9. 10. Dear Kritchnop, 1. If one is applying ba zi to relate to car colours then simply use the free tool e.g. in this website located at geomancy-online.com to check one's ba zi element. 2. For example, some of us are Weak Metal, while others may be strong metal, strong wood etc.... 3. The preferred colours are available to all of us. 4. To be honest, colours are considered "nice-to-have" and not a must! 5. In addition, most of us have three categories of careers (based on our ba zi) e.g. Career with wealth Career withpower and authority and Career that is acceptable or OK. Dear Anon, 1. The general consensus amongst the majority of Feng Shui practitioners is as you had mentioned "place our bed, with the headboardpointing at ourfavourable direction ". 2. This is often the most commonly practised method of defining the above. Thus the saying "head first, not legs first". 3. This saying "head first, not legs first" also associated with the Chinese belief that if we need to bring e.g. a person using a stretcher out of a home or bedroom, we should bring his "head first, not legs, first". Legs first implies bring out a coffin or coffin, position. 4. Of course, there are a FEW Feng Shui practitioners who say that favourable direction is opposit…

Dear Sophia, There are several considerations, here:- 1. Factors not taken into consideration in this message: What is the Shapes and Forms of this home like? External, Internal Feng Shui What is the facing direction (mouth) of the home like based on Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, a Period 8 NE1 would not have the same Feng Shui as a Period 8 NW1 home etc... Because of this facing direction, some homes have "more" while others have "lesser" luck. 2. Your friend did not mention about the degree of incompatibility i.e. From lesser incompatibilities such as "irritation and spook" to much greater issues like "death or disaster". 3. Dear Andy, 1. Frankly, there are no right or wrong answers. This is because in some instances, the "stone" (jade) could belong to one element or a combination of other elements. 2. Let me give you some examples: 2.1 Shape If the jade is shaped like a triangle, then we may say that it is considered as a "fire" element. If the jade is sometimes shaped into jewellery e.g. a jade ring, then many of us would consider this a gemstone or "earth" element. You can think of many other examples, here 2.2 Colour Usually jade is green in colour. The depth of green colour can range from light green to deep grain green. For a scholar of "The Five Elements Concept" perhaps, he …

Dear Sharlene, Usually this term is used under Flying Star Feng Shui. Under Ba Zi, the equivalent is quite close to"nobleman" luck or indirect luck. So general, it ecompass anything to do with "indirect" luck such as luck for say the woman of the home - in her career luck. And often, it also refers to "indirect" luck that give rise to financial success. For example, the breadwinner is/was able to purchase stocks that "suddenly" rise in value etc.. Or a business opportunity out-of-the-bluethat brought alot of $$$ to the breadwinner. Warmest Regards, Cecil Sharlene Soh wrote: Dear Master, Could you please elaborate what is indirect spirit? Dear Anon, No, generally, L Box is usually made up of "light materials" like gypsum board. And close to flat. Unlike a concentrated beam that often needs to support a structure. Thus, in my opinion, it is just a perception, then a real issue. For example, some say that a double-decker bed is not good. Because, sleeping on the lower bunk is not favourable. However, it is very common since the 1930's for many people to sleep on a double decker or bunk bed. Notice that it is one flat piece and not a concentrated beam. In the 1930's till to-date, many have entered universites, stayed in dormitories and have also sleep on double decker beds. No significant issues in heal…

Dear Anon, Based on what you had described, this is not a "real definition" of such a leak. For this leak, it has to be a straight path from the main entrance door directlytowards the back or an opening. What you had described is thus a 90 degree turn from the main entrance door. Thus is not the same as above. It is best that you check for other "leaks" in the home, instead. 20. Dear Susan, It is best that you do not include the non-living areas such as a garage when determining the rectangle of the house. The sink and windows of the garage should also be discounted since it belongs to this area. If one is having a problem, try to use the 2nd storey outline to determine the "rectangle" outline of your home. Here, you would have already determined the centre-point of the home. And use this to match the lower floor - while "cutting" out the excess fat (garage area). The idea of the centrepoint is to find the "centre" of gravity in a home. (but discounting the garage area) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Johanna, In fact, many people would fall into your category of having chosen "wrong homes". What is more important is a "holistic approach" to Feng Shui. What you had mentioned is like the "tip-of-the-ice-berg". Generally, what you had described has to do with the eight house theory. It is only one of the sub-divisions of the Compass School Feng Shui. As mentioned above, a holistic approach is if one really applies Feng Shui to review or access a situation or home / office is to apply:- a. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui b. Compass School: Eight House with Flying Star Thus, what you had described is just one sub-division of the Compass School Feng Shui. A full F…

Usually, the most obvious concern of this home is the 'T'junction that you had mentioned. In particular, the most vuneral part of the home is to check whether the main entrance or windows are "exposed" to this 'T'junction. If the main enrnace door or windows are exposed towards the 'T'junction, a cluster of bushes may not be as effective. Usually, the most effective is a "solid" wall or fencing would be better or safer. So long as one does not as yet stay in the new home, anytime of the year is OK to start renovations. However, if one has already moved-in; best for this year to avoid renovations especially at the NW (Grand Duke location which is the main door) and Wes…
