Hi Angela, Sorry, but didn't see any attached picture. So quite difficult to comment based on your description. Please re-attach the file. Generally, you need to be more concerned about the breadwinner (probably your husband). You need to ensure that the house faces at least one of your 4 good directions and have a suitable bedroom for the breadwinner. If the eight house is quite opposite, then at least house should suit the breadwinner while the bedroom should suit the spouse. Hope that helps. Dear Lily, Quote: May I check if our whole HDB block is being washed and painted by the Town Council, does that put our block into Period 8. The neighbouring blocks are of course painted as well ie. all the blocks (total 5 blks) in our area are painted. Painting alone isn't often enough to be classified as a major renovation. Major renovation is often classified by hacking of walls which change the internal structure of the house. Thus, your unit will retain the existing period. Hope that helps. In general, I believe you have done your best for the new office. For a long corridor (if there is sufficient space), plants on alternate side at intervals would be `nice' to have for Qi manipulation. More importantly, the location of key personnel's table position such as you and your partners are critical also. Bear in mind Shapes and Form techniques to place the table not by itself but against say a wall. It is equally favourable to site at a good direction or facing position i.e. The Eight House facing chart. If possible, you and your partner's table/seats should be located at the back (and especially good) if there is a wall acting as a solid backing behind both of …

1. Ba Zi or Four Pillars is above one's Heaven Luck. 2. Under the Holy Trinity of Luck:- Heaven Luck (born with) = The other two sets of luck are:- Earth Luck & Human Luck Both also accounts each for 33.3333% of luck. 3. Thus, his hope is to either improve both his earth luck and Human Luck. 4. Earth luck can be systematically improved using things like Flying star - to activate certain locations and sectors. For example good mountain stars can be activated for networking and relationship luck. 5. Another category is Human (factor) not so much luck but rather Human opportunties.. Get him to join some activites or even if he is not so choosy, nowadays.. the…

Facing direction of a home does not necessarily mean that you need e.g. the main, front, door. You mentioned: "Our main door is a sliding glass door facing east. " Usually this should be the frontage or facing direction of your "home" especially if there is "clear space" at the front for qi to congregate. Again, it depends on any blockages e.g. sides are "neighbourhood buildings" etc... If the home is facing e.g. a lake vs the frontage is facing the roadway.. sometimes, the view of the lake could be the frontage. Need judgemental skills.

Dear Stephaine, 1. I can quite understand your confusion on how to apply the various concepts that appears in various books - authors, FS practitioners. 2. On a macro level; it would be best to avoid `modern' day concepts on Feng Shui. Such as Ba Gua teachings or the use of Fixed templates. 3. Where possible, try to find out, where possible, whether certain forms of FS is based on `modern' day teachings or traditional forms of Feng Shui. I understand this may be difficult if one learns from a third party. But if it is through a book or site, try to avoid sites relating to Black Hat Sect FS. The clue is to check on the author's background and /or association especially wi…

Dear Anon, You can refer to an earlier message to this forum conference: Calculation of Natal Number of 9 December 2001. Usually, if one get the calculation correct, all should be the same. Please note that there is difference in computation for i.e. Male or Female. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Diana, 1. If one is frequently ill or stressed, Flying Star Feng Shui can help to diagnose the `birth chart' of the house. And if there are imbalances in one or many sectors, this can be neutralised. 2. However, we are looking more on the `technical' side. And equally important is the Shapes and Form of the house. 3. Here, Shapes and Form is important because, it can be used to look at a house from a macro level and later on a micro level. 4. One should first apply Shapes and Forms first. And if necessary use other tools such as Flying Star to look at within the home. 5. The rationale for this is quite simple:- One classic example was written by Dr Evelyn Lip in on…

Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, we should often look at the "bigger" picture of things. A bed frame can be made of wood or metal; often this does not really matter. In fact, it does not really matter if the bed frame is made of different types of wood - so long as they can "last" or worth the amount it is being paid for. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Becky, Becky Miller wrote: In analyzing the house number, which date is more significant: the date the house was first built, or the date in which significant changes to it occurred? Thank you. The year the house was built if it is2004-2023, then no issue as it will be period 8 house. If it is a built in earlier period ie 1984-2003, then you have to determine if there are significant renovations works done. If there are very major renovations done in after 2003, then you should use the period 8. Otherwise, you should leave it as period 7. You should be using the same flying star house built for the house number since they are based on the same analysis. Hope tha…

Dear Dovie, One way of looking at things is: " I see, I like, I buy". If you find the tabletop water-point, nice, you can go ahead and purchase it. The above is based on `feelings' and intuition as opposed to the more complex analysis that one may do based on Traditional FS such as Flying Star (to check that a water position at a specific sector is acceptable or one's element and strength is suited to the above.) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Karen, 1. Red tile roof or clay coloured roof tile is a common preferred choice. 2. For painting the entire house, it is always best to paint the walls white or alternatively pastel shades of any other colour be it beige or cream - which are acceptable. 3. This is because, other than white or off-white; cream or beige or shades of it is often the choice of colour of architects and interior designers. So long as the colour(s) are light or pastel shades (making the wall bright) this should be acceptable. Here, the idea is (other than the bedroom) is to make the house `bright' rather than dark. 4. Another reason is that, if there is an imbalance at a particular sector,…

Dear Pam, From your sketch: 1. The specific property is not at the "worst" end of the cul-de-sac. 2. Imagine a "knife", it's edge or blade slices more distinctly to (especially) the opposite propertyof Para 1. 3. However, at a cul-de-sac, no matter where a home is, where preferably, the main door should not be direclty facing the cul-de-sac. Where possible the main door is often at the side of the home or a car park leading into the home. And the main door is e.g. on the "left side" of the home. This is to make sure that there is no "possibility" of any threats to the main entrance. Besides the above, of-course usual things like drainage? The drainage such as a lar…

Dear Joanne, For a trailer, the most important area is the siting or site of the trailer. In my opinion, this has the most impact on your Feng Shui. Other than that, since it is considered small space, not much one can change the structure of the trailer. Depending on the nature of use of the trailer, if it is more for rest, after work, then, priority should be given to its location close to work, convenience store and its surroundings. Hopefully, the surroundings is not `dry' or unprotected e.g. barren land and no trees. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rosemary, There is step-by-step guide as to how to apply the Eight House Theory under this link: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm More importantly, you should do the following: 1. Have a layout plan of your house. 2. Find the centrepoint of the house. 3. From the centrepoint plot in the exact compass direction i.e. North / South - East / West. 4. Get the eight house chart or use a transparency and write down each of the intangible forces on the layout plan. For more information, please refer to the aboce link. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, You may like to review the attached resource on the Devil's gate:- http://sg.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-gate.htm and on Dangers of underground water http://sg.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.htm Please see below:- In general, water positions behind the house is not ideal. And also, the main entrance door should not open to a house that is literally built on a slope. For example, the living room etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil 1. Feng Shui originates from China. And it was imported to Japan. Many Japanese practitioners apply 9-Star Ki which is one and the same as Flying Star Feng Shui. 2. A large tree is `dangerous' as it was felt that a spirit …

Dear Yang Ming, Under the Eight House theory:- 1. How suitable is the house? Often, if `death or disaster' sector is at the main entrance for the breadwinner, this is already considered like the breadwinner having a `fractured' arm. 2. If the house also has a toilet at the centre of the house; then these are more leaks. More leaks translate to something like: a fractured arm to an `amputated leg'. 3. It is thus more important to understand all these. 4. In addition, under the Eight House, it is better to sleep in a good sector and nice to have sleeping with the head facing a good direction. 5. Other than the above, there is nothing magic about the Eight House. It has it's…

However I thought of buying a house that I like and it is facing East but my like kua is 2, East is not my favourable sector. Should I drop the idea in getting this house? Is the door facing VERY important? Thank. Joe Suitability is impossible to correct after you purchase the home. If the suitability is Spook or Irritation, it won't be too bad. Since the house is Disaster sector, which is one of the two worst sector. It is highly not advisable. You should remember that the facing of the house is the most important thing next to the environment of t…

1. Frankly, authentic Feng Shui has to use tools like Flying Stars etc. 2. Otherwise, you may have to do like everyone else; based on your acumen and feelings in the placement of your bed etc.. 3. When you place your bed-head, you should feel comfortable with it despite having 2 doors and 2 windows as it is very difficult to visual what you had mentioned in writing. 4. If your bed is placed against a window, often, the window(s) are not opened and curtains are drawn. Seethe B. wrote: i am fairly new to feng shui. i get the basic idea, so i dont know much about flying stars and all the fancy stuff, but i am trying to at least start with the basic ideas or feng shui so…
