Dear Jesline, In my opinion, there is nothing magical about the bell. Like all other decorative items, it is acceptable to treat the worn out bell as any other dirty decorations, throw it away. Given that this is not an authentic Feng Shui object, but decor, whether one wants to get a replacement or not is entirely up to your own Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Louis, Under Geomancy, it works on the premise of the "Holy Trinity of Luck" i.e. Heaven factors Earth factors Human factors Under Heaven factors ---------------------- Under geomancy: Ba Zi is used to look at relationships - favourable or clashes. It is much like the Chinese astrology where we have different animal signs: such as one partner could be a "Rat person" while the other partner could be a "Horse person". Under Chinese horoscope, for example a rat's worst compatibility is a horse person etc... Under Earth factors -------------------- Flying star Feng Shui can be used to identify "quarrelsome stars" especially #4 or #3. Other Earth factors includes …

  3. Dear Silvia, I understand your problem. It is currently difficult to have FS onsite consultation in Italy other than to source for the nearest neighours such the UK. At the moment, I believe there is no other choice but to use offsite consultation services. If you a sketch of how your `L shaped' house and need to find the centrepoint... feel free to upload to this forum i.e. The conference for attaching layout. For your information, we are currently collaborating on an the Italian version of GEOMANCY.NET run by reputable professionals who is also one of my students. More details in the future.. 4. Dear Viren, In my opinion, it is best to relook at your Marketing and Sales strategy, first. Here, `packaging' of your product and how it can achieve sales through the distribution channels. As Feng Shui or Chinese divinity methods, emcompass a wide field especially for a company. It is harder to apply Feng Shui or Chinese divinity methods as a full scale of methods i.e. depth and breath may have to be used such as analysis of : owner(s); the company's location; the owner(s) Pillars; the owner's home. In fact, a whole barrage of Feng Shui and Chinese divinity methods may have to be used in a holistic way in order to improve one's `luck' or the company's luck. What I feel…

Dear Anon, Perhaps, it would be more convenient to do a search e.g. under Yahoo.com and type in Feng Shui emporium ... I believe it is much easier to buy it from the internet especially in your part of the country. In my country, there are plentiful shops by the dozen scattered in my locations. Dear Anon, It is interesting to find out the survey results under http://www.geomancy.net/polls/ for this poll under the above link:- Are you comfortable sleeping facing a TV set (mirror)? A short simple 3 questions survey. (The third last poll) One can find that not all of us are `affected' by mirror facing the bed. However, one simple method is to either use opaque film over the mirror or place paper over the mirror e.g. tape plain paper over it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear James, 1. In my opinion, the biggest influence in the home (`Earth' luck) relates more to the external environment, the site and the home. 2. Usually, other than the external environment and the site, the next important consideration is the (entire house). 3. Therefore; even if you had rented a room, it is but of secondary importance as the whole house has to be related to. 4. What I am trying or hoping to emphaise here is that your room is but just one sector of the whole house. 5. Usually, a full house is audited and checked for any imbalances (if any) within each sector. If there are any imbalance, then it should be `cured'. Say, after applying the cure for that s…

Dear Yang Ming, Under the Eight House theory:- 1. How suitable is the house? Often, if `death or disaster' sector is at the main entrance for the breadwinner, this is already considered like the breadwinner having a `fractured' arm. 2. If the house also has a toilet at the centre of the house; then these are more leaks. More leaks translate to something like: a fractured arm to an `amputated leg'. 3. It is thus more important to understand all these. 4. In addition, under the Eight House, it is better to sleep in a good sector and nice to have sleeping with the head facing a good direction. 5. Other than the above, there is nothing magic about the Eight House. It has it's…

Dear Vun Fook, For water positions: 1. Particularly for Period 7 homes, where there is double #7's under Period 8 (due soon), water positions can be used, here. 2. For example, for N2 (352.5 to 7.4) and N3 (7.5 to 22.4) which has double 7's at it's facing direction, unlike, your case where you want to enhance #6 strong metal(s) with water, water positions at Period 8 "bad metal sector 7" should be used to "drown" or neutralise the #7. 3. For some homes, the alternative may be to see if it is better to change to Period 8. (This depends on the interior layout and the Period 8 N2 or N3 star chart). 1. Therefore, it may not be totally true or 100 percent true for all…

Dear Anon, 1. In general, it is best to determine which location is the kitchen in? 1.1 If the kitchen is located at the South (compass direction); then overall, a stove/cooker is able to face a water position. The consideration here is that South = Fire element and a stove/cooker can face a water position (to cool down the `south' / fire sector). 1.2 But if the kitchen is at the North (compass direction): then it is advisable as the Feng Shui book suggest; not to let the stove/cooker face the water position. Here, since North = water (the fire of the stove/cooker can easily be `extinguished'. For other sectors, in my opinion, if there is not much choice, Para 1.1 can st…

Dear Joan, 1. Actually, there isn't anything too major to be overly concerned with. But definately, keeping the door and toilet bowl close is good enough solution for this. 2. Does your house have a final door before it goes to the yard or common area. Usually if this door will be considered the final extend of your house area. If not, then it is not really considered part of the house area. 3. Under the water classic, it is auspicious to see water flowing in the home. For the back, you must make sure that anywhere from your backyard you should not see any open drain to back house. 4. If you do not see it then it is not a problem. If you do, then if possible …

Dear Kaushal, Currently, since this is period 7 (1984 to 2003), #7 is considered OK or acceptable. When one looks at a sector, I usually look at all three #'s (as u mentioned, the # on the right, the # on the left and the base no.). This is where, the mountain #, the water # is looked at in relation to the base no. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kok Seng, If you have a relatively large garden or a garden cum car-park, then, see if you have a sufficient wall e.g. a brick wall to shield your home from this "T" junction. The other alternative is if allowed, often, the exterior of your home has some plants or bush such as a garden balcony attached to your brick wall. Or, have plants to help shield your home from this Sha Qi. Hopefully, your main door cannot be directly seen from this "sha qi". If so, the tradition, is to place a ba gua mirror above the main door or the windows facing this `threat'. Apply proper Feng Shui to: 1. fix leaks - if any in a home 2. enhance using both Shapes and Forms and Flying s…

Dear Lupi, Please see below:- Basically, Pillars of Destiny takes into account: Heavenly stems and earthly branches. For example, what is looked at is a person's Year, Month, Day and Hour of birth. In the above, each of these periods Year / Month / Day and Hour is considered a pillar each. Thus, there are 4 Pillars : Year Pillar; Month Pillar; Day Pillar and Hour Pillar. Withing each pillar, there is the earthly branch and heavenly stems. Thus this would make up `Eight Characters' or 4 pillars x 2 (1 earthly branch & 1 heavenly stem each). Pillars of Destiny takes into consideration the interaction of all eight characters. Of which, the main influence is due to: 1…

Dear Grace, 1. Chinese Astrology signs:- a. 27 Jan 1971 to 14 Feb 1972 = Year of the Metal Pig. b. 17 Feb 1969 to 5 Feb 1970 = Year of the Earth Rooster. 2. Under the Chinese Astrology, the Pig is more compatible (excellent) match with the animal sign of the RAM (2003). 3. For the Year of the Horse, both the Pig and the Rooster has to be more understanding and tolerant of the Horse sign. 4. In my opinion, under Ba Zi (Pillars of Destiny) - the Year and Day of birth are considered important for `compatibility' purposes. Thus, even if say one is thinking of having a child (in a year); it boils down to not only the Year of birth but on which day, the child is also born. Thes…

  20. Dear Vincent, I would agree with you that central palace could most likely still be a Period 7 especially if there is no major renovations done on or after CNY 2004. For example, if you had not done any major renovations or if the existing owners did not do any major renovations; or if there are no major renovations done on the external also, then normally it is best to consider your home as a Period 7. However, after taking over the apartment this year, if you had done a major renovation, then your apartment can be considered as a Period 8. In my opinion, if you did not do a major renovation, it should be considered as a Period 7 analysis. Early this year, there we…

Dear Robin, First of all, a warm welcome to this forum. Feel free to check back past messages which I believe, would help to understand Traditional Feng Shui. 1. The key essence of a good Feng Shui house is based on Shapes and Form School. 2. In order to achieve a quantum Leap in Feng Shui and not entangled under a vicious cycle of `poor' Feng Shui is to look at how a piece of land (it can be the entire neighbourhood) and your specific piece of land can be seen to be able to accumulate wealth. 3. Here, for example, even before one builds a home on the land, a competent FS practitioner is sought to advise on the piece of land and plot where a house can be constructed which…

Dear Rose, Generally, for house number there is very little you can do as I believe no one can just change a number just like that. However, from what you have described, it would seem that the Flying Star of your house at one of the key sectors (either main door, bedroom where you and your husband sleep, or a room where you and your husband spends a great deal of time in) contains combinations of two stars which results in robbery etc. Generally, in order to cure the problem you need to know what is the cause. Without it, it is difficult to advice you how to cure the problem or make improvements to the home. If the problems lies with the Flying star applying the …

Dear Evelyn, With the little information provided, it is difficult for me to give you proper advise. Usually, if one practises or applies sector Feng Shui; may have to use personal feelings i.e. not because; of `Feng Shui' related reasons but simply because one `fell in love' with an object of decoration e.g. metal windchime and wants to place it. Here, one may have to use personal feelings to see where it can be placed in the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, Frankly, I would have to say, it depends! For a N3, P7 home, do check where are the activity rooms e.g. living or family rooms. If they are located at the back of this home, then, it is ok to keep to P7. However, the current P7 home has inauspicious #2 and #3 with #7 at the centrepoint of the home, thus is reflective of loss of wealth and sickness within the home. One may have to either consider changing to P8 or look at changing the main door direction to a N1 home (depending on the situation). Like I mentioned, more investigations should be made, first. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Becky, 1. Yes, you brought up a good point. Often, you will see Feng Shui practitioners analysing a birth chart of a house. Without due consideration of e.g. two parties (husband and wife) sharing a room. 2. Please check out this url:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/cmplist-comparison-pillars-rep.htm 3. This sample report gives a comparison of e.g. husband (strong metal) and wife (weak wood). The binding elements to get the two parties to be compatible or reduce conflict is Water element. 4. Thus, this is known as the `binding' element. And it is recommended that for the bedroom of the two persons; we can use the binding element of water. And if they ow…
