Dear Anon, Please see below:- Yes, this is a contributing factor. You are correctly. Most likely you have at least two or more major leaks especially leaks involving Shapes and Forms in your present home. If you can scan or draw a sketch of your layout plan with furniture, feel free to post it to this forum to me to make comments to throw light to your present situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. In your situation, you should use Period 7 instead of Period 6. 2. The rationale is because; the convenience store is considered as the `heart' of the gas station. As it commands central focus and where human activity centres e.g. billing office, cashiers' counter and some customers walk up to this place. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jen, 1. I can quite imagine that your front door and frame is indeed contrasting. 2. From a cultural point of view, Chinese do not like contrasting colours. Especially if the contrasting colour takes on to them an inauspicious `statement': 2.1 In the west white is associated purity e.g. a white wedding grown. 2.2 Under the Five Elements, Metal (white) is also associated with purity. And if we look at a Chinese Luopan closely, it looks similar to your main door but in reverse: The outer square of the Chinese Luo pan is painted red. This outer square represents the earth. If we look carefully at the inner circle plate: (circle represents metal) And this plate is rep…

Dear Anon, 1. Under the Five Elements concept, crystals are usually considered as belonging to the earth element. The basis for this rationale is because, crystals come from the earth. 2. It would not be prudent to hang too many crystals in the house. The `natural' way is the use of chanderliers with glass crystals. This would be the best method without drawing too much `unsightly' attention. 3. Placing crystals at East and South can be a double edged sword as they are made of earth. 4. We should not be placing or hanging crystals all over the place especially if that location has no lighting. Without light to pass thru the crystal, it has no use at all. 5. Furthermore, h…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- This Lunar Year until last day of January 2003; the Grand Duke of Jupiter is located at 180 degrees South. Next year he is located at 220 degrees South. During this period, a sector known as the Three Killings is opposite the Grand Duke. For example, if South is Fire Horse, than North is the Water Rat. During this period it is advisable not to disturb North since this is the three killings location as one may have bad luck for several years. There can be two issues:- 1. Make sure that if you are distrubing earth, avoid doing it especially at South sector of the house. As this is akin of disturbing the Grand Duke. 2. For a period 7 h…

Dear Pat, 1. First, try to determine what are you trying to access? 2. Is it the interior of the home or simply the land? 3. To do either one, please check out this link, first:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm 4. Based on your feedback, a major renovation has been done somewhere around 1980's. Since you have the loan documents, try to determine exactly the date. If the renovations was completed prior to 1984 (lunar calendar) than you should use Period 6 to assess the interior of your home i.e. checking out the Flying Star numbers in each sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Anon, In Geomancy.net, there are free tools on Flying Star Feng Shui. Flying Star comes in two dimensions: A. Horizontal Flying Star or Xuan Kong Feng Shui. At http://www.geomancy.net main page, you can use the SEARCH feature and you can find many resources on it. B. Vertical Flying Star House Number for Apartments This free analysis can be found under http://www.geomancy-online.com I sincerely hope all users in this forum be more `pro-active' in their quest for knowledge. I personally feel knowledge is not gained merely by `spoon feeding' but rather, simple tools like SEARCH or even SEARCH using search engines such as yahoo.com or google.com will usually yield resu…

Dear Kwan, 1. I always recommend that one should find out more about each concept using a simple 3 step approach:- Step 1: What is the purpose of each concept? Step 2: What are it's strengths? Step 3: What are it's weakness? 2. For a start, it is always prudent to do some research into the topics: Eight House Flying Star 3. In my opinion, there are already lots of responses to the same question that you had posted. And the many of the past responses deal with such questions. 4. There is no floor plan attached. But appreciate if you can understand that the main aim of this forum is to act as a catalyst and not for everyone to simply post their date of birth. 5. I hope tha…

Dear Anon, 1. Usually, one `leak' is not as serious. But, if there are multiple leaks, than there is cause for concern. 2. Given your general statement, it is difficult to give you a `return' reply. As each situation is different. 3. Some of the questions you can ask yourself (if they are confidential to you):- 3.1 How many years have I stayed here? Or I have recently moved-in? If one has stayed for many years in the house, then, one can fall back to our personal experience. 3.2 How is my finance? If both para 3.1 and 3.2 are OK, then there should not be a need to worry about the slope. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janna, Information Technology and Country Classification 1. Info Technology In developed countries or countries with high GDP (especially the US); many of it's business and citizens are plugged into the knowledge economy and the internet. In many of these countries, the ratio of Personal computers (PCs) are high in relation to it's population. It can be as high as 3 or 5 persons to 1 pc. 2. Current Info Technology's disadvantage is that current multimedia has not caught up with the speed of delivery / privacy of multi media content. 2.1 Thus, it is currently not practical to have smart face reading technologies etc... 2.2 Presently in developed countries, many of th…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, lighting and also music (from Hi Fi or from TV/cable set can help increase the yang energy. (This is not meant at you but it is interesting to note " Music soothe the savage soul ". Classics like Vivaldi 4 seasons etc.. " can have a calming efect.) And in the day, if you do not mind pop or just simply listen to the radio all day can help the mind at ease. Tune in stations where the presenter or a pair of presenters chalk up interesting converstations. 2. Frankly, it is good for you if you have mobility to move around outside of the house e.g. window shoping or just spent time outside or some heathly gardening. 3. However, if one is in-mobibl…

Dear Cecil, I am visiting your site after a long time and I like the new look - it's great. I need your excellent advice on a number of queries. Please do advise on all - I would be most grateful. # All of last year, I have had a 5 metal rod wind chime up in the E part of my house. It hangs in the small space behind the sliding windows. Do I have to shift it to another sector this year? # Also, because of exposure to sun and rain, the threads holding the rods broke. So I refixed the rods and hung it up again. This is not any problem? Please also advise on these: # My sister loves bougainvillea plants and there are two of them in our E sector. She plans to shift one to th…

Dear Janna, 1. I understand that you are from Moscow, Russia. 2. If one notice carefully, each country has it's distintive cluster of developments. 3. For example, in Singapore and Hong Kong, many Feng Shui practitioners specialise in high rise buildings: commercial, industrial and apartments. 4. For example, in Singapore, approximately 85 percent of the entire population of 4 million people in Singapore live in government subsidised housing. This statutory board is called Housing and Development Board or HDB for short. 5. Therefore, many local practitioners see more (assessment of high rise buildings than say landed property). 6. Similarly, in Taiwan and even in Malaysi…

Dear Janna, The key success factor here is to make sure that one is very well versed in the Five elements concept. And also use another tool of Flying Star Feng Shui: the Eighty-One combinations interpretations. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vivi, 1. My earlier comments are very general. 2. In my opinion, the statement has to do more with my personal preference. 3. Actually, black represents the water element. (Water element is either blue, black or grey). 4. In general, since water element does not increase or aid bad earth sickness elements. As compared to yellow or fire element. Especially yellow / beige. Particularly for houses under Period 7. And bedrooms are especially in the EAST. And in some layouts, South is equally inauspicious. 5. In my entire life, I have never used black pillows, therefore, have not considered using it in the future. Personally, I do not mind driving a black car, but, not us…

Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, this is known as the `coffin' position. This is actually where a dead person was brought home into the home and his/her dead body would face a door. (Really to be carried away) when the funeral possession starts. This is not exactly an `exciting' location to be in. Warmest Regars, Cecil

Dear Dagne, 1. I believe you are referring to the Luck Periods under your personal Ba Zi. 2. For professional Feng Shui assessment, such luck period are looked at together with your birth element and strength. 3. The factors under 2, are taken when the house Feng Shui, exterior and interior are assessed. 4. Under Para 2 above, if your Ba Zi luck periods are no good, and especially if your house Feng Shui is not good either; this is like a vicious cycle of problems. 5. And I personally believe, your present home has at least 2 major leaks. The most common are:- 5.1 Toilets at wrong locations 5.2 Odd shaped / house with missing corners 5.3 House does not match the ba zi of…

Dear Anon, 1. I would like to help but, such questions are too general. 2. It is preferred that such questions come with at least a reasonable sketch of the surrounding or set of pictures. 3. Since, nowadays, many users have digital cameras. Please try to resize it smaller. 4. Otherwise, I hope u can understand that it is very diffcult to give concrete replies. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Marjorie, 1. For those who are family with fixed template models with characteristis such as Fame / Travel etc... 2. Authentic Traditional Feng Shui sites like this does not use such `Ba gua models'. 3. For those who are new, can check out some of the older links:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm 4. This link helps you when you are using an ordinary compass:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm 5. Overall, it is very difficult to comment on just a few general sentences. But, in general, a water position directly behind the house usually services as a `handicap' or a single leak. 6. If there are more `leaks' in the home, then, it usually p…

Dear Lia, 1. Yes, you have brought up a very good question. 2. However, the Key Success Factor here is to take The Five Elements Concept to a higher step. 3. Hint: It has to do more with the concept of Strong or Weak. 4. Drawing a parallel, in Ba Zi, one must ensure that one get one's element not only correct but also whether it is `strong' or `weak'. 5. Unfortunately, for Xuan Kong or Flying Star Theory, many of the bad earth belong to the Strong Element. 6. For example #2 and #5 are strong earth element. 7. When countering strong earth, one should where possible avoid wood element. 8. No doubt, wood is acceptable to destroy weak earth. But it is not a good solution to d…

Dear All, 1. Please note that this is not Feng Shui. 2. However, this is one of favourite movies that has a good story, casts and significance/meaning to life. An inspirational show that includes Steven Segal (but briefly) 3. I searched yahoo.com and came up with a site that has a review of the show "Executive decision " by Warner Bros. There is a review at this site of this movie (DVD version):- http://www.all-reviews.com/videos-2/executive-decision.htm Warmest Regards, Cecil
