  1. Started by myfs_54668,

House is in very good condition, just appraised for 160,000. I am weak water and try to enhance and make stronger, could I have inadvertely added to much water? Things in this house relating to water can be fixed by a professional and not long after they break again, just wondering what underlying situation is causing all this. thanks so much, I know my questions can sometimes seem silly, I appreciate your advice.

I have a similar problem. My best direction is east (3), but there is not really enough room in the bedroom to do this (leaves only about 15 inches to walk at the foot of the bed). Room is n-s longest, but window is on north, where head of bed would go; master bath is on south wall; built in closet on west wall. How do I remedy north head of bed? Or should I just remedy the small walking space at the foot of the bed, with head of the bed east instead?

  3. Dear Max, Usually, there is no issue of a wooden door (stained in any of the wood grain colour i.e. walnut, rosewood, teak etc...) But if the main entrance is under some threat, then it would depend on what type of threat. Since there are so many different types of threat, it is difficult to give you all the answers. But, here, it is best to determine what element the threat comes from. And use a controlling element to control it. (If possible). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In my opinion, there should not be an issue here. Usually, it would not be good the "opposite way" i.e. to have the master bedroom below a far worse situation i.e. a toilet bowl directly above, say the master bedroom bed. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ling Tien, Please refer to attachment on poison arrow(s) aimed at the body in the bedroom:- 1. Because of the pointed corners, yes, there are two sets of poison arrows aimed at your bed. 2. The pointed arrows are:- From marking A to B and another poison arrow is from marking C to D 3. Markings A to B and C to D 3.1 Based on your diagram, the pointed arrow C to D don't seem to be a major threat for two reasons:- 3.1.1 It seems to aim at the least vulnerable part of the body i.e. the legs. 3.1.2 The markings A to B would have a major impact on the body due to the poison arrow aiming at the body. Please see below:- If it is a toilet, and if there are no other toil…

Dear Cecil, I thank you for your quick response. I did take note of your 2 sets of illustrations and the frontage of the lot and did understand that acceptable does not mean favorable. I was relieved when I tumbled to your website and to see the illustrations in your Chapter 10 - that narrower front/wider back w/ front house facing narrow front is not categorized as unfavorable like the one book I read. That book does make the distinction. It presents such a lot as unfavorable but it does draw a house sitting right along the narrow front ie. along the street. Would you please explain a little more on this frontage relation to the trapezoid (item 6.4 above of your reply) …

Dear Anon, Yes, imagine standing as the stove. The direction the stove faces is the direction it is facing. Thus if the stove is exactly located at WEST, it is facing EAST. This is in-line with your understanding. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Julianna, 1. You can generate free reports: "What is my Gua (Kua) number" and also the "Eight House Report" to find out the Gua number for anyone born after 2000. 2. In my book " Applied Feng Shui", there are three methods that gives the same answer to the calculation of Gua before or after 2000. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned earlier, I did a SEARCH under this forum for: Romance interpreation And found this old forum message:- Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Topics) on Friday, March 10, 2000 02:15 AM Dear Anon, The Flying Star has: 1. The Base Star. 2. The Water and Mountain Stars. Glyn correctly pointed out that the Base Number #8 (North East, Weak Earth) is correct to represents Romance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Under the `81' interpretations: Mountain Star #1 and Water Star #4 which is similar to Mountain Star #4 and Water Star #1 signifies the following:- "Successful sales, become famous,…

Dear Anon, As mentioned in my earlier forum message, there is no advantage in displaying a Chinese coin sword. Unless, one wants to use it to offer protection - from e.g. the underworld or from ghosts or spirits. Keeping it in a drawer or wrapping it in e.g. newspaper and keeping is fine. Not necessary to `throw it away'. Displaying it without a purpose may inadvertently create family disputes or quarrels. A while back, I mentioned that it is also a disadvantage to display a pair of kirin inside or just outside the house. This will affect harmony in a family. For door guards, such as a pair of lions, it is still ok, so long as it faces outwards plus, it is plumb and prefe…

Eear Alicia, Please see below:- As spoken, last week. The best height is 110cm (first choice). The next best choice if you want it close the the headboard measurement is 104.5cm. If you want it higher, 43 inches is acceptable. But not necessarily too high. Warmest Regards, Cecil

My main entrance door faces my sliding doors to the back of the house as you enter. Is it true that I must put a mirror on the back sliding doors so that good chi that enters through the front does not escape through the back doors? Thank you.

Dear Miriam, In my earlier e-mail, I mentioned that this may not be a `luxury' for many of us. For example, when we do a survey or an audit for a company; if it is a reasonably large business that may occupy an entire floor or many floors; a professional geomancer looks at: 1. Since the entire floor is empty; the best location can be chosen for say the CEO and his/her deputies anywhere on a floor. This selection takes into account factors like Flying Star of the entire floor or a 360 degree analysis of the entire floor. And the same goes for crucial areas such as Reception, Marketing/Sales, R and D, Board room, Finance/Accounts, etc... The purpose is to try to fit variou…

The Three popular figurines that come as a set are: Fu (Prosperity) Lu (Luck) Shou (Longevity Some pictures of each of these symbols are found here:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=prosperity&cat=all&bool=and&x=12&y=14 The rationale for an inverted " Prosperity/wealth" is symbolic. Since Fu (prosperity is inverted) it implies that you are pouring wealth downwards. And since, some homes place this inside their main entrance: it literally means prosperity (wealth) is pouring down e.g. from heaven to earth. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If you are applying the Eight House than, you have to use South West (the door to get into your apartment). I like to clarify that if you are using another theory i.e Flying Star and wanting to place water features or mountain support, it is best to use the frontage of the building. A good example is that under such a situation, if say metal elements are detected at the frontage of the building, it is a good candidate for a water feature. Since you do not `own' the exterior of the building, even when you apply Flying Star Feng Shui, best to use say South West or the interior of your home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tien Sze, 1. Before I answer your question, usually if a company hires us (geomancers) to do an audit, our first priority is to get the location for important areas e.g. reception, meeting room and CEO's office Feng Shuied to an optimium level. This usually also includes the location for Marketing/Sales and Finance/Accounting. 2. I can understand your constraint in that other than the CEO, or some Senior Managers, it is quite hard to change the direction of one's work area especially in an open office or if the building has a certain layout. 3. In quite alot of the messages posted under this forum, it is good to ponder over Three questions: 3.1. What is the aim or pu…

Dear Gwen Bui, Thank you for your layout plan. Please see below:- Please see attached illustration with the Shape of your house. So far, the Shape looks rectangular. The main concern is the toilet at the frontage of the house. And this is where, you should not make the garage door as your symbolic main entrance door. In my opinion, your two-sided stairway does not seem to pose any major problems since there is a lift landing upstairs. A two-sided stairway is in my opinion, very inauspicious if it is at the frontage of the house. Where, the two sets of steps join /meet together to the main entrance door. Also, from the layout plan, the front side of the stairwa…

Dear Anon, Honestly, since this is already in the past i.e. the move-in date, in my opinion, there is not much one can undo or go back to the start. However, if you do have a religion or an altar, then, offer some prayers. If you do not have this but, can instead:- a. purchase a few lime (or last resort lemon), cut the lime into two pieces. b. Purchase also flowers e.g. rose, c.then pour tap water into a clean wash basin container (3 quarters or nearly full) d. place the cut half-lime and flowers into the bowl. e. bath first. And once completed bathing, pour the water with lime/flower onto your head. Moving your hands from the front to the top of your head. f. Afterward…

Dear Anon, It is best for a toilet to have some qualities of `Yang'. For example, it should be (if can be bright - especially use tiles / porcelain bowl/accessories that are not too dark colored.) Where possible, it should be dry. Thus more Yang than yin. In the toilet, there is frankly, not much one can engergise it. Under the eight aspirations or life aspirations, SW = romance. This theory is too general to be of use to most of us. Reference material for yin and yang concept: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-yinyang.htm Under Feng Shui, other than applying Yin and Yang concept, the next proper way of applying enhancements or cures is thru the Five Elements…

  23. Dear Cecil, I mean 6-7-5 (i.e Earth Base-Facing Star-Mountain Star, in this order, for example). If one cannot move out of this place of 6 and 7 combination (although that is the ideal), can you help me know what artifacts one can use to remedy(cure) this loss making(destructive) interaction. I broadly know that as per the "Productive and Destructive Cycle", that Water elements and Wood Elements should be used to dissipate the energy of these metal stars. But, I don't know what effective artificats / cures will really work. Can you help. Regards, A.Vincent

Dear Alejandra, Thank you for your question. It has to do with the concept of wealth collection. In general, an elevated land (on one side) is not as favourable as a depression. In many instances, the word elevation / or depression may be exaggerated. In many cases, they are gentle to the eye. Only on closer evaluation, does one notice the elevation or depression. A depression is preferred over an elevation. Under Shapes and Forms, a depression would suggest `wealth' retention. This is not the same as a physical building that is taller than the other. A building can be taller or lower than another building but, in such situations, there is no mention of how it sits on a l…
