  1. Dear Anon, Usually, when placing windchimes the most important question asked is: 1. I am placing a windchime simply for the `love' (enjoyment) of it or 2. I am placing one or more windchimes because I read that it is good to have windchimes. If it is Para 1, usually a single windchime should not be a problem and if one usually go with our feelings, and place it at a location, one is comfortable with then there is not much issue here. (Unless, it happens to be one of the `bad' sectors where metal should not be used. For example, under Feng Shui, one should do a Flying Star analysis especially one is placing a metallic wind chime at the NW and West sector (which are Metal …

Dear Lian Seng, Please see below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: "free-advice Listmanager" To: Sent: Monday, July 24, 2000 12:28 PM Subject: Placing a wind chime You have asked how to determine when to place a wind chime. It is good to analyse the house by doing a Flying Star analysis and then checking to see if a wind chime is `suitable'. Here, the type of material used and equally color of the wind chime should also be considered. For example, if the wind chime is colored red, or in a triangle shape, (depending on the overall shape) it could mean that it has the fire element. Frankly, it is hard for me to comment on your situation as mentioned above, it woul…

Dear MK, In my opinion, the balcony is not the best place to place an altar - especially if it is subject to the elements (e.g. rain or direct sunlight). For plants, there is often no specific plant but rather, for indoor plants often, they should have "waxy" leaves and darker green colour. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, There is a logical reason why anything higher than a side table is not advisable. This is because if you look at the shelf at the side, the scorner closer to the bed will form a poison arrow which cuts into the bed. Since both side cuts into the bed, it is like an X. Which is bad feng shui. So not recommended. Even if you replaced it with a table, the same effect will be created unless you ensure that where you sit the poison arrow will not cut you. And/or at least if the corners are rounded, then not as bad. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, I have friends who have a similar chair as yours. It is ok to place it at your entrance area or in the living room area. - If it is placed at the entrance area, it is best to place it facing the main entrance. - If it is in the living room area, best to place if facing `out' e.g. facing a window or door. This is still acceptable. Although my preference is that it is placed at the entrance area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Harriet, Initially, you can use the Eight House Template to "map out" your rooms to check which sectors are auspicious or inauspicious. You can either use the web based html format at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm or Sign up for a free account at www.geomancy-online.com to create your Eight House Template. You can then check whether there is any inauspicious influences on the sector of the room. The Eight House can only check for the above and this is where it ends. This is because the Eight House Theory of auspicious or inauspicious influences does not take into consideration the Five Elements concept. Serious investigative work would include using the Flyin…

Click this link to view pictures of the God of Wealth Did you see the various views of a bronze God of Wealth in the above link? Did you see the God of Wealth riding a tiger and holding a tael of gold, ingot? Does the God of Wealth look `fierce'? Dear Dylan, 1. It is quite common to find such bronze statute i.e. of the God of Wealth, sitting on a tiger. 2. Frankly, I do not see any problems with such a statute. Firstly, usually this figurine is small and the main `character' is the God of Wealth. 3. Symbolically, since he rides on the tiger, the Tiger can be considered as `tamed' by him. 4. Although this is not Feng Shui belief, ideally, it should be `accorded' the respe…

  13. Dear Daniel, Daniel Ho wrote: I got a Solid Bronze Prosperity Pig with Gold Ingots and Jeweled Necklace and would to place it in my office desk for Wealth Luck. It is more about good location of the home/office, favourable colour scheme to balance up the room or your individual ba zi, best sitting/work/sleeping positionetc. Thus, a person luck is affected by the Heaven, Earth and Human Luck. Heaven Luck is luck that is given to you. Which is usually assesed by the ba zi to tell you what colours, what facing, and how to harmonise with another person. Earth Luck is your home/office. Dear Flemming, 1. It depends. Most and foremost, one has to look at the layout plan of the interior of the house. 2. Often, since the living room and dining room are close or next to each other, the placement of the sofa has to be looked into under the context of the living room vs dining room. 3. Often, it is good to create two symbolic rectangles between the living room and dining room area. 4. Factors like the shape of the living/dinning room should be looked into closely. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mr, Lee. I always think sword can protect someone from bad spirits. Most of all, I practice Kung Fu. Is it bad to hang swords in the living room or inside the garage? I have a Japanese sword hanging above the fire place in my living room. It is also facing my kitchen stove. Is this bad feng shui? I also have4 Chinese swords (one without the case ) hanging next to the garage door. Is this bad also? Thank you for advise.

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Facing `West' is considered more a `nice-to-have'. It is nice to face West but priority must be given to say spending time at a good sector. If your body and say the legs can be seen from the main door e.g. parallel to it; this is known as the `coffin' position. And considered inauspicious under Shapes and Form Feng Shui Shui. If this is the bedroom ideally not to use plants especially life plants. As plants grown and they are considered `more yang' engergy. Which is not so good. It also depends on how far this is this protusion. If the protusion is not aimed at any part of the body (on the bed) this is fine. Some users here, have ind…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. The concept of : "If it ain't broken, don't fix-it!". 1.1. The idea is that if one generally doing fine; and has been staying in an existing home; and only due to one's itchy fingers; got advise to move the bed; 1.2. If so, leave it as it is. 2. Sleeping under the "coffin" position concept. 2.1. 1. To help you better understand; there are three kinds of luck. 2. Under the Chinese system; it can be coined as "The Holy Trinity of Luck". 3. What is the Holy Trinity of Luck? 4. In the Chinese system; it consists of: a. Heaven Luck = born with. b. Earth Luck = Feng Shui of your home & (also time spent) in the office c. Human or Man Luck = family relationship + support + bonding. 5. As you can see above; each of the above only contributes 33.3333% each to one's luck. 6. Frankly, so far; very few persons check their ba zi before purchasing a home. 7. In fact as mentioned; above buying a home as falls under the term "Earth Luck". 8. We can also say that Earth Luck wh…

Dear Rose, If one is applying Ba Zi to look at how suitable a job is, then it depends on one's birth element and strength. Ba Zi will determine e.g. weak or strong earth Then with this information, it will come out with: Career associated with wealth Career associated with power and authority Careers that are suitable, but not leading to great wealth These are the guidlines that a ba zi analysis can provide on the above. Since no two person's ba zi are identical, it thus depends on one's element and strength: strong/weak : metal , water, wood, fire, earth element(s). Warmest Regards, Cecil

You wrote: "We have decided to sell this house and go to a new house, due to the above issues and my son has no friends in the current location.what do you suggest? Do you suggest me to sell this house and go to some other house ?" We have to be equally logical about it. The rationale is because, there is no other alternative home to compare with. If the new home turns out well; then it is good. But, what happens if the new (be it new or resale) home has "equal" or worst issues than this? Thus, as it is; this is no other comparison between your existing home vs some other home(s).

Dear Anon, Small plants should generally be treated as part of the interior decor. For larger plants etc... it is good to look at each sector under the Flying star Feng Shui. For example, if the location has say an auspicious #8 either mountain star or water star or both; it is not favourable to place large plants at these sectors. Since wood (imagine it's roots crushing into the earth) Warmest Regards, Cecil

A water feature with specific number of fishes especially "GOLD" fish : 7 gold-fish and 1 black gold fish is used to disarm bad qi areas that has either #5 or if there is a lamp post facing a window of a home and this is or was used to that effect. 2.2.
