Frankly Feng Shui cannot be done by remote control. Thus, you are correct to do a Feng Shui of your condo since primarily this is your abode (home). While the other address is a "depository". In addition, if it ain't broken, don't need to fix it, does apply.

Dear Kaushal, 1. Yes, some families use incense e.g. on a specific day of the week in their home. 2. Overall, it is not compulsory to use them especially if the air nearby is `clean' especially, if one lives in a landed property and there are trees or parks nearby. 3. There are `antiseptic' cleaners especially those used at hospitals for those who believe in them. Or the regular Dettol where a few drops are added to the pail of water. 4. The best `defense'is still living in a area (where possible) with clean surroundings. At home, try to ensure that the house has natural lighting and looks `bright'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Thanh, I personally feel that it would be a good idea on your part to include a small water fountain in your facial room. This is because this is a place of business and I personally find the `soothing sound' of water flowing...more for relaxing and rest.. Unlike in a bedroom where it should not be there. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Diana, Under the Eight House Theory, it is good to learn that the house is considered suitable for your husband. Especially if he is the breadwinner. One should not be too concerned if the main door is not as auspicious for the rest of the family members. Please note that, under the Eight House Theory, one should try to spend more time at a good sector (in the home). There should not be much concern if one does not spent too much time at a specific sector. Consideration should be given to which rooms each family member stays in. Please see below:- This is OK especially if your husband is the breadwinner. It does not matter even if it is an auspicious sector.…

Further to what I mentioned, we should not succumb to two situations:- 1. Auto-suggestion If we were to scold a donkey "stupid", the animal would not have this thought. But if we were to scold a child, often enough that he/she is "stupid" one day, the child may take on this unfortunate circumstances. 2. Self-fulfilling Prophecy If we think too much or fear too much, as a result, we may become as it is or `like that' or everthing can go wrong, it will! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Guest, From a "Commonsense approach to Feng Shui" ideally, bedrooms should not be located at the centrepoint of the home: 1. Firstly, if none of the walls share an external wall, this often suggest that the middle room is "at the mercy" of open windows or it is quite difficult or harder for air flow to circulate to the centre or middle of the room. And most likely, there are "dead qi" around this area - if no proper ventilation. 2. Fire safety This is not so much of Feng Shui but as many of us are aware, if or should a real fire occur, most likely, the middle room could be engulfed with smoke. And not only this, rescue attempts or even planned escape is much hard…

Dear Yang Ming, Usually most house plans have both the individual layout plans and more importantly the site/plot plans. Most of the site/plot plans will have the North-South orientation. Here, we can use a protractor to measure the inclination of the house i.e. North/South -- East/West and then superimpose this grid to the layout plan. Here, one can orientate the individual layout plan to this larger site/plot plan. We can then have a `rough' or if done correctly a good `estimate' of the compass direction e.g. the main entrance door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Besides the layout plan; another most important element is the flow of qi - into the house. 2. if there is a relatively clean / unpolluted lake, often, this is a plus point for various reasons. 3. A lake, close-by will often have another `secret' weapon in Feng Shui: trees and plants. And often, with such ecology; it will sustain life (animals or insects). And in many countries, some of these lakes are water catchment areas. 4. Thus, it may not be unnecessarily bad for a lake. 5. Sometimes, if our house has a patio or deck facing the lake; it may mean that this could instead be the frontage of the house. 6. Please note that not two situations are similar a…

I go to Europe and there are two floors. They both enter at different places; to get down stairs you have to go out side and to go upstairs you have to go outside. Kind of like this house you have to go outside to access the basement

Dear Anon, This depends really on how far apart are the two doors. If quite a distance still acceptable. If too close, the reason behind it is that conflicts will tend to arise. It sounds to me like it is a house on the opposite side of the road? Then not an issue. You could always have like some plants or fence that help to block the direct view of the door to door. But like mentioned, if it is a distance away not really an issue. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Frankly, your question is too general to `diagnose' what went wrong. Perhaps, you can be more specific in your question. For those who are new to the forum can find out more on how to get quick reply:- http://www.geomancy.net/contact/contact-forum-etiquette/contact-forum-etiquette.htm Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, and from messages received privately and thru this forum, " Sector Feng Shui " is too general to be of any use to a user. 2. In my opinion, there is therfore nothing magical about Mandarin Ducks. The only `magic' is that one's money disappears and ends up in the producer of mandarin ducks and in-between -- the other middlemen earning commission from it. 3. There are many reasons under Feng Shui for a fall in romance luck or generally - unlucky in marriage. Just to give you an example: For those who stay in a house with `large' amounts of doors (in relation to the size of the frontage). Often, many of the women in the house would remain single…

Dear Vijay, It would be great if all leaks can be penned down in one forum message. But, this is impossible to do. We have actually, made available, free resources within this site and this forum. You can always try to look at the specific forum conferences e.g. Photo tours with interests, Singapore Property etc... Alternatively, note down which topics interest you, and use the SEARCH feature under this forum to find out more. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Hanging a hulu is symbolic in nature thus brass, wood or marble are acceptable with either red or metallic looking string. The only difference is the mark-up or price to line the pocket of the seller. The saying goes, it does not matter if the hulu is made entirely of good quality jade or completely made of 999.99 percent gold etc... Here, it is only a matter of paying $$$$. "A hulu, is but only a hulu". Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Frankly, in my opinion, higher floors are often less of a concern of being "dirty". Majority of "dirty" homes are either ground floor upto usually 4 or 5th storeys high even for a weekend house. 2. Drawing a proper Flying Star chart can often hold a tell-tale sign especially if there are high concentrations of "yin" stars in a specific sector e.g. a vacant bedroom. 3. In general, if you have brought all your family members to the apartment and do check with them how they feel about the home. 4. Otherwise, get professional help from Geomaners to do a Feng Shui audit. Many of us, especially with our specialsed luo pan is able to "detect" such entities (or non-entities…

Dear Anon, For a weak metal person, the best element to increase a weak metal is the earth element. Under the productive cycle, earth is better at increasing a weak metal as compared to `adding metal to metal'. Since, Earth element is generally constantly strong throughout the year, and that too much earth may trigger bad element elements like `sickness' or `misfortune', best to confine to to occassional wearing of e.g. clothes e.g. yellow. In your case, you can wear good or silver chain. But a pink quartz has qualities of the `fire element' - pink. Such a necklace may instead control metal and may not be beneficial. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Appreciate if you can clarify whether you meant 160 degrees to the North (to the right) or 160 degrees to the North - to the left). 2. Usually, a protractor is an addition. We must need to use the magnetic or ordinary compass first to find the exact North-South bearing. And make a confirmation using the East-West. 3. Next, we need to determine the centrepoint of the house. 4. Only then we can use say the protractor to look at the layout plan. 5. Please take a look again at the sample protractor. It has an outer ring: starting from clock wise, we start from 0 degrees, to 90 degrees to 180 degrees to 270 degrees. 6. Once we align the protractor's North-South,…

Dear Cindy, When Flying Star Feng Shui is applied i.e. S2; and if your home was born or had a major renovation done between 1984 to 2003, then one should consider the various important numbers:- #8 - Current prosperity Actually, the mountain star MS#8 is directly at South while WS#8 is at the SW sector. In some homes, the gate is on the side of the home and often the front could benefit (instead) with a wall and a water postion could be determined to see if it can be at SW sector. #7 - Past prosperity but #7 became nasty in 2004. Because of the double #7's at the back of the home; if the home continues to remain as a Period 7 home, than, it would benefit from a water …

Dear Val, In my opinion, with the little information available, it is difficult for me to say exactly for sure if the house you intend to buy is good or not. As you are buying it for an investment; it will be good if the house has good/excellent Shapes and Form. And under Shapes and Form, usually the plot of land and its surroundings has to be surveyed first. After which, other Feng Shui concepts and theories should also be used to look at the interior of the home. For investment, sound financial considerations should be made such as how well the property can be rented out; its rent value etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Under the Eight House Theory, it is very common to find partners or spouse with opposite gua numbers. If let's say the bedroom is located in the North-West of the house. Since North-West location is your best sleeping position, in your case, try to sleep closer to this intangible line. While for your wife, she sleeps further or next to you (further away) from this intangible line. Here, you are like acting as a shield for your wife. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Judy, Under the Five Elements concept:- 1. Other than using colour, shapes is another consideration. 2. Thus, circle symbolises metal element. While rectangle or square represents earth. 3. Generally, white, silver, chrome or gold represents metal element. 4. If one takes a close look at a Chinese Luopan, one will notice that it is made up of an external square (represented by earth) and the inner plate is the Heaven plate. 5. The key to understanding here, is that the Heaven (Metal) plate is the key to our life. The Heaven (Metal) circular plate is akin to Heaven's Qi. The Heaven qi is used to conqueror or neutralise earth imbalances e.g. the square plate. 6. This …
