Dear Harini, You can make use of the following:- 1. How to apply the Eight House theory:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm 2. You can also make use of the free computerised report at http://www.geomancy-online.com to generate the report. Under the Eight House, it is nice to have the table facing one of your 4 good directions. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sybil, 1. In your case where the re-roofing and extended kitchen is likely to change the house from a period 6 to period 7 house. Especially if the re-roofing involves completely taking out the roof, insulation and ceiling. This will definately change it to a period 7 house. 3. In feng shui for example, if the stove faces the water position or basin, one can place a mirror on the basin side directly reflecting the stove hob to reflect the fire back to the stove. 4. Since you are not using this sector as a study room, then there is very little you can do here. I mean unless it is a study room then this education/career sector will have good influence otherwise…

Dear ashwini, For the installation of chiming clocks, it is best to use it at locations that has a cluster of bad Flying star numbers. For example, it can be used independently if one sector has either one #5 or #5 combined with other bad stars like #2, or #3 or #4. For the centre of the home where the three doors are aligned. There is no issue with a wind chime there. But in my opinion, it is more "cosmetic" than effective. But if it does help to "calm the nerves" by all means. Since many of our uncomfort is due to "worring too much". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, For sleeping position, of course it would be ideal if you can sleep in the direction of the good direction. But sometimes you can't. So most of the time as long as the bedroom sector is suitable for you, you already getting luck from a suitable sector. In addition, the shape and form placement of the bed is sometimes more important than the sleeping sector. The only time you can try to get everything done right is when you first renovate the room as only then do you have the luxuary of setting things right. Anyway, since you cannot do anything here, then what you can do is try to fix up or correct other flaws so as to compensate for this problem. Remember, that there …

Generally, there is really no issue on this. You can place it anywhere in the living room area and it will not really affect the feng shui simply because this is just a temporarily decoration for that season only. Hello, i would like to hear your advice on this home im thinking of purchasing. It's on a sloping street which is considered to be bad, so i read. But it all depends on other factors also. I would love to hear your opinions on it. I have included pictures showing a view of the house from the entrance of the driveway and doing a 360 degree to show the street. Also 2 pictures of the backyard which shows it sloping down also. Thank you!. http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/1530/67310241.jpghttp://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1950/72158514.jpghttp://img859.imageshack.us/img859/1214/32525997.jpghttp://img225.imageshack.us/img225/9968/37470096.jpghttp://img38.imageshack.us/img38/…

Dear Daren, You mentioned that your house is facing West. In all instances of West House:- W1 (247.5-262.4) - West Main Door Facing (255) W2 (262.5-277.4) - West Main Door Facing (270) W3 (277.5-292.4) - West Main Door Facing (285) In all the above instances, overall, under the Eight House, the house is considered unsuitable as it is your disaster sector. Check to see which intangible force is affecting you in your bedroom. This is an initial finding. Usually, there are other `leaks' involved and should be corrected. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Robin, The information provided is too general, it is difficult to say what is causing the problem. Under Feng Shui, usually it can be analysed using a combination of: 1. Shapes and Form with regards to Yin and Yang concept. 2. Using the Flying Star theory to find out if the room is too Yin or has Yin factors. Usually, under the Flying Star, it would have to go at least further into the Flying Star of the day or time. The situation would arise if in the day/time at the specific sector has a relatively high concentration of Yin factors. But for a layman, it would be difficult to track all these. There are also other factors such as `Sleeping problems'. 2. In a recent…

Dear Anon, Considerations when installing a fountain:- 1. A small fountain, may have to be considered as merely a decorative item. 2. A fountain should where possible, have water that splurt in and not allow water to splurt or flow out. In the earlier situation, water should be able to in. This simple concept can be seen under the following url: http://www.geomancy.net/events/Rotary_Club_FS_Talk/rc_talk_slide_28.htm In the above typical illustration:- 1. One will find that `water flows in' to a wealth or centre. 2. If one looks carefully, at the picture of the world's largest fountain i.e. Suntec City, Singapore:- 2.1 One will notice the huge metal ring which is also sym…

Dear SY Wong, In general, the best days for changes or doing things e.g. moving is either the 15th or the 1st day of any lunar month. (Note: Chinese usually avoid the 7th month.) Another method is to llok at one's Ba Zi e.g. element and strength and choose dates that auspicious to one's animal sign. Also under www.geomancy-online.com there is an Auspicious date module. Which is based on an individual's element and strength and the best dates for him/her. You can also make use of the Tung Shu or the 100 year calendar to look for auspicious dates. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Users, We are pleased to inform you that we have completed our website updates to the entire Report, Course and Book Management. We have tightly integrated all three sites under the universal management system. As our site is getting larger and larger, we have to upgrade our various management screens so that they conform to a particular standard making it easier to access and navigate between them. 1. We have extended the interactive help menu to all areas of the Universal Management to serve as a guide for you in the navigation as well as the generations of reports. This would supercede the default status which is often blocked especially for the IE browsers. 2. We…

  16. Dear Beth, Thank you for your information about yourself. To be frank, there are two considerations: 1. the office environment, may not be congenial for your type of work or 2. the job may not be suitable for yourself or may not have good support e.g. work companions. Or other aspects relating to other `sciences' such as Human Resource topics of motivation or even organization behaviour type of analysis. So far, Feng Shui is a holistic method and has several key concepts and theories and thus, at this stage it is difficult to pin-point whether Feng Shui can or cannot help in your office. For the office environment, one usually does not have any say as to the layout and ev…

Dear Yang Ming, So long as there is no direct path of `air' from the main entrance to the back, then this is not an issue. Yes a set of beads can be hung at the kitchen entrance. Usually, it should be full height or at least cover three-quarters of the length of the location it is placed at. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, You have brought up an interesting question. 1. What career suits me? Overall, in Ba Zi, there are two major types of career aspirations:- Career with wealth (either earned or unexpected) Career with power and authority. Under this category, it is interesting to note that under Ba Zi, a career associated in this field is linked more to a person who becomes a boss as opposed to working for others. Reference:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/paidreport-examples/paidreport-samples-career.htm 2. A professional look at your palm or palmistry can also look at whether you are more suited in joint ventures; working on your own or working for others. Warmest Regards, Ce…

Dear Nguyen, Please see below:- If you can attach a layout plan, I can help you confirm the direction. Under the Eight House Theory, there is no solution or cure. It is best to look at other theories e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui. Yes, she can sleep in the spook bedroom. But, for husband and wife, it is best for both of you to sleep in the same bedroom. You can sleep closer to the sector and she sleeps further away (if this is possible). I am sorry. I am confused with some of the directions you had mentioned. Perhaps, a sketch can help. Overall, it is still best to have the placement of the bed based on good shapes and forms Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Dragana, Please see below:- Given this senario, often, when one visits a so called Feng Shui website, they always sell such (commercial) things. The only difference I find between the Mandarin ducks vs the three legged toad is that: perhaps, the pair of mandarin ducks appeal more to westerners. While many Chinese: in Singapore, many of the lower (middle) income Chinese e.g. living in three or four room flats have such a three legged toad. All these are fool hardy, given that the money goes into the pocket of the seller. Frankly, should treat all these as decoration. If one likes say a painting, it can be pleasing to one's eyes. In fact, most of the material …

  22. Dear Vijay, So far, based on my personal observations, this is not a major issue. In Singapore, like anywhere else in the world, many landed properties (site) are either: 1. On the same level to the road 2. Higher than the road 3. Lower than the road Based on my personal experience, I often see many homes similar to your description ie. (para 2 type) do not encounter financial loss. Nor affect the health of the owners. But rather, more importantly, the concern is that of open drains that e.g. flow behind the house or at the side. Often, rather, if the house has a large opening e.g. sliding glass doors at the frontage with main entrance doors, there is a possibility that c…

It is not easy to fool a Rooster and they make good trouble shooters. They are conscious of their appearance and what they wear. What's good? Funny, witty, brave, enthusiastic, efficient and honest. A Rooster person is very intelligent, a good thinker and has an excellent memory, alert and organised. They are intelligent, entertaining and strong willed but generous to friends.
