There are various varieties of bamboos. These bamboos were recently planted at the newly T.O.P. condo : Livia at Pasir Ris. Unlike trees that have a single tree trunk; bamboos grow and multiply in clusters. Some matured bamboo clusters are much thicker than the one shown in the photos. As bamboos contain pockets of "spaces" or "air"; just imagine, if the bamboos were not properly maintained, e.g. cut-off partially, it could easily contain or rather retain stagnant water. And thus as a result become breeding points for mosquitoes.. In many situations, snakes.. may take refuge also in the undergrowth of bamboo stocks.. Again, the above explaination; is based purely on: Com…

Hi Master, Would like to ask if it is advisable to purchase a house that is facing the dead end of the road and a reservoir? The block has been circled in black as attached. Read that houses at t junctions as well as water bodies behind the houses are not advisable. Does this case fall under these 2 scenarios? Thank you.

Hi Master, I've heard many things around feng shui and flow of energy with trees blocking the main entrance. Would the attached picture be considered a tree blocking the flow of energy? This is the view from the front door. Thank You.

Can you please advice me what can I do because i am really clueless on how it will affect me and if it really will, how can I find a remedy for this matter? Thanks. Regards Chong

In my opinion, no one has ever done so. Do take extra care when using an ordinary compass. As often, there are lots of "hidden" re-bar that can cause the compass readings on such a compass to deviate by alot. Often, try to stand on a grass area (but then again) and take several readings (if possible). Sometimes even grass patches have metal embedded below it thus again may cause the readings to deviate.

Frankly, in my opinion, the "enclosed" court yard even in Singapore is common place. One of the oldest is People's Park Complex which even has three air-wells. (The high-rise dwellings built around the late 1970's is just directly above the words "People's Park FC" (FC= Food Centre):- There are som many other examples. And I simply took a random sample...

Hi Master Lee My house has three doors in a straight line. The first door is the main door and is the biggest door. The 2nd door is the middle door and opening to the open concept kitchen, dinning and living room. The 3rd door is the sliding door and opening to our big backyard. I attached our floor plan below. We have an option to convert the 3rd sliding door to sliding window. Would this do any better in term of energy flowing? Please help. Warmest regards, Channa

My main door, kitchen entrance door and door of utility room are all in a straight line. Please see attached floor plan for a better understanding. Is installing a curtain in the middle or back door alright to rectify the issue ? If yes, any requirements on the types of curtains? Please help me with your professional opinion and advice. Thank you Master. Most appreciated. Raymond

Hi Mr Cecil, We have purchased a resale condo, with floorplan attached. Due to lack of storage space, our ID has recommended to build a triangular shaped storeroom (marked in red floorplan). Have read that triangular shaped bedrooms and houses are not ideal, but how about storerooms? And it is right in the centre of the home. Been trying to search for answers but to no avail until I chanced upon your website.. Hope you’d be able to shed some light on this! Thank you very much!

Hi everyone. I’m new to Feng shui and wanted to know if the circled angled corridor is shooting a poison arrow to my unit’s front door (number 1). I attached 2 photos so you can see the layout with better clarity. If there is a poison arrow, what are the cures! Can I also check if I’m reading the bagua map correctly for the layout of my house?

Dear Master Cecil, I am writing to ask for your advice and guidance. Unfortunately, my uncle passed away recently and we are still planning to have our wedding in just five days. I am not sure what to do in this situation. Should we uninvite the relatives on my uncle's side of the family? I would greatly appreciate any thoughts you have on this matter. Regards Nutella

Dear Anon, 1. Feng Shui encompasses various aspects, including the environment, the site, and the interior of the home. 2. All of the aforementioned factors have an impact on Feng Shui. 3. In my view, there is no problem with airing shirts and pants, especially if they are not excessively soiled. This is a common practice in the real world. 4. Given that not all of us live in an ideal environment, as long as a room is adequately maintained, I personally do not see this as an issue. 5. Many of us have read Feng Shui books that advise against placing a TV set facing the bed, as it is considered inauspicious. The rationale is that when one sle…

Dear Airvrm, In response to my previous message, I was unable to determine the location of your Main entrance door due to the absence of a North to South indicator on your graphic layout. However, I have already identified the center of the house for you, which you can use as a reference point to determine the direction of your house. If you are following the 8 house theory, each compass point is at a 45-degree interval. For instance, North is at 0 degrees, North-East is at 45 degrees, and East is at 90 degrees. Therefore, you can identify the closest degree to determine the direction. It is recommended that you do some research on this matter. If yo…

Dear Anon, 1. It would be a preferable option to have an additional bed beneath your current one. This alternative could be more suitable. 2. Some Feng Shui practitioners may approve of loft beds, also known as double decker beds. However, in my view, having a double decker bed should not be an issue as the person sleeping on the lower bed is at the same level. Unlike a beam that concentrates weight downwards, the same level bed disperses the weight evenly. 3. In your situation, I also believe that it is not ideal to have part of your body, especially your head, positioned below the loft. If possible, try to sleep with your head away from the loft. However, th…
