General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

    1. Frankly, in many instances, there is no really need to cleanse the figurines. It is like akin to "nice-to-do" and not a "must-do". 2. In addition, the key success factor is often to make sure that whatever we place at our front door if possible should be:- 2.1 well nourished - figurines... not thin or skeletonal look 2.2 It is even better if these figurines have a "happy face". It is akin to the concept of "greeted" by a happy face! Imagine many of us who rear dogs... when the owner comes back... "that kind of feeling".

    1. Try to do a SEARCH for recent articles on "Facing Direction" of the home. 2. Try to measure the "frontage" based on the most yang qi or "brightest qi" of the home. Majority of the time if your apartment building has a "single" face, try to check if it fits the description of most yang qi. Michael K. wrote: Hello Master Lee, I'm responding to your last reply to my post. Thank you for you patience, and I apologize for my slow learning curve. I gather from your last reply that in measuring my front door 24 mountain facing direction that I'm supposed to measure the front door of my apartment building and not the front door of my personal suite; is this correct? Thank you…

    1. Thanks for the sketch. 2. The good news is that your main door or from the sketch the windows don't seem to be in-direct straight path i.e. not attached by direct sha qi of the "T" junction. 3. The only concern is the "tree" facing the main door. If the tree has a tree trunk and it seems to be slicing into the main door then the best solution is to terminate or cut-down the tree (especially if the tree is within your premises. 4. Alternatively, there are at least two neutralising situations: 4.1 Do a search for " Triangle efffect " where one can place two potted plants or grow to plants closer to the door to form an "outward" triangle. 4.2 Place a convex ba gua mi…

    1. For a landed property, it is very straight forward to take a compass reading i.e. majority of the time it is where usually cars drive past our main entrance area. And this is where often, we drive into the home. And most of the living room / main door is (located). For landed property, just hold the luo-pan (most of the time) standing inside of the door looking outwards of the home. The luo pan has a needle and there is also "two red dots". Once the needleis properly aligned try to place the two dots in between the needle - this marking will show the north compass marking. 2. Fora condo type development, if your building as mentioned earlier has one "facing" e.g. a s…

    1. Usually for any occupation, it should be viewed under two categories: 1.1. The Industry of the business 1.2. The job function, one's job specification is into in a firm. 2. Thus any retail business usually should fall under the "fire element" i.e. Sales, marketing are generally considered a retail function or simply selling goods or services. 3. Sea food - although it can be considered as coming from the sea = water, in the context of the Five Elements, it should encompass the "earth". Thus, in very general sense, seafood is derived from (the sea) which is part of the earth. (Element = earth element) Quote: Linh D. wrote: Please give me some advices, I want to kno…

    1. Big Tree - right opposite the main door Stand inside the door and look directly out of it. If the tree is not directly facing any part of the door (within the doorframe) then no issue. Else as mentioned in my earlier posting; can apply the "triangle-effect" i.e. do a search under this forum for it or the other options that I had mentioned. 2. Utility pole From your rough sketch - don't seem to be a threat to the home. 3. Pool Would need to have a proper assessment done based especially on Flying Star Feng Shui. 7. 1. Kua numbers are often not used to analyse a sector (good or bad). 2. If possible, the best method is to apply Compass School - Flying star method in your home. 3. For example, if say the fireplace location has a #3 (Quarrels, conflicts etc). then inadvertently, "fire" as in the "fire-place fire" can help to neutralise this bad star(s). You see, some homes where there is a #3 at certain sector, some FS practitioners may recommend a fire element at that specific sector. This fire element can be in the form of a '24 hours' light or somethign red within that sector. 4. Therefore, the key success is not to apply general statements like: north = career etc.. but to do it …

North-west sector of the home: Usually this type of home may have a missing corner at NW or NW is located at the kitchen area. And the rest usually has more to do with the male having an illicit affair. Under Flying star Feng Shui, the tell tale signs are usually the presence of #3 star at this sector. 1.2 South-West sector Again, it can be a missing corner or the arrival of #3 at that sector. 2. If the home has a "known" history e.g. if one has stayed in this home for several or more years, can draw a chart based on Para 1 and usually another chart (standing inside the main entrance door looking outside of the home). Yes, one will be affected especially by the m5 at that sector also. while w7 has more to do with "loss of wealth". Hopefully, your office uses "cool daylight" lighting above your work space. If it is "warm daylight" then, check to see if it is possible to "change" it. In addition, avoid bright yellow and bright red items such as file folders etc at your work space. Try to hang a set of six coins in your cubicle. And if possible, purchase one of those bronze hulu and place it at your work table. I just started work at a new office which is NW1 facing in Period 7. TheNW sectorthat I sit in has the following flying star: m5, w7, b8. In June, I fell very sick when the ye…

    1. In general, it is acceptable to have a SMALL fish tank in the kitchen. 2. However, try to avoid the following:- 2.1. If the kitchen is at the North compass direction of the home; then it is best not to place the fish tank. 2.2. Try not to place the small fish tank directly opposite (facing) the stove. 2.3. Try to keep at least 1 feet distance between the small fish tank and the stove. Quote: Hi there! Would like to know if having a small fish tank in the kitchen is okay?

  17. Please refer to my most recent reply to your last message. In modern times, with our knowlege of what positive and negative ions can and cannot do. And with the common use of silver nano technology - found in some high end washing machines and even can be found embedded into plastic containers... ain't these a better bet than relying on "older" Feng Shui cures? Katrina L. wrote: Cecil, This year: 1.we changed some part of the roof since the roof is old and we have been experiencing leaks from the rain. 2. changed the kitchen floor tiles and painted a new color on the walls of the kitchen 3. painted new color on the walls of the master's bedroom which we now turned into gym room 4. painted new color on the walls of the living and dining rooms. So, would you consider our house newly renovated and now under period 8? Or is our house still under period 6? Please advice. Thanks!

No, as it is covered up. The test is usually, from inside the compound of the home, can one see the drainage. For all landed properties, often, there are two exit points that "will bring wealth" depending on whether water flows to the left or right of the house. And often, a third exit point can bring "power and authority" to the home owner. If not sure, try to seek expert help from a Feng Shui professional. Traditionally, this "clash" does not affect one's wealth. Especially if both neighbour's and your main entrance does not face each other directly. It may be considered to affect relationship with the "neighbour". Thus, if your company does not have any direct dealings with the opposite neighbour, then, no major issue. Anonymous wrote: We are building our office. We are on the last part of the construction and we noticed that our gate is directly opposite our neighbors gate. I know that gates facing each other is not very lucky, what do we do? Should we put a wall instead? But if we do put a wall, then we would have no garage. Help.

  23. 1. Definitely, one has to use the most accurate birth date or our "real birthdate". Frankly, after so many years, in this line, I have yet to come across, such an (obvious) question. 2. Frankly, this is very common; especially in the past: Singapore, Malaysia and many other countries. Many elderly said that they were born on such and such a date. But, as they live in rural area, their birth was registered e.g. at a police post a few days or even months. 1. Yes, the key concept is to locate the "mouth" of a home. This mouth is considered vital as it allows qi to meander into the home. 2 A "mouth" needs to be opened, not all the time but at least, like a door or windows; need to open at least several times a day. Imagine, physically we have a mouth but never open it? Not even for food or water throughout the day? 3. You mentioned: "But these windows are never opened (due to extreme heat outside). what then?" Thus this set of windows if it is "sealed" for life does not "qualify" as the mouth of the home. 4. Your best bet is the other set of windows or the main door. But in my opinion, it looks more pronouced to use the o…
