General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. 1. Many people are in your situation where they had purchased a home and started to "fiddle" with Feng Shui and Oops! this is bad or that is bad. 2. Most or many homes are fixed and based on the concepts that you had mentioned, they are meant more for those who have yet to build and trying to avoid such areas. Frankly there is no perfect home, and honestly there are relatively "no antidote" other than Para 2. (Which often is not practical which means moving out of a home....)Thus, you have look at other options of maximizing qi from other areas of the home:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks Quote: Steve J. wrote: Hello... Hello, thank you so much for your attention! I am about to move into an apartment where, in the prosperity corner (as determined by the main door), a neighbor with a previous tenant's permission put in a hose to tap water from this apartment to his own shack outside for minor water use. I am wondering if this will symbolize my prosperity getting lost, along with the flow of water going out. In which case I will ask the user to kindly tap someone else's water. Or maybe I should just go along with it and do a good deed. The user is paying about five dollars a month for the service. Is there another solution to the problem? Thank You again! Avraham

Dear Anon, 1. It is common (even locally in Singapore) for some Feng Shui practitioners to coin the idea of the wealth corner. 2. In fact, this is what the consumer wants. And some or many of such Feng Shui practitioners would be most happy to impart the idea. And if it makes the consumer happy, then to this practitioners it is fine to them. 3. In fact, on many many occasions even when I do local Feng Shui audits, 8 out of 10 clients would after the audit ask me where is their wealth corner? 4. As mentioned locally, many Feng Shui practitioners would (some based on their own concepts and ideas would `convince' the owner) that their wealth sector is at `X' marks the spot. …

Dear Erin, Under the Eight House Theory, the important point is that if one does not spent time at a specific location, it has little impact on the person. Thus, even if the prosperity area/sector is at the toilet, if one does not spent time at that location, it has relatively little impact. It does not automatically mean that because the prosperity area is at the toilet, using the toilet ie. flushing it will mean flushing down one's wealth. This `prosperity area' is only but one of the many other sectors within a specific theory and accounts for a smaller percentage of luck. Warmest Regards, Cecilh

Dear Anon, A kitchen located in the prosperity sector is ok. One need to look out instead for the following:- 1. Avoid any parts of the stove being supressed by ceiling beam above it. 2. Water pipes should not criss-cross along the stove. (It should be hidden from view). 3. For the stove; the knobs should face upwards towards the ceiling (in a neutral position) especially if the stove face `outwards' of the main entrance of the house. 4. If the kitchen is at the North sector, it is best that the stove does not face a water position. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In such a situation, nothing much can be done . Normally, the advice here is to cover the toilet bowl with the toilet seat cover and close the door. You can certainly try putting riverstones if you want. Cecil There is no need to do anything as it is already a good sector for your husband.

Hi, tan jhj wrote: this ziwei master kept a copy of my ziwei analysis, saying it is for his database when i ask the ziwei chart from him. In general, this is entirely up to the consultant whether or not they do want to keep a copy or not. It really depends a lot on what kind of services they offer. For example, any face-to-face analysis, usually is done on the spot. So any information analysed should be given to the client. No real need to keep a copy. Even if they do keep a copy (usually to make it easy for their clients to ask further advise or request for it again if they lost it), they should remove/destroy the data should you do not want them to keep it. For exam…

  9. As most of us are aware of the holy trinity of luck; I am sure as a loving parent you have taken as much effort in your son's human or man luck factors. As for his environment, I suppose, where he spents most of his time, this is his earth luck or Feng Shui. This is equally important as some sectors may have some Feng Shui issues; and often bazi or Heaven Luck is used to try to improve and harmonize with the earth luck. This is apparently unknown, here.

Dear Anooja, 1. For a protrusion, it is good to view it from a top-down approach. 2. Often, hopefully, if one can visualise air-flow into the unit/home, then, things like odd angled protusions, sometimes may create `vortex' or non-smooth air flow e.g. a U shaped building may not often be ideal, here. 3. Frankly, I cannot explain, to those who cannot understand what I said under the above paragraph. 4. For example, if one cannot visualise, then think in-terms of a wind tunnel experiment. Here, smoke is blown towards an object and the relationship of air flow is looked at. Much like cars with drag coeficient of less than 0.29 for cars such as the Audi 100 etc... 5. In Sha…

Yes, in my opinion, since there is a really defined RECTANGLE or SQUAREISH outline; The bedroom therefore sticks out like a sore-thumb. This is truly a classic case of "Ifanyone does not see it as a PROTUSION"; but rather think that there are missing corners; please take out a gun and shoot yourself in the feet. (You deserve it)

Hi, Thanks for the information about the center of the house. I purchased the Fly Star report and ran it using the front door and the center of the house (as shown in the diagram). However, I just read on one of the posting that if you use the garage door as the primary entrance then the garage door should be the door should be used for the report. 1) Since we used the garage as our primary door, should I have run the report using the garage door? 2) We enter the garage through a main (large) garage door and then enter the house through a door at the front right side of the garage (see diagram). When running the report, Should I use the main garage door (large) or th…

These are further clarifications: 1. Shapes like what you had posted, is a good candidate for trying to get the area of protusion close to missing area(s). 2. Here, please take note that the area of protusion NEED not necessarily be the actual protusion. 3. For example, using judgement; the missing area can be as large as (you want) and the protusion can be as little or as much as you "want". 4. Ultimately, what one wants to achieve here is that as far as possible, the missing areas should match that of a protusion. As in my example. 5. Unlike a recent posting asking me to find the centrepoint (centre-of-gravity) - where I mentioned that there is a long passageway and th…

Dear Users, This has to do with BELIEFs than Feng Shui: 1. Attached illustration showing that it is inauspicious to use a divider to keep shoes (facing the main entrance door). 2. It is very inauspicious to give a friend a pair of shoes. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Pictures not available for those listening in under the mailing list option.

Dear Anthea, You cannot compare two different method's analysis. This will be like comparing an apple to an orange. Even in just the feng shui / horoscope, if you use Eight House gua element, this also does not match the ba zi element. Why? Eight House calculates fromthe year of birth, while Ba Zi calculates from date and time of birth. However, even though both gives you different analysis, but you will know that certain analysis you use Eight House while certain analysis uses Ba Zi. Same with nearly all concepts. Pu Kua or any Divinity method is aconcept to attempt to predict what might happen or to help choices. This is entirely different from like Ba Zi which only…

There are quite a number of articles about such houses and the problems from it. So far, there has been no effective solutions to counter the negative impact from such underground water. 21. Imagine, if we were in the 1910's walking along the streets of Singapore; we might see a well organized worker clearing the streets. In the picture is a hard-working civil servant; some regard him as a scavenger. And he is clearing and cleaning the streets of North division. In the back-drop is the dust-van. Today, we might call this a dump-truck. Much like those placed outside a premises to haul away debris and yes, dust from the work-site (renovations or A and A works)

Dear Sophia, I am not to clear whether pumpkin (American slang) is similar to the local use of the term melon. But, if what your friend had displayed, locally in Singapore we call this "pumpkin" melon instead. Some call it golden melon because of it's colour. Usually, much like the mandarin oranges or "kum"; this is the phonetic sound like "Gold" for the Cantonese dialect group. Thus, exchanging a pair of mandarin oranges is like exchanging gold for the Cantonese. Thus, an orange melon also has the look of "gold" and in my opinion, perhaps, more readily associated with the Cantonese. And during the new year period, this melon or pumpkin? has been marketed to sell …

  23. Dear Mary, Thank you for making the effort to describe the lot. However, it is quite difficult to provide an accessment because one really needs to look at the site inorder to properly evaluate the situation. Please see below:- 1. Dear Mei Ling, Please note that analysis done here are based on information provided and on Eight House so not every possible analysis may have been considered. However, based on the Eight House, North is Longevity for yourself and Irritation for your husband. Still generally ideal. But the house must contain a bedroom which is more suitable to your husband. For a more suitable direction would probably be South-West, where your husband will be having a better facing, and yourself Irritation might be better. This is because it is often good to give the breadwinner the better house suitability then the spouse. So generally, quite ok. Usually North and South facing house …

  25. Dear Barb, Generally, even if the road has little or low traffic, by the fact that it is exposed to a road view, would place it as a home (as you had described) at a "T"junction. Under the water classics of Feng Shui, it is good to have water coming into the home. But do check whether at the exit point, can water canal be seen at the back of the house or at the side of the home. (If so, this is considered inauspicious). I reproduce, an old article in this forum indicating the method for counting the number of steps-in-a home:- Introduction: 1. In Feng Shui, there are two traditional methods of determining the number of steps. 2. The first method is a 3 number …
