Dear Lily, Quote: May I ask what happens if WS8 and MS6 fell in the sector of half of the toilet and half of the dining room (divided by a solid wall). Can WS8 be activated in the dining room? The other half of the dining room is MS2, WS3 and B7. As long as a resonable amount of sector influence cover the dining room, it is still possible to activate the stars in the sector. For Water Star however, you also need to make sure there is clear space available, because that is the requirement. A dining room may not be as effective a location compared to living room/balcony. With the open space consideration, you will not be able to enjoy the water star in this sector of …

Dear Vincent, In my opinion, since you are so interested in Flying Star Feng Shui, it is best to learn (study) or take up a course on Flying Star Feng Shui. This is because, in order to answer your question takes much time and duplication of resources. For the enhancement of Step 3: What are it's weakness. I am very sure or confident that if you do find out the Water or Mountain star based on such a guideline, you will be better off in your quest for knowledge. Clue: It would be naive to only activate either Water or Mountain star. But what is more important is(are) does the location fit the criteria for activating a water or mountain star. For example, if a m…

Dear Sophia, For birth element you should use Ba Zi element. 1. The Kua Element is never used as the Birth element, given it only considers the YEAR of birth. 2. The Ba Zi on the other hand tkes the full Day, Month, Year and even Hour of birth, so it is far more accurate to use the Ba Zi element. You should always try to use the day rather than year element (just as in our website's ba zi analysis). So Earth element as caculated by the Ba Zi report is your birth element. Hope that helps. Dear DeVon, If one intends to harmonize a home using Feng Shui, you may have to: 1. Do lots of `homework' in finding out not only the Principles and Concepts of the various Feng Shui techniques but also how to apply them properly. This can start from reading up books, taking up courses etc... 2. Alternatively, the most `hassle free' method is to consult a competent FS practitioner to do a home audit. Dear Angela, In my opinion, it would be best if you want to apply Feng Shui to get a FS practitioner to go thru all the details. As the modification may affect i.e. the Shapes and Form of the home (itself) and Compass School readings. If you do not want to engage a FS practitioner, you can try to make sure of the following:- 1. Shapes and form Feng Shui. Here, you made a good point by trying to make sure that the house is as rectangular as possible. 2. Outline of the house. Does the house resemble any "human body" shape? If you have not read this article, please go thru it:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/grandpa1.htm It highlighst an actual case study: House influenced by Fe…

Dear Jen, Frankly, if this is a small plant, and a one-off exercise, there is no issue in doing so. Unless, it is a prolonged event - which it is not. In my opinion, go ahead with it. There is one School of thought that says that one could place a metal piece or metal (object) between this area and the home.. Hmm... not necessary. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. So long as you D.I.Y. is OK:) Don't call the bulldozers in! This is really - not too good....

Dear Ana, 1. Welcome to the understanding of Feng Shui! 2. This is because, in my opinion, Feng Shui is all about understanding rather than "what we see is what we get". 3. About Doctors and would be doctors 4. Several years back, I remembered, distinctively a doctor who started learning or rather practising Feng Shui. 5. Here, although doctors are smart, but, sometimes, every human being(s) are gullible or simple feel that what they read are "real" and can be directly applied. 6. Perhaps, we all canquite understand that doctors or would be doctors have always picked up a book e.g. an anatomy book, and if the book says the heart has 2 values, 3 major veins etc.. Th…

http://www.ens-newswire.com/PERSONAL_PICTURES/hThank you so much for your service. I have learned so much from the free forums that I am planning to sign up for the entire course. I am renting a condominium that is troublesome to me. I have suffered both health and financial problems since I moved in here. The door is facing directly north and there are several vertical posts as well as a steel handrail in front of the door. I have posted pictures both from inside and outside. Is there any way I can offset this negative influence or should I move to a new home?

    1. Usually weak metal(s) #7 can be neutralised by water element. 2. Do take note that if that sector has a #3 (bad wood) in combination with #7 then, it would not be adviceable to use water in that sector. As water will further fuels bad wood #3. (#3 is quarrels, conflicts, scandals, lawsuits) 3. Thus usually if the sector has the #3, water would be worse. This may explain why someone may try to use earth, perhaps, that person felt it is better to disarm bad wood with earth.

Dear Alan, Thank for your description of the situation. 1. Try to see if you can apply (if possible) this concept: " If it no longer can be seen, it will no longer be a threat ". 2. At the balcony, day curtains would be useful (for brightness). Or, reflective sun-X protection on glass panels (especially) on sliding panels or windows that you do not often open. 3. Since the protusion is of the Metal element, Red (fire element) can be used to `control' it (only). 4. If you or your family are Christians or Catholics, if the sha qi is distinct, then use a flat circular mirror above the balcony and/or the main door. As both the balcony (considered as the frontage) and the ma…

Dear Julianna, 1. You can generate free reports: "What is my Gua (Kua) number" and also the "Eight House Report" to find out the Gua number for anyone born after 2000. 2. In my book " Applied Feng Shui", there are three methods that gives the same answer to the calculation of Gua before or after 2000. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wendy, 1. In my opinion, it is too general to say that since the door is at SW, we should paint it according to the colour. 2. In THEORY or technically speaking, you can do that. 3. But the question here is what do one try to achieve? 4. In many questions asked, Thank God!, that nowadays, many users no longer ask me this one line question like: Where is my wealth sector? Which I do not reply to at all. 5. This is very relevant to the above question. If we use the Five Elements concept to explain wealth. 6. Dear Edelyn, In my opinion, it is best to ask specific questions. As it is nearly impossible to reply to a very broad question such as yours. For example, under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, are there any `threat's to the home; things like location of toilet etc... As mentioned above, without constructive questions, there can-not be a constructive advice. Like Henry Ford had this to say: "You can have any car, so long as it is black". One has to go beyond saying that the car is black. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tomo, Eight House can be applied no matter how small or large the house is. The only question you will have to ask is it useful to divide the house for any analysis anymore. In this case, the analysis such as finding which sector of the house is good for what is no longer useful. However, the directions where you can place the desk or bed position will still be useful. ie facing North direction is your longevity so this should be where your head is for sleeping. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Ariane, I am sad to hear about your problem: 1. If you have the time, you could check out the Shapes and Form School of this house i.e. do an environmental scanning: the surroundings site, the home. 2. We will certainly be happy provide you credit for a Flying Star Analysis. Here, you have to do some homework i.e. find the centreporint and direction of the main entrance etc... Look closely at the NE sector also. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please email: robert-lee@3dmail.com to credit u with a Flying Star Analysis.

Dear Angelina, 1. If one is using either of the Compass School Feng Shui i.e. Eight House Theory or Flying Star; one has to rememeber that for most cases (unless it is e.g. an `L' shaped design etc...) We should take compass reading only " once " i.e. from the centrepoint of the home and measure this to the direction of the main entrance door. 2. With the above information, we should have a copy of the layout plan and mark the North to South / East to West. A protractor helps here. 3. After the above is done; one should then find out that the bedroom is located e.g. in the " East " etc... One do not need to take compass readings from the centrepoint of each room. For maj…

Dear Kamini 1. In my opinion, many of us are led wrongly to believe that our romance sector is at the South-West. 2. In fact, many book authors and those who sell things to enhance that sector are infact the only ones " Laughing to the Bank ". 3. It is certainly sad to see this situation. 4 Let us look at an illustration:- 4.1 Let's say if three of us are young bachelor males working in any office. There is a new lady colleague who has just joined us. 4.2 One of us would place a mandarin duck in the South-West sector. For me, I may have palced 12 roses at South-West sector. 4.3 The third male colleague, who knew of what three of us are doing; try to out bid the two of …

Dear Anon, I have personally seen clients who even if they are missing out in their resource element, make a success in their Wealth or even Power element. In many of these success stories, another major aid is their home. Perhaps, I like to clarify here that maybe (just maybe) that their `excellent' homes has added a second dimension or `had replaced' their missing resource element. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kathy, It is best to find out where is the frontage of your house, first. In some homes, although the main door can be at one side of the house; but in some instances, you may have the `back' of the house as your `frontage'. For example, there are homes facing the sea. In such a situation; one may have a road leading to the main door. But, all the view is at the `back' or frontage of the house. If one's home is of this situation, then, there is no issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear John, In my opinion, you can consider the (I believe) the beautiful brick facade as a decoration. It need not be `balanced' directly. You can try to make the apartment as cosy as possible to your taste. So far, I come across many homes with such beautiful facade and in my opinion do not pose any problems. Warmest Regards, Cecil
