Dear Maria, It is better to approach the issue under the Holistic Approach to Feng Shui. For example, other considerations - if your home is a landed property is to make sure that the "mouth" of the house is not often opened too large. For example, some homes, one have both the main entrance and a panel of sliding doors to the front patio. Frequently by opening this two mouth -- may imply that children may not get married. Dear Tomo, Eight House can be applied no matter how small or large the house is. The only question you will have to ask is it useful to divide the house for any analysis anymore. In this case, the analysis such as finding which sector of the house is good for what is no longer useful. However, the directions where you can place the desk or bed position will still be useful. ie facing North direction is your longevity so this should be where your head is for sleeping.
