Dear Anon, In reality, frankly I believe, these are fixtures and very difficult to remove nor keep away from. However, currently, the major concern is that of sewerage pipes, than water pipes. But lets hope, this is non-issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello, my S2 home has a MS 8 and a WS 8 at the front door, my husband thought to activate both stars was to build a 6 tier waterfall made of stone to place inside our home, not far from the front door, However, the base star 3 is here as well! (and the yearly 7), thus, water will only strengthen the wood and the heavy stone will strengthen the metal of 7 as well.....how can we activate these wonderful 8 stars - I obviously think fire would benefit all but would placing a fireplace by the front door be the wisest choice??Thanks for sharing your experience and wisdom with us all!

Dear Hendra, Most likely, your Feng Shui Master, is applying the Eight House or East/West group person's to find the best sleeping direction for you. Often, this has to be done in conjuction with the study of the bedroom (Shapes and Forms, first). And, if it is nice to have sleeping along a good direction. Here, the Eight House/4 East/West group, is part of the Compass School of Feng Shui. Therefore, sounds, reasonable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Maria, It is better to approach the issue under the Holistic Approach to Feng Shui. For example, other considerations - if your home is a landed property is to make sure that the "mouth" of the house is not often opened too large. For example, some homes, one have both the main entrance and a panel of sliding doors to the front patio. Frequently by opening this two mouth -- may imply that children may not get married. There are perhaps also so many other issues, here. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lee, 1. Thank you for your effort in scanning and providing the relevant details. 2. It is thru, the proper details provided e.g. scanned image that makes it easy for me to provide the relevant advise. 3. As for the significance of either `protusions' or `missing corners' please refer to this URL:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-building.htm 4. The ruleset here is that a `protusion' or `missing corner' is one where a sector has either a protrusion or missing corner equal to or exceeding 33.3 percent of the area of that particular sector. 5. Thus a sector is defined as: based on the layout plan, equally divide the floor plan into 9 equal sectors. 6. If…

Dear DeVon, If one intends to harmonize a home using Feng Shui, you may have to: 1. Do lots of `homework' in finding out not only the Principles and Concepts of the various Feng Shui techniques but also how to apply them properly. This can start from reading up books, taking up courses etc... 2. Alternatively, the most `hassle free' method is to consult a competent FS practitioner to do a home audit. Dear Angela, In my opinion, it would be best if you want to apply Feng Shui to get a FS practitioner to go thru all the details. As the modification may affect i.e. the Shapes and Form of the home (itself) and Compass School readings. If you do not want to engage a FS practitioner, you can try to make sure of the following:- 1. Shapes and form Feng Shui. Here, you made a good point by trying to make sure that the house is as rectangular as possible. 2. Outline of the house. Does the house resemble any "human body" shape? If you have not read this article, please go thru it:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/grandpa1.htm It highlighst an actual case study: House influenced by Fe…

Dear Steven, Firstly, Congratulations! On your new home! 1. As many of us are aware, Flying Star Feng Shui comes under two forms:- 1.1 Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui This is often called the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui. And of course, there is also the Yearly, Monthly, Daily and even hourly Flying Star FS. 1.2 Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui This is the Apartment Number Flying Star Feng Shui. And the influence, here is also based on variables like: a. What period the home was built? b. What floor or storey is the unit located. Therefore, the rationale why, there is a difference in the Vertical (House / apartment no. interpretation has to do with not only the combined 8…

Dear Tomo, Eight House can be applied no matter how small or large the house is. The only question you will have to ask is it useful to divide the house for any analysis anymore. In this case, the analysis such as finding which sector of the house is good for what is no longer useful. However, the directions where you can place the desk or bed position will still be useful. ie facing North direction is your longevity so this should be where your head is for sleeping. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Frankly, traditional Schools of Feng Shui specifically use two major schools: 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 2. Compass School: The Eight House (Ba Cai) or The Flying Star Feng Shui Thus fixed template "Feng Shui" or adapting the Eight Aspirations or Life Aspriations concept of the Eight Trigrams is common today. Although it looks very easy to apply, it is considered too general by Traditional Schools of Geomancy or Feng Shui. In addition to the above, the Ba Zi or Pillars of Destiny of individuals are also used by Authentic Traditional Schools. It all boils down to another major concept: known as "The lowest common denominator or LCM" or everything revolv…

Dear Ana, 1. Welcome to the understanding of Feng Shui! 2. This is because, in my opinion, Feng Shui is all about understanding rather than "what we see is what we get". 3. About Doctors and would be doctors 4. Several years back, I remembered, distinctively a doctor who started learning or rather practising Feng Shui. 5. Here, although doctors are smart, but, sometimes, every human being(s) are gullible or simple feel that what they read are "real" and can be directly applied. 6. Perhaps, we all canquite understand that doctors or would be doctors have always picked up a book e.g. an anatomy book, and if the book says the heart has 2 values, 3 major veins etc.. Th…

Dear Ariane, I am sad to hear about your problem: 1. If you have the time, you could check out the Shapes and Form School of this house i.e. do an environmental scanning: the surroundings site, the home. 2. We will certainly be happy provide you credit for a Flying Star Analysis. Here, you have to do some homework i.e. find the centreporint and direction of the main entrance etc... Look closely at the NE sector also. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please email: robert-lee@3dmail.com to credit u with a Flying Star Analysis.

  17. Dear Yumeko, Assuming that one is weak water and weak earth. You can use the Compatibility report at www.geomancy-online.com to look at the binding element for a weak water and weak earth person. For these two persons - the proposed binding element would be two elements. In locations in the house in particular: your bedroom and living room area; you can enhance the bedroom with the binding elements. For example: since a weak water and weak earth person would need two binding elements then: a combination of enhancement can be:- - paint the walls in one of the binding element colour. And e.g. for the wardrope use the second binding element. Or instead, use the appropriate …

    1. Usually weak metal(s) #7 can be neutralised by water element. 2. Do take note that if that sector has a #3 (bad wood) in combination with #7 then, it would not be adviceable to use water in that sector. As water will further fuels bad wood #3. (#3 is quarrels, conflicts, scandals, lawsuits) 3. Thus usually if the sector has the #3, water would be worse. This may explain why someone may try to use earth, perhaps, that person felt it is better to disarm bad wood with earth.

Dear Angelina, 1. If one is using either of the Compass School Feng Shui i.e. Eight House Theory or Flying Star; one has to rememeber that for most cases (unless it is e.g. an `L' shaped design etc...) We should take compass reading only " once " i.e. from the centrepoint of the home and measure this to the direction of the main entrance door. 2. With the above information, we should have a copy of the layout plan and mark the North to South / East to West. A protractor helps here. 3. After the above is done; one should then find out that the bedroom is located e.g. in the " East " etc... One do not need to take compass readings from the centrepoint of each room. For maj…

Dear Alan, Thank for your description of the situation. 1. Try to see if you can apply (if possible) this concept: " If it no longer can be seen, it will no longer be a threat ". 2. At the balcony, day curtains would be useful (for brightness). Or, reflective sun-X protection on glass panels (especially) on sliding panels or windows that you do not often open. 3. Since the protusion is of the Metal element, Red (fire element) can be used to `control' it (only). 4. If you or your family are Christians or Catholics, if the sha qi is distinct, then use a flat circular mirror above the balcony and/or the main door. As both the balcony (considered as the frontage) and the ma…

Dear Vijay, 1. Usually, we have to be pragmatic when applying Flying Star or the Eight sectors. 2. If our house or apartment is small to medium sized e.g. 800 sq feet to 3,000 sq feet, usually we do not need to subdivide the house into various sectors. Especially if we own the entire house. 3. In a house environment, if we are using Flying Star, more important considerations are the frontage and the back of the house. 4. However, I would agree with you, that in some cases, it would be good to do sub-sectional Feng Shui for offices. This is because, many individual offices do have their own internal floor area and their specific main door. 5. For a home, I would recommend …

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: In my "Summary of 10-yearly Luck", it shows that I have wealth luck from 38 to 67 years old, i.e. from year 2001 to 2030. How can I enhance or improve my wealth luck during these years? 10-year are considered big luck. If generally it favours you, it means that whatever you do during that period is likely to succeed because luck is with you. Basically, to improve any luck whether it is 10-year, 5-year, year of month luck, it is all the same. You based on your birth element, ie weak wood, then it means you need lots of Water and Wood to make your weak wood stronger and avoid metal and fire. So the more favourable elements you have the more likel…

Dear Wendy, 1. In my opinion, it is too general to say that since the door is at SW, we should paint it according to the colour. 2. In THEORY or technically speaking, you can do that. 3. But the question here is what do one try to achieve? 4. In many questions asked, Thank God!, that nowadays, many users no longer ask me this one line question like: Where is my wealth sector? Which I do not reply to at all. 5. This is very relevant to the above question. If we use the Five Elements concept to explain wealth. 6. Under the Five Elements concept, wealth is created using the Destructive Cycle:- Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Where und…

Dear Anon, I have personally seen clients who even if they are missing out in their resource element, make a success in their Wealth or even Power element. In many of these success stories, another major aid is their home. Perhaps, I like to clarify here that maybe (just maybe) that their `excellent' homes has added a second dimension or `had replaced' their missing resource element. Warmest Regards, Cecil
