Dear Max, Overall, if your office is at ground level or within the height or blocked by the level of the warehouse store wall, this is considered inauspicious to have an office there. However, you mentioned that there is a street between this piece of land and the wall. If u have a picture of the frontage of the land facing the wall, I can have a look to provide you with further comments. Other considerations:- 1. Under the Five elements concept:- 1.1 Earth element warehouse? If the warehouse is a flat structure i.e. flat roofs - then this is considered an "earth structure". Or if the overall building is a `flat' like structure with roofs. To counteract or `create' wealth…

Dear Anon, 1. So far, I do not see any issue relating to the type of floor pattern used e.g. in the kitchen. 2. In my opinion, just about any "normal" design laid tiles. For example from plain pattern to checked are perfectly ok. 3. The more concern is on Yin and Yang. For example, if the house is long and narrow e.g. North-South alignment; and if there are no windows on the East or West, this can be quite dark - particularly in the kitchen. 4. Thus, for such a situation, it is advisable not to use e.g. dark or black tiles. 5. Nowadays, when I review or do audits for my clients, I do get to see units that are of this configuration. 6. For example, this condominium was …

Dear Hoa Luong, No, (no) - Ba Gua mirrors must not be used indoors. Never in one's own home. At staircase landings, one MAY place a mirror e.g. flat rectangular (normal type) mirror here. This is NOT COMPULSORY. One must NEVER place Ba Gua mirrors within the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. As a follow-up, this morning, I visited some local shops and purchased no less than 8 Ba Gua mirrors. 2. I got 3 from one shop and another 5 more from another shop. I think, the second shop keeper must have thought that I was "MAD" since no one had purchased or tried purchasing that many Ba Guas on a single occasion in their life! (Including mine) 3. Just for info, when I displayed so many Ba Gua mirrors to take photos at... my camera smart media "got error". For quite sometime. And for fear of being too Yang.. I covered them up immediately. Do not want to create so many negative Qi. Imagine 8 X Ba Gua mirrors is a rather " FIERCE " thing to do. 4. Out …

Dear Frank, 1. If one is using an ordinary compass, the readings are taken from the centre-point of the house to the main entrance door. 2. For those who use a Luopan, then takes a reading from the main entrance door. The Luopan has a `sitting and facing direction'. And the reading thus will show the `sitting' direction. 3. In my opinion, the most accurate reading with an ordinary compass is from the centre-point of the house to the main entrance. 4. If you need further clarifications or confirmation, feel free to fax your layout plan to me at 065 - 6482 0570 with a return fax number or email address so that I can confirm the centre-point. 5. If you need to change the com…

Dear Anon, If your compass direction falls between: 217.5 to 232.4 degrees then treat this as 225 degrees which is SW2 For others: 202.5 to 217.4 degrees then treat this as 210 degrees or SW1 etc... Therefore, in your case, you should treat it as SW2 since it falls under 217.5 and 232.4 degrees. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Donna, In my opinion, it is very difficult for me to comment on the sector(s) based on " wealth and prosperity sector ". As, this has no relation to Traditional Feng Shui. However, here are my comments on a barbeque area:- 1. Frontage of the house - avoid if possible any placement of a barbeque pit at the frontage of the house (especially in-front of the main door and along the frontage (if possible). 2. Otherwise, if you have a barbeque area, it is best to have it at the side (away from the house). 3. If the barbeque pit is placed on the side try to place it side-ways (along the outline of the fence perimeter). To help understand what I mean, please see attached pi…

Dear Peck Wun, Please see below:- If you want to, you can check out the Paid Auspicious date report at http://www.geomancy-online.com. Specific for analysing good dates for the breadwinner for which will recommend dates such as Very Auspicious, Auspicious, Average, Mixed blessings and to avoid. From the dates provided, you can plan dates for: start of renovation; symbolic move-in date and actual move-in date. It is recommended that a "symbolic move-in" date be selected AFTER completion of renovations. It is ok if one does not have any `old furniture to bring in.' The purpose of having a symbolic move-in date is that it is then not so rush to move-in on a particula…

Dear Anon, 1. At the moment, it is difficult to pint-point the cause of your problems. As Feng Shui is quite diverse and it even extends to Pillars of Destiny or Ba Zi. And in addition, there are many other variables involved. 2. What I personally feel is that, sometimes, when we make continous mistakes, we tend to make more because we may then become to concious about our past mistakes. And makes us more "tensed-up". 3. And I personally feel that when we get more tensed and place pressure on ourselves to perform -- we tend to therefore make further mistakes. 4. In fact, do thing about how you had personally coped example -- in your previous studies and taking exams. Alt…

Dear Gabriel, Please see below:- 24 is actually the 24 directions or mountains under the Flying Star Feng Shui. Where each sector of the compass i.e. 360 degrees is divided by 15 degree increments which results in 24 directions or mountains. East/West Group is also known as Eight House and basically, it is finding the house compass direction and `slotting' the house into either North , South, East, West, NE, SE, SW, NW or 8 compass directions. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui not only is the house Feng Shui if a house is at `North' one must determine which of the North sectors it belongs to. For example in the Flying Star you have:- Direction ========= North 1 North 2…

Dear Anon, 1. You can learn more about Shapes and Form Feng Shui at this URL:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/resources.htm (The Free Fun with Feng Shui website or get the Applied Feng Shui book). 2. Or if you are at any local bookstore, you can try to find out books on `Basic Feng Shui'. Majority of books written on Feng Shui today - are those of Shapes and Form Feng Shui. Therefore, you should not have any problems buying any of them. Take the opportunity to browse thru before u buy them. Specifically, avoid "like the plague" any books where the author `express thanks to Lin Yun' or mentioned Black Hat Sect. I feel that books of this nature are not of proper Feng S…

Dear Peck Wun, Off-white refers to a colour that is white but has a tinge of grey. Or it can also be considered as white with very light shades of other pigments e.g. red, blue, green or yellow. When one look at off-white colour, it is exactly white but slightly duller white. Many of the new paints are white in colour but when we look it at an angle, it looks more like the e.g. pink. Here, very minimal pink is added to these colours. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ben, Thanks for the recent photos. Overall, a Bagua (Pakua) mirror above the window should be ok since you are unable to implement the rest of the other cures. It should be able to neutralise the sha qi. (It would nice to have more - but OK.) The skylight in the middle is acceptable. In fact many of the older Chinese houses do have skylight coming in to the middle court yard. However, if it would not be acceptable if there is a tree exactly in the middle of the court yard. As in one of the recent mail, I mentioned that it is inauspicous to do so. Ideally, the staircase, should be avoided at exactly the centrepoint - and also it should have one or two or more tur…

Dear adviser, People used to say 1st-Live; 2nd-Luck & 3rd-Feng Shui. For me, live is usual and without much improvements, and luck is always seems to be staying down hill. So now the only hope for this case is to depend on Feng Shui. But how do I apply FS effectively to enhance my live and luck? Do 'personal' FS change according to person's age (eg. 10yrs change/cycle)? Is there a 'permanent personal FS aspect' associate with a person? Your precious answers are highly appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely yours hschua p/s: pls email to me.

Dear Chee Siong, 1. In my opinion, it is best in your case to get a Feng Shui audit done to check thoroughly on the house. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui is a powerful tool that can help locate sectors that may be too yin. 3. The Chinese Luopan is a good detector. 4. Under Shapes and Form Feng Shui, sectors of concern are usually NE and SW. In particular especially if the main entrance is either at the NE or SW sectors. Certain missing sectors need to be further looked at. 5. After visiting a location and falling sick is a coincidence that this needs to be looked at closely/investigated. 6. Normally, if there are any activities (if any) human activity would create a Yang force …

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, and from messages received privately and thru this forum, " Sector Feng Shui " is too general to be of any use to a user. 2. In my opinion, there is therfore nothing magical about Mandarin Ducks. The only `magic' is that one's money disappears and ends up in the producer of mandarin ducks and in-between -- the other middlemen earning commission from it. 3. There are many reasons under Feng Shui for a fall in romance luck or generally - unlucky in marriage. Just to give you an example: For those who stay in a house with `large' amounts of doors (in relation to the size of the frontage). Often, many of the women in the house would remain single…

Dear Tammie, Under the Eight House Theory, the critical situation is that other than the main entrance i.e. Is this house suitable to the breadwinner; one must spent time at a specific sector. For example, it is not possible to spent `quality time' or literally spent time there as much as we want to. This theory therefore has it's limitations in that if it happens to be one's personal good sectors e.g. toilet(s), kitchen, and if one cannot spent time there then, one cannot do much more -- to enhance that sector. This theory, therefore is about good sectors -- e.g. to spent time at. And if one can't -- no remedy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear John, In my opinion as far as the Feng Shui of the house is concerned -- majority of the cures relate to placement of 6 coins. Frankly, so far, I have quite of RC clients and in this website... there is no compulsion to place or advice given to place inside the house things that you had mentioned. For six coins, as a cure under Flying Star Feng Shui, users in Singapore has an alternative of using 6 Singapore 1 dollar coins. (As shown under the following url - file reference: 6coins1.jpg:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=6+coins&cat=all&bool=and&x=7&y=9 Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. If it is a concrete beam then use two wooden bamboo flutes:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=bamboo&cat=Feng_Shui_Cures&bool=and&x=11&y=17 2. Place the bamboo flute on any side of the concrete beam. 3. If it is a wooden beam (usually if it is less than 3 inches (width) by 6 inches -- there is really not much issue or the supression of Qi is in my opinion minimal. Otherwise, for concrete beam - metal element should be used instead. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Thomas, 1. Since you are writing a paper on Feng Shui, in my opinion, it would be appropriate in many of the questions for you to do some homework (rather than being spoonfed on some easy answers). 2. To help you further, please sent a personal e-mail to support@geomancy.net so that I can credit you with Paid credit on the book " Applied Feng Shui " - where I will direct you there to find some of the answers to certain questions. In order to do so, you must have created a an account at http://www.geomancy-online.com. Let us know the account. 3. Therefore I would:- 3.1 Refer you to my book if answers can be found there. 3.2 Questions that need an appropriate answer - …

For those who are new to the forum can find out more on how to get quick reply:- http://www.geomancy.net/contact/contact-forum-etiquette/contact-forum-etiquette.htm Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Alex, It would be good if you can draw close sketch and attach it to this forum. I would like to answer your question but, I hope can understand that I would need to see the following clearly:- 1. The shape of your plot of land and the outline of the concrete-lined drainage ditch. In particular - the outline of the concrete-lined drainage. 2. Describe the gradient on all four sides of the house. 3. If possible, describe the surrounding houses e.g in front; side. Alternatively a street directory map of the sector of your house. Warmest Regards, Cecil
