Dear Sarita, So far, I have not come across any problem related to a red fridge on its effect on water. Black represent the water element. Therefore, on the exterior, it represents the water element. Even internally, it is it is also filled with water. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sarita, 1. Currently, in my opinion, the most popular concept that is floating in the internet and around the world is the Eight Aspirations concept. 2. This concept, is second (in popularity) to the Eight House Theory. 3. The difference between the Eight House Theory and the Eight Aspirations is that at least, the Eight House Theory is personalised to an individual. Contrast this to the Eight Aspirations or also commonly known as Life Associations/Aspirations. 4. I feel that the major flaw with the Eight Aspiration concept is that it is not personalised to anyone. If we look carefully at all the major theories; they are infact `customised to':- 4.1. Either the pers…

Dear Leanne, In my opinion, your question is too general. To learn more you could either: 1. Purchase some starter books on Feng Shui. Majority of these books are of the Shapes and Form Feng Shui. It is best to apply either " Traditional Feng Shui " or " 9 Star-Ki " Feng Shui. I would sincerely recommend you not to touch any resources associated with "Black Hat Tantaric Sect" in short: BTB or books associated with `Lin Yun'. 2. You can also browse thru the Free resources in this forum where, it involves real people and real situations or if u have the time to go thru some of the resources at Geomancy.net. Best Wishes on your pursuit of Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Appended by Cecil:- --- Start --- Dear Alan, I have sent you a private e-mail on your queries. Thanks. Warmest Regards, Cecil --- End --- Hi Cecil, I'm actually quite interested to invite U for a on-site feng shui audit for my 5RM HDB flat but one of the main worry is that as I've just shifted into my current flat for abt 2yrs, I'm not prepared to have a major renovation work done. Is it always possible to have alternate remedy for any problem found so as to avoid major changes to my current home setting? Thanks and regards, Alan

Dear Tammie, Please see below:- As mentioned in my forum message; priority should be given (where possible) for your son to spent time at a good sector; first. After this is `satifisfied' then, it is nice to have him face e.g. his education direction NE. Thus, facing NE is secondary or less important then spending good time at a good sector - Under the Eight House Theory. But if the sector is not as good; then, one can still try to face NE. But this is as mentioned - of secondary importance. It is recommended that one understands the aim or purpose of the theory that you are currently using. The aim of Eight House theory is: 1. Find out how suitable e.g. the house…

Dear Max, 1. Recently, there has been a few postings with regards to the `conflicting' information provided by e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui vs Eight House Theory. 2. I like to elaborate that; there is no conflicting information on either the Flying Star Feng Shui nor the Eight House Theory. 3. Here in lies what I have suggested a THREE-Step approach to find out: 3.1 What is the aim or purpose of each theory? If one knows the aim of each of this theory, one would then not be confused or feel that the information provided by e.g. Flying Star or Eight house CAN be contradictory. 3.2 What are the strengths and 3.3 What are the weakness of the theory or concept. 4. In a few rec…

Dear Tammie, Please see below:- It is not advisable to place a small wash basin facing the stove unless this sector is at the South compass direction. For example if your kitchen and stove is at the south compass direction or around 180 degrees direction; it is still acceptable to place the stove there. It is also still acceptable if the kitchen and stove is at the East or South-East - wood element sectors. If the kitchen and stove is at North, this is not advisable as it is said that the warmth cannot be retained. This is still acceptable. Where possible, it is more important that when one stands at the main entrance looking inwards, the windows facing directl…

Dear Peck Wun, 1. Once a person had already purchased a house, there is nothing much under the Eight House that can be used as a cure. 2. The consolation for you is that in terms of the house facing, and based on your information, it is considered a good house. Although the bedroom's may not be suitable. 3. As you have not mentioned who is the breadwinner; it would be best for the breadwinner to occupy the master bedroom. 4. Here, who ever contributes most or paying for the house should therefore, occupy the master bedroom. Frankly, in order for a family to get the best out of your house; the ideal situation is to do a full audit of the house and for the individual …

Dear Adrienne, 1. Under the Compass School of Feng Shui (both Eight House and Flying Star); there will be situations where two rooms may share one sector. 2. And this is quite common. Thus, if it is the Eight House theory (East/West group) of persons; if this is the bedroom, then, the bed can be situated at any of the two rooms especially if it is an auspicious sector where the bed can be placed in one or the other room. 3. Please note that this is the common experience as not all homes are aligned perfectly e.g. north--south or east--west alignment. And many times, one gua can be in two rooms. 4. Anyone using this site, for example must throw away " fixed template " asso…

Dear Manoj, I would strongly recommend a Three-step approach in understanding not just e.g. the Eight House Theory; the Flying Star Theory but any other concepts or theories. As an example of the Three-step approach we first find out what the Flying Star Theory is: 1. The purpose of the Flying Star chart is plot out the `Birth Chart' of a house. Here, we must know when the house was `born'. 1.1 We should also find out it's strength and weakness. 1.2 For example, one of it's strength is that not only it can plot out the birth chart of a house, it can help to diagnose and neutralise the house or problems associated with the house. As the common denominator is based on the …

Dear Rosemary, Please write privately to support@geomancy.net especially so that we can credit you with the Pillars of Destiny (new yearly report) to help you further understand what is in store for this year. In particular, do pay attention to the Luck period whether it is auspicious or not. If not, there is an advise on which element you can use. If you require further advise after you have generated the report, please let us know. As currently, given that you are a strong wood person; without reference to the current luck period - it is a difficult to give you a more exact advice. I am not sure if you have the Paid Flying Star report. If not, we would credit you with …

Dear Angelica, 1. The most common Chinese astrology or Zi Wei Dou Shu is generally based on one's Year of birth. 2. For compatibility purposes, if we use the Year of birth only; then it is quite general. In my opinion, one reading of one person may not be enough. Another element to take note is that of " auto-suggestion ". For example, if we found out that a "Horse person" or a person under the above sign is considered:- "A Dragon person is lively and full of vitality. They are determined and have lots of self-confidence. Dragons are strong fighters, follow own judgement and can take control and deal effectively with any problems. They are also admired but have few cl…

Dear Mina, 1. All major Chinese concepts uses the Chinese Lunar Calendar system. This is where, when we look at even Chinese astrology, it is based on Chinese Lunar new year. And the Chinese Lunar calendar use is wide-spread. Thus, when we need to determine a birth-date. This year, Chinese New Year starts on 12th February 2002. Thus, when we need to check the birth-date, any child born between 1st January 2002 to 11th January 2002 is considered born under the Year 2001 for purposes of Gua calculation. This site and many other book authors; therefore use the Lunar Calendar system. As far as I know; solar (Xia or Hsia) is used only in Pillars of Destiny as mentioned in deta…

Dear James, "The shielding effect" Under the Eight House Theory, it is good for the partners to sleep on the correct side of each other. For example, if one is a West Group (House) person e.g. best directions are North, South, West and North-West. And if the other partner has inauspicious directions, then, the person who is a West Group person should sleep closer to the compass directions Nort, South, West and North-West. While his/her partner sleeps further to this closer to East, SE, NE or SW. Thus, the person who has auspicious sectors can `shield' the other partner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- I am not sure which theory are you applying. But if it is the Eight House Theory or East/ west 4 Group of persons: There is not much cure other than to keep the location bright. For example, ideally it is god to keep the whiles (painted) in neutral colors such as white or pastel shades of it. In many instances, a FS practitoner would most probably recommend that the kitchen should be an auspicious sector (in particular) the placement of the kitchen stove. In this area, some would comment that it should be auspicious for the breadwinner while others would recommend that it be auspicious for the spouse (wife). Overall, I personally fee…

Hi, I checked the center of the house, the bedroom is probably part in the northeast sector and part in the east sector. The whole house is a long rectangle where the long wall of the house faces 330deg if looking from the center spot. My bedroom is on the short side of the house right on the top of the garage, closer to the central northeast (45deg) side of the house ( there are another small room adjacent to my bedroom close to the central east direction 90deg). I am not exactly sure about the exact length of the house, so it is hard to say if my bedroom is really in the northeast sector or mainly in the east sector. So my question would be if my bedroom resides mainly …

Dear John, 1. The `coffin' position is one where when one enters a bedroom door, one could see a person's feet and the entire body and head. Therefore the full head, body and legs are therefore pointed towards the bedroom door. This is inauspicious. 2. In your case, based on what I can understand, (if due to space constraints or conditions of the layout); it is an acceptable position. The test is that if you `lift-up' your head, you should not see both feet through the bedroom door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Ok, I divided the two shapes into two rectangles, the other one being the bedroom. Doing this, the southwest corner of the main room becomes the bathroom and the southwest corner of the bedroom is a built-in closet. That doesn't help my marriage prospects because then I flush my prospects away and I keep far too many memories. How do I enhance the relationships area of my life given these two placements? I was born in 65 so my auspicious directions are NE, NW, SW and W. I am also thinking of moving the mirror to the dining room. Would that be ok? I really appreciate the help you've given me. Gloria

Dear Lee, 1. In Feng Shui, if one has an `L-shaped' living room or living cum dining room; one should take advantage of (top-down view) of "two rectangular" shaped areas. Imagine here that a partition on one side of the wall with walking space - will imply two rectangle areas. This is the best configuration for an `L-shaped' room/area. 2. If you have a sketch of your existing `L-shaped' layout and/or a proposed sketch; feel free to upload it as a message (Attachment file) for me to make my comments. Otherwise, you may explain further or describe further (Forgive me -- hopefully, I can understand and comment somewhat on it) for you. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carrie, 1. Unfortunately, Feng Shui is not a `cure-all'. 2. Again, we come back to the fundamentals by asking three questions here: 2.1. What is the purpose (aim) of Feng Shui. 2.2. What are it's strength 2.3. What are it's weakness 3. Overall, Feng Shui is about trying to improve one's earth luck. Other Chinese divinity methods have the same objective of trying to improve one's luck. 4. For helping to sell a property - we can still " use " Feng Shui but for a different purpose. 4.1 For example, if the vacant plot of land has good Feng Shui or even if a house has good Feng Shui. 4.2 We can `try' to market it in the hope that the buyer -- may coincidentally believe …
