Dear Charles, It is best to look at two charts and see which is the better chart. As the Flying Star or the birth chart of the house differs in each door direction. Yes, if you are `changing' the door or using a backdoor to become a main door, then, you can do so. 1. However, this existing backdoor should not be smaller than your present main door. 2. It should open inwards, 3. If the main door has two doors (left and right) - it is best to have this configuration. 4. The new `main door' should also have the house number placed on it. 5. However, based on the concept of " If one no longer sees it, it does not become a - threat ".
