Dear Tam, 1. For the kitchen, even in Traditional Feng Shui practise, there are many `controversies' relating to the location of the stove. And even confusion over the stove or on the entire Kitchen. 2. One of the reasons is because there is (no where in the house) that has the two water and fire elements `close by'. Please see below:- A. Some practioners say that the Kitchen (plus stove) should be the auspicious sector for the breadwinner. Some say that it should be more important for it to be the auspicious sector for the spouse (who uses the kitchen). It is not wrong for some practioners to say that the stove can be at an inauspicious sector as it burns the inaus…

Dear Ross, Frankly, a lot of sites which you now see with Time Zone factors are actually created by Modern Feng Shui Masters. In fact, there was no such thing in traditional calcuation. The only true way you should apply timezone is not just by GMT factor, but truely to take the true location factor (ie long. and lat.). However, even this is very dangerous as if you just get one degree off, your analysis will be completely off by a great deal. From our experience, we find that you shouldn't waste too much time to factor in these GMT changes. Why? 1. Most concepts are truely based on like YEAR of birth which by itself is already flawed in that it does not consider day …

Dear Benjamin, 1. Currently, I understand that you are applying the Eight House Theory. 2. The most popular use of the Eight House Theory is:- 2.1 To find out how suitable the house is to the breadwinner. If the main entrance direction happens to be the death/disaster sector - particulary to the breadwinner than, this house is considered the `most' unsuitable for the breadwinner. 2.2 Do note that under the Eight House Theory one clue is that one must spent time at a sector in order to get the influence. Thus, it does not matter (as much) if say your death sector is in the toilet. Especially if one does not spent so much time there. 2.3 It is good to find out what is the i…

These are some considerations:- 1. Your question is too (too) general. 2. For example, see attachment. There is a difference if your home's frontage is at B, C, D or E. 3. Other considerations include how the water drains from the home out of the home premises. 4. Any water position e.g. large canal behind the home or if the home is facing a T-junction etc... 5. There are frankly too many unanswered questions. 6. Equally important is the top-view or helicopter view of outline of the whole house and whether the home is squarish /rectagular or same trapeezoid outline of walls. 7. Frankly, in such a "state"; might as well flip a coin: Heads (auspicious) Tails (inauspi…

  5. (Actually I did write a longer article but it was lost when I tried to post pictures with it. So on the second attempt, I didnt write ingreater details cos I was worried that all the writing will be lost again) Sir, 9ms 7ws was described as "fortunately there is weak fire to control the bad star #7's weak metal, but it is insufficient so make use of red to control metal". I have beenkeeping theMaitreya Buddha's statuein my wardrobe for three years but I decided to put it there now with the dual purpose of hopefully activating my mt star as well as to make offerings of coins. You'll notice that there are already some $1 coins there already. In the past in another house, I …

    1. Honestly, as all of us know, for an apartment, there is no way we can relocate a toilet. 2. In previous forum messages, I had mentioned that often it takes more than 3 or more MAJOR"leaks" to make the Feng Shui negative in a home or apartment. 3. Thus, a toilet at the centre of the apartment is considered as just ONE MAJORleak. 4. Therefore, in your case, if you are applying Feng Shui; then make sure that your apartment has no more than 2 or more MAJOR leaks. 5. The most sensible approach or rather common sense approach is to read up the following:- The Concept of Maximizing Marks

Appended by Cecil: Thank you. I have observed that. It appears that the site plan is oriented at a slightly different angle compared to the "amenities" page. I am concerned that, despite the use of a good protractor, it may not be precise. Therefore, it is not satisfactory. --- I apologize, but I do not possess the project brochure. However, I was able to locate the North compass marking on the location map beneath Amenities. I hope this information is helpful. Best regards,

    1. Since I believe she (could) be in Malaysia; it is worth considering getting expert help i.e. from a Geomancer in your country. 2. As frankly, short description(s) like what you had mentioned; is difficult to evaluate upon the limited information given. As it is also looking at whether the river is parallel to; curved in or outwards; which direction the water flows in relation to her new home. 3. Usually, there is another element: especially for older homes close to a river is the concern of white termites - this is controllable and not Feng Shui.

Can I check with you for Riversails condo, if need to compare stack 12,15, 31 & 34 fengshui, which stack will have better fengshui? All 4 stacks faces the Upper Serangoon Road, but only Stack 34 have unblock river view. Other 3 stacks are facing the upcoming BTO flats. Appreciate your opinion on houses facing the road.

What happens if Block 15 isreplaced by a flat area such as a pool? It could be worse if we imagine that the area occupied by Block 15 is a flat piece of land and the blocks are aligned in a U shape with the opening exactly at West facing If so, the three pools will get maximum exposure all day long and thus greater rate of evaporation of pool water.

  12. I am looking to buy this house, the main door faces away from the road, but when I go to the kitchen, there is a carpark behind which seems to come directly at the house. I have attached a photo of what looks like from the kitchen. Is there any issue from the google maps that you see? Also this unit is on the second floor. Really need your help in this. Thank you for your help!! Added by Cecil Lee: I have deleted the two streetmap attachments to ensure privacy.

Yes, I have a graphic drawing under the reading materials showing that it is inauspicious to have a road behind the house. Usually, there are a few ways to neutralise this:- 1. It can be neutralised by having e.g. a bri ck wall or a fence with `privacy' screen or plants that `grow' on the fence. 2. Behind the fence if it is possible to grow some plants that one day become `bushes' that act as a screen. What we are trying to do is to symbolically use plants or if there is a brick wall to create a `solid backing' for the site. If the above is `done', this means that there is a protective backing behind the house even if you can view it at your first level, this is consider…

    1. If you intend to DIY Feng Shui then, there are a host of concepts relating to first finding out whether are there are "wealth leaks" say in your home:-http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/Main_Page#Key_Success_Factors_in_D.I.Y._Feng_Shui 2. Thus what you had mentioned is too general to say for sure what is wrong. 3. Alternatively, you may want to consider getting a Geomancer to "troubleshoot" for you e.g. your home Feng Shui etc...

Dear Anon, 1. Pendulum Clock Yes, to some Feng Shui practitioner, it is a much better `cure' than say a " wind chime " as the `tick-toc' provides a constant `metallic' sound. 2. Rocking Chair This is "less well known" but has been used by some (more modern) FS practitioners, recommend it. Firstly, it has to go well with their clients. On the other hand, some FS practitioners may consider it less auspicious because of its rocking movement (unstable) as opposed to a solid and stable chair. Some of whom have solid armrests and some of the armrests have elaborate carvings on them. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Usually, the advise is not to use too many crystal balls. This case was because, this person used trial and error Feng Shui and would place a cluster e.g. more than 5 or 6 crystal balls at a particular location. It happened that he placed the crystal ball at a location, nothing happened and he placed more at the particular location. Therefore, there is a difference between using one crystal ball and over indulgence using so many crystal balls. We have to clearly understand the distinction between the two. I am thus concerned if one `over indulge' or `over eats' in such a situation. 2. At another location, he bought a water fountain and pla…

Hi, In a " cold " country, it is acceptable to have a chimney. It is a good feature to have in such houses especially in the winter as it provides warm to the household. You can say that it is the near equivalent of the stove if we want to see it that way. A stove is a very important part of the home. However, we may perhaps look at the positioning of the chimney. This is considered a more important factor. I remembered that a few persons also written in much earlier (in the previous forum) that in their country, they have water pipes running along the floor of the house. If I am not mistaken it is Sweden. - Hope my memory is correct here). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear John, In my opinion as far as the Feng Shui of the house is concerned -- majority of the cures relate to placement of 6 coins. Frankly, so far, I have quite of RC clients and in this website... there is no compulsion to place or advice given to place inside the house things that you had mentioned. For six coins, as a cure under Flying Star Feng Shui, users in Singapore has an alternative of using 6 Singapore 1 dollar coins. (As shown under the following url - file reference: 6coins1.jpg:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=6+coins&cat=all&bool=and&x=7&y=9 Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mara, This type of reasoning does not seem logical. It is like saying that the world is SQUARE? I can understand Muslims, having to pray facing Mecca and when they die and buried, their body i.e. head to legs face Mecca. This is a Muslim's belief. But, East? Why not West? or South? Frankly, if it is suppose to apply to the masses, then, this is a total untruth. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sonia, I took quite sometime to reply to your mail because, with the limited information, that you have provided below; it is difficult to `pin-point' your problems. An `L' shaped house need not be all too bad. In fact, if one is using Feng Shui, there are many types of analysis. What you have mentioned is focused only on a specific sector and in the interior of the house. Please see below:- If you have a bathroom door between your bed, one can place a side table and a table lamp on top of it. Under Feng Shui, it symbolises a `partition' between the two. If you feel uncomfortable with the two mirrors facing each other, a `cheap' alterative is to place a opague fi…

I have been married for 3 years and my marriage is on the rocks. During this time I met a wonderful person whom I am deeply in love with. He reciprocates my love but unfortunately doesnt seem ready to give me a commitment. Will the placing of romance cures like mandarin ducks and / or cystals in the southwest corner of the house benfit me or are those meant specifically for conjugal bliss ???

  25. Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, it is difficult to redress a sloping ceiling unless one physically remodel it to a flat roof or use a four poster bed with cloth or lace hanging on the top of the 4 poster support. 2. Usually, a full FS audit would be used to check on the house and there are certain interpretations of the mountain/water star combinations which in some cases reflect "romance" or show an interpretation of romance. Some houses when Feng Shuied may reveal good romance while others bad. Some houses do not reflect any combinations of romance sector. Therefore, Flying Star may or may not reflect these. 3. I therefore, cannot say for sure if the house has any effect. …
