Hi, Cecil. Thank you for your answer. I believe, though, that the way I described the screen was ambiguous. I meant hat the vertices of the panels of the screen were pointing at the dingin table where we sit. Do you see what I mean? \/\/\/\/\screen ____ |____|table I also wanted to ask you: sometimes, blue is said to be wood and sometimes, water. Sometimes, brown is said to be wood and toerhs earth. Which is it? I read that water fourntians in the center of a home can be harmful becasue it drains away qi. SI this true? My final question: There's a building in Hong kong that sits on a hill and has a big square hole through the center of it. It looks like this from the front…

Dear Anon, 1. The test for a real treat is : for us to stand inside of our house - Main door and windows and look out directly. If we do not see a threat slicing straight into our house, this is normally not a threat. 2. However, if it is an angle of a house and it `cuts' into our house, this is considered a threat. 3. For office buildings, reflective glass can be considered as a threat, since it reflects or deflect light. 4. For the home, a threat can seeminly come from the walls of another house. For example, if the afternoon sun, shines onto this wall, and from our window, we get a really bad reflective glare, this can be considered as deflected, sha qi. A simple solut…

Dear Aquino, 1. Grey represents "water element". 2. Usually a harmonious colour e.g. external walls that can blend with this "water element" is white. This is because under the Five elements concept: `Metal' supports `Water' element 3. This is why, if one looks carefully at the `colour' wheel chart; and most "normal" Interior designers IDs/architects will often recommend white walls with this grey colour. I don't mean therefore to say that some IDs or architects can be "abnormal". 4. But often on an asthetic level we often do not see earth tones such as yellow, cream or beige or even peach go with this type of grey colour. 5. More often the orange redish tile (fire elem…

One has to be careful of the compass marking. As sometimes a sector may straddle between two sectors. In general, it looks more like a protusion. If so, look up at the chart I provided earlier.

Hi, This is different from having a roof over a landed property. Here, if you are using e.g. blue tiles, the impact is on your house. But if you are living in a Hi-rise building, with a miniature fountain, this will not impact on your apartment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  6. Sorry, really, no offence; but what you mentioned is pretty common. Even 20 years ago; there are already penthouse especially with jacuzzi on top floors; just that if you are not in the real estate or Feng Shui business; you may not have encountered this. When you mentioned pool at the roof garden; mentally, in my mind; I could easily name several developments with such things. For example, just last year, I audited a unit at Sixth Avenue Ville; which has a roof top pool. Here, one of my clients bought a resale flat that is below the pool. In Singapore, in the 1970's there were already several hotels with roof top pools. There are even more condos with swimming pools on …

  7. Dear Richard, Please see below:- In authentic heaven and earth luck assessment, here are the main considerations: 1. It would be a disadvantage for a weak fire or strong water person especially the breadwinner to have a water position inside his / her home. 2. In authentic Feng Shui; the true `meaning' or the closest to a wealth corner for a water position is thru the application of Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, locations that have #6 or #7 and if the condition - is applicable; can exist with water position. Often, and depending on the Managing Agents or later, the MCST; such areas are common property. And, some condos have strict rules on placing anything a…

Hi, If you are mentioning that the roof above your own home has a pointed roof, in this situation, it is not a poison arrow. It then becomes a poison arrow to the opposite house if it is on the same `level' and when it points towards the main door of the neighbour's house. I hope, I got your question correctly. Warmest Regards Cecil

Dear Pam, I really can't get a good look at the picture. Only could see a little bit of the roof, not even sure what colour of the roof. If blue/gray, not very ideal colour for roof. As it blue/gray represents water element, and in I-Ching water usually represents difficulty. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sophia, I hope that your sister is OK. Yes, the roof tiles has to be replaced immediately even if she is not around. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  14. Thanks for the illustrations. In my opinion, it looks OK as it is upright without another secondary roof to make it horizontal. And furthermore, the "UP" profile of the house is not duly affected by the turbines as shown in your illustration. Chimneys also protrude and they even have an "opening" at the top. Thus, in my opinion, a no issue interms of Shapes and Forms and/or symbolism in Feng Shui. And the plus point is that it can help circulate qi properly in the home = excellent!

Dear Cecil, My house is devided into 3 areas: main area (guest room, bedrooms, dining room & living room), garage area and kitchen area (kitchen, laundry, storage). The kitchen area is behind the main area and the garage is beside the main area. The height of the roof of the kitchen area is lower than main area's. In other words, front is higher than back. I have heard that back should be higher than front otherwise one will suffer financial problem. The remedies are: a. make the back roof higher than front roof (major renovation) b. install a post at the back so that the back is higher than front So, I plan to move my antenna pole to the back. However, a new problem …

Dear Anon, Under the Eight House or East/West 4 persons concept, priority should (where ever possible) be given to sleeping in a good sector. And only after this, then it is nice to have one sleeping in a good direction. Since, most of us have already moved in or impossible to change rooms etc.. there is not much more than what one can do or `squeeze' out this concept. To improve one's luck further, it is best to use other concepts - instead. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  17. Dear Anon, 1. Priority should be given to the Flying Star Analysis as it takes into consideration the Time Dimension in Feng Shui. 2. However, we have to ask this question: Although Flying Star Analysis takes into consideration the Time Dimension, what is the duration of the Flying Star analysis using the Time Dimension? For example, the usual standard is to do a 20 Year Flying Star and if the practitioner is proactive, would also do a Yearly Flying Star Analysis. 3. For those who use the report at Geomancy-online.com, a full report would include the 20 Year Flying Star, plus the Yearly and Monthly Flying Star analysis. 4. Normally, you should use the 20 Year Flying Star …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: my room is in the west, a little towards the north, which colour should i paint my room? Generally, in order to be able to recommend the best and most suitable colour scheme. We will need to assess your flying star chart for that sector. This way we know what element like Earth (Yellow) or Fire (red) or Wood (green/brown) to avoid. Furthermore, we also need to know your ba zi so as to know what element will best suit you. Otherwise, we can only advise on a general basis. White (Metal) is the most neutral colour that can avoid activating inauspicious stars from your flying star. Then you should based on your ba zi, if you are say a weak wood,…

  19. Dear Emily, 1. I believe that one should not `worry' unduly about the layout in a small room especially a dormitory. 2. All over the world, many students have stayed in a dorm, with just the items that you had mentioned. Plus the rooms are small. Thus, your college dorm is no different. 3. More importantly, it is the quality of life spent to pace yourself in studies and study intelligently and consistent work. 4. Recently, a user has attached a sketch of his layout plan. I have `proposed' a layout plan. 5. If you want to do the same i.e. if you have the time, try to use one of the drawing programs with your PC and sketch the layout. Where possible, you can also draw the i…

Dear Anon, 1. Other methods include hanging beaded curtains. Or have a side table and placing a lamp on it if say the bed is facing the door of both rooms. 2. Alternatively, place a linen cupboard i.e. it can be a low one inside one of the rooms. The above are the best alternatives. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In the 1920?s in Germany two researchers, Winzer and Melzer, discovered that areas of Stuttgart that were located above five major geological fault lines had th…

The Base Star. 2. The Water and Mountain Stars. Further to what I had mentioned, 1. I can only think of one acceptable logic for placing a piggy bank at a prominent location: this has more to do with psychology. 2. Usually, if someone tells us that a specific location is our wealth corner; we would consciously try to keep the place clear of other items. 3. And often when we pass thru this location, we may either sublimally think of money (earning money) or happy seeing money on our table. 4. Other than this explanation, it does not mean literally, by doing so, e.g. placing multiple $50 dollars or more notes or stacking fake notes into this bowl or piggy bank. Money cannot automatically fall down a hole thru the sky la…

Dear Joan, I am really not sure whether I should let you know this case. I believe sometime back as far back as 1999 or earlier, there was this example of underground water (or sewerage pipe) running under a house. And so happens that this German study, mentioned that there was a high incidence of cancer where beds were placed either above this pipe or close to it. Perhaps, maybe the pipes had corroded or etc... We do not know. Where possible, as you had mentioned, try to place your furniture especially sitting position as far away from the pipes. Warmest Regards, Cecil
