Hit d, In such a house, you will have to divide the house equally in the eight pie. The apply the cures that fall within that sector of influence. If possible try to see whether how much the sector falls under that sector. Usually the bigger sector will have greater influence. Put the cure in the center of that sector of influence based on the Eight Pie division. Just placed one cure in that sector. Meaning that if the cure placed falls in the Master bedroom and Bedroom, you place the cure on the wall between the bedroom, then it will then correct the influence for that sector. Sometimes it can be hard to explain. If you have a layout, I can tell better advise you what…

Dear Cecil, Just to clarify for other users,I believe the Black Sect you mentioned is also known as the Black Hat School. Most books I have read follow this school, by laying a template (usually an octagon and what they call Ming Tang, or center) over the floor plan of the house. Thank you for explaining more about Black Hat/Black Sect. --Joe

Dear Anon, This area has more to do with beliefs by some people or from advise provided by practitioners. The rationale for some people who do not view roosters is that: Roosters seems `picky' or combative. Quite often some get hold of two roosters to fight and wager on bets. And some consider the characteristics of roosters as `sharp' tongued. Thus, due to this symbolism, roosters (symbols) are considered not favourable in the home. As I mentioned, this area has more to do with beliefs than Feng Shui. Personally, I find placing a rooster figurine no harm. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Corinne, 1. The rooster, with its distinctive red crown, could perhaps be thought off by some practitioners as belonging to the fire element. 2. Alternatively, it could also be thought off as a metal element because its sector is West or (Metal element). 3. Frankly, there is no evidence to suggest that a picture of a rooster would be effective to stop the `burring of wealth'. If you like or enjoy the picture, you may consider to place it. 4. But, some Feng Shui practitioners caution that the `rooster' symbolises `fighting cocks'. It is common even till today to see rooster matches and gambling to see which rooster wins. Some of the matches are quite cruel because th…

Part II: 20-Year Reigning Period: 8 (2004-2023) Block direction: S3 (195) Compass direction: 187.5 to 202.4 For units along 20, 19, 24, 23 and 28 and 27 and should it qualify for the above, can also be equally auspicious. Since, under Period 8, where these homes will be Period 8 homes: under this Flying star Feng shui, S3: mountain star is = #8 water star = #8 with base = 3 Implication: [8] & [8] - Prosperity, good wealth. Therefore, considered very auspicious under Period 8. For a #8 with #8 and base 3, facing the water position, do allow for clear space e.g. such as the balcony facing virtual water (clear space). For units that qualify under this area, DO not b…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is it advisable to live in an apartment fully round in shape? Generally, a square house is still the best. A fully round shape house will still be considered having missing corners at all 4 corners. So generally, will not be as good as a square shaped house. Furthermore, it will be extremely dificult to put in most furnitures that are basically designed in rectangular shape. The only good thing is being round, it can help defend against most sha qi as the building is like cutting outwards against other building. But generally, better to still stick to a square shaped house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center…

These are some considerations:- 1. I would agree if the logic was because if one has a narrow or small living room, such an L-shaped sofa may not go well with the interior decor, that is all. 2. A sofa is always low height and I don't see the logic that it may result in an in-balance due to = sharp corner. 3. If one says that then, logically; rectangular dining tables or even squarish rectangular coffee table (if one buys the above argument implies that these are greater threats. 4. In Singapore, in my opinion, I often encounter modern homes with l-shaped sofas. At least 3 out of ten homes have them as this is like a lazy bed in thr living room.

Dear Tom, 1. From what I understand, rubber trees was originally imported into Singapore botanic gardens. 2. Later on, because of the significance of latex, rubber trees were grown particularly in West Malaysia where the sap is `milked' and carefully made into latex sheets. These sheets are very smelly. 3. When I was young, I remembered my grandparent (mother's side) own a rubber plantation and I particularly liked `playing' with the seeds.. where, one rubs it on a surface e.g. tile and it heats up and feels warm to the touch. 4. Rubber trees can grow particularly tall and I believe what you mentioned is only a plant. If it is planted in a pot, the tree would not grow lar…

Dear Anon, For the Jacuzzi, please take note of the following:- 1. It must not be at the centre-point of the house. 2. One wall of the toilet should share the same wall as the exterior wall. This is to ensure that it cannot be at the centre of the house. 3. If the person's element is Strong Water or Weak Fire, best to avoid owning a jacuuzi. 4. The size of the jacuuzi plus the toilet area must not be equal to the size of the bedroom. The bedroom must be bigger. The jacuuzi must not exceed 33.33 percent of the entire `floor area' of the bedroom plus the toilet together with the jacuzzi. Warmest Regards, Cecl

Dear All 1. As mentioned earlier, the key sucess factor in applying one of the principles of the Five elements is to try to harmonise the use of it. 2. For example, it is not ideal to place two elements e.g. Fire element and Water element `next to each other'. 3. Here, if we refer to the Five Elements concept, we should introduce a third element e.g. Wood element. 4. Under the Productive Element flow, we will now get: Water -> Wood (the above missing element)-> Fire. 5. I find the best example for understanding the productive cycle of the five elements is the following:- Assuming this house or office is at the ground level. If one looks out of the house or office, t…

In my opinion, like any other fields; a parallel is in medicine; the term "Triage" is very important. In Feng Shui also, holitistic Feng Shui is also about applying both Shapes and Forms and Compass School Feng Shui. The most important key term is: the Forms (Shapes and forms) determine the Stars and the Stars determine the fate of the people living in that home. If you are able to correctly fix "leaks" in the home or even know where to enhance qi; then this is the best senario. If you are able to DIY correctly; often crucial leaks can be many forms. Under Flying Stars; in your case, a high success factor is to zoom in and especially try to neutralise #3. Maybe it is pre…

Dear Jacuqeline, In my opinion, perhaps, the breakdown of electrical appliances may be a coincidence. Especially if it is a rented place and is not most of the items are not new. Perhaps, it is best to monitor the situation, first. Since you are new to Feng Shui, do try to read up more - especially on the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, For the ground floor, since there is a garage, best to close the garage door when not in use. Once this is done the middle door can still be left open without further issue. Thus if this is done, no longer compulsory to place the plants. For upper floors, try to close any one of the middleroom doors will do. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. You wrote: I have read where purple and green should not be used in the kitchen this year 2. Even when applying Feng Shui; geomancers usually would look at the 20 Year Flying Star of the apartment and access the colours (if any to avoid). 3. But your statement seems so either short-sighted or impratical. 4. To most people reading it; it can sound like you either gona renovate or change the colours yearly or really don't know what to say... 5. From a general Feng Shui perspective, for the kitchen one colour that should generally be avoided is BLUE colour e.g. blue laminated kitchen cabinets. As blue belong to the Water element and may clash with the stove position. 6…

Please help! I am trying to feng shui my new apartment that I just bought. I need to really focus my energies on my relationship and career sections. My apartment is "S" shaped so I am potentially missing 2 sections depending on how you overlay the bagua. My issue is that my door opens into a wall of a hallway. After entering the apartment you immediatelty turn left and walk down the hall. (see picture below) Can I have the door in my "skills and knowledge" section or does it have to be in my "helpful people" section? The "D" are doors and "w" are windows. ------------------------ [ ] clst ] W ]__D__]__________ [ bedroom D D bathroom ] W ]__D _]__________W [ ] ] …

Dear Cecil, there are 2 brothershttp://forum.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_question.gif Question, kua 5 (2male) and kua 4 male moving into a town house with 3 stories, build in period 7 facing S1 (159 degree), with the main door in SE. The house had been vacant for at least 2 years and this month we been doing all interior painting and the fence before we'll move in. So the questions are: 1. Is the house going to become a period 8 house? If not what is going to be the strength of the double 7 red star in the facing palace? Suggesting any cure? 2. Bedrooms being in the back part of the house NW-N for kua 2 and N-NE for the kua 4 and both being artists (hip-hop, song wr…

Sorry to break it to you all, but these days you must seperate the truth from the lies. For the true believers of such fake feng shui practices such as ''Black Hat Sect'' and ''Eigth Mansions'', take a moment to read this forum post and understand why it is, indeed, fake as i have mentioned. FACT #1:These so-called feng shui practices were created some odd 20 or 30 years ago by some chaps who think they could take feng shui (a very, very ancient practice) and alter it to there likings based on there views. Which brings me to the next fact..... FACT #2:As i mentioned before, REAL feng shui (that being compass and form school feng shui) is a very ancient practice CREATED SOM…

Dear Anon, Frankly, there is no mircle feng shui solution for a successful sale of a business. So far only possible thing you can do is to try to choose luck dates or ensuring you wear more favourable colours during your meeting with the potential buyer. Probably only additional feng shui method is to quote some feng shui benefits. Maybe it will help change the buyer's mind. You will probably want to take a look at non-feng shui solution, ie painting the walls to make the place look clean and tidy. In addition, list out the reasons why the place is good and stress on it. Frankly, if the place is as good as you say, then probably you are not advertising it well enough …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have placed a salt & coin in the west sector of the apartment for a month. Initially the water in the jar was milky with lots of bubbles. But recently the water is getting clearer and the salt has evaporated (almost completely). Is this normal? Can anyone please advise what I should do next? Should I change the water & add new raw salt in the jar or start a new salt & coin? Yes, it is normal as the various chemical process has already been used up however, how fast or slow depends on theproportion of the water containersize and number of coins. So, it is best to change it after a few months. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Rob…

Dear Anon, Yes, in a global world, there are many practises in relating to "getting" rid of bad luck. Salt is used more widely in the west than the east or Far East. Although we use it to throw into used toilet when we get a re-sale home. So you are not wrong in coming down with using that practise of using salt. Here, in the Far East, our common way of "getting rid" of bad luck is also to get a bathe, first. And afterwards, (we already had prepared say a plastic basin/tub filled with local flowers and a few cut-up lime). So immediately after we had bathed (cleansed) ourselves, we would "flower bathe) by pouring this flower-lime-water onto our heads and let it flow …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Just want to know if salt lamps are good for feng shui when placed in the house. Thank you very much. Generally, salt lamps are made from salt crystal rocks. Generally, it is not really a feng shui item or product. Just a decorative form of lighting feature. No issue in general to use it. In terms of best feng shui location, it is related more towards crystal. Under the feng shui, areas where there is auspicious mountain star (ie star 8/9/1 for period 8 houses, or 7/8/9 for period 7 houses), should benefit from having some form of mountain star feature. Typically a crystal or mountain picure. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEO…
