Dear Janne, If you can draw a sketch using one of the paint programs or scanned image, you can upload it together with your forum message under this forum. However, it is preferred to upload a small file i.e. under .jpg format or less than 250,000 K file. I believe a sketch would be easier to understand then the description. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  2. Dear S L, 1. If one visits some Feng Shui site(s); one may come across quotes like " 60% or 70% of one's Heaven Luck can be " changed ". 2. In the olden days; if one is fairly rich or well to-do or say of the middle income would: 2.1 Marriage Many would seek professional advise to see if the Ba Zi of the couples match or clash? If the match is good; the wedding would normally take place. 2.2 Birth of Child Immediately after the birth of a child; for example; the grandfather or the father of the child would normally consult a Geomancer. For example if the child lacks `water' element; " Water " would be included in his/her name to compensate the shortfall. 2.3 Ba Zi Feng Sh…

Dear Rosie, 1. If you can upload a sketch of your house, I can help you to determine the centre-point of the house. Or to see if there is indeed a missing corner or it's significance. Here, either the Eight house or Flying Star can be used to help analyse the house. As to what u mentioned: I use Usually, these options should be treated more as part of `interior' design or something one "likes" rather than to improve the energy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Liang, Under the Shapes and Form Feng Shui, it is preferred not to have an air well in the middle of the house. However, from the illustration, you had provided, it looks like the air well is at one side of house. It is advisable not to place a water feature especially close to the centrepoint of the house as this is `bad Feng Shui'. This is because water (under I-ching implies difficulty) and a water position there would not be ideal. It would equally not be good to plant a lone tree there as this is equally bad Feng Shui. In your case, try to leave a clear space i.e. you can if you want to have small pots of plants within the air well. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rochiel, 1. In my opinion, paying homage to a sector i.e. SW = Romance sector is too general to be applied to everyone in the world. 2. Can I confirm, how NW was derived as your Romance sector? 3. I believe, the size and types of crystals are really material objects and should merely serve as an interior decorative object. As there is no relation with the Five Elements Concept - which is the key to Traditional Feng Shui. 4. Then how are elements treated under the Five Elements Concept? 4.1 Under the Five elements concept, for example if we need to apply a `CURE'; we make sure that the cure can be EFFECTIVE. Here, this is where for example: 6 coins can be used to neut…

Dear Vijay, Yes, it is not Feng Shui but rather Pillars of Destiny that can help one to draw a Company Logo or the visiting card. For example, if you are a weak wood, having a logo in blue, with wavy lines helps to strengthen your weak self with water, or using a logo in yellow or brown, and with a square shape does help you increase your wealth deities. Dear Rochiel, In my opinion, it is very diffcult to apply `sector' Feng Shui to one's life. As Feng Shui is all about luck, it would be best that one applies a holistic approach in trying to increase one's luck. However, under Flying Star Feng Shui, there is the #mountain / #water combination and for certain houses, their will be abundant romance luck; while for other houses non-exisitent. What can we learn from this? It is not always easy to rely soley on " Feng Shui " for our romance luck. And pin our hopes in it. We would have to "actively" pursit romance.. either letting friends know etc.... As to having flowers real or artificial; in my opinion, it is acceptable in …

  9. Dear Rochiel, The idea of utilizing beneificial Qi is to ensure that it comes into the house and meanders (slowly) before exiting out of the house. Here, the chief concern is to prevent Qi from coming into the door and exit directly out of any area (window/door). I believe, you case is common. This is where, you can close the side of the sliding door that is in direct view of your entrance door. And open the other side of the sliding door. This (I believe) would help solve your problem. Dear Phila, 1. As much as we should try to see if family members can be `placed' at favourable locations; this may not be possible; most of the time. 2. In my opinion, first priority should go towards placement based on Shapes and Form Feng Shui. 3. Here, the following considerations should be made:- 3.1. As mentioned under Para 2, top (first) priority must be given to placement under Shapes and Forms. 3.2 One should not `fit' the sitting positions e.g. of the `office' furniture and as a result; the flow in the dinning room becomes `odd' or bad. 3.3 You should consider, where the `entrance' / window areas are in the dinning room and place furniture that is functional. 3.4…

Dear Mogford, In my opinion, if one considers a small apartment i.e. studio / bachelor's apartment: 1. Usually, the Feng Shui of the building and site should be considered. As this has the greatest influence on the unit i.e. or small apartment. 2. It is difficult to apply Feng Shui concepts especially the Flying Star and even the Eight House theory especially since the apartment is small. However, these concepts can be applied but as mentioned under Para 1; in my opinion, it is still best to relate it to the entire building. 3. One has to remember that majority of times, Feng Shui is applied to a large area and is used to find a city. 4. Under micro Feng Shui, it is the …

Dear Albert, Thank you for your information. 1. For the graves, once it is exhumed properly and if there are no longer any more graves (left) on the site; the graves would usually not pose a problem. 2. As mentioned earlier, with construction activity that may usually take 2 years or more would effectively, neutralise any of the points under Para 1. 3. Although the land is on a slight depression, I believe normally the developers would first lay the foundation and most likely the car parks would be underground. The first level apartments would normally be higher than the depression. 4. It would be acceptable for the MRT tracks to run parallel (and this would not create …

You could try bringing energy into the room with a small pet that would move around the space. Not fish in a bedroom though. Get a pet that sleeps at night, hamsters keep you awake. Hot milk just before bedtime helps. Dont allow tvs, record players or computers in the room as they can be a distracting influence.

Dear Anon, Please see below:- It would not be advisable to have you rhead face the direction of the entrance to your room (door?). Alternatively, one should not sleep based on the `coffin' position with the legs facing the bedroom door. I know of some FS practitioners who would not mind: 1. as mentioned by u leaving a 45 degree hollow. 2. leaving the bed at the centre of the bedroom where the bedhead does not rest (at least against a wall). In my opinion, the above positions are not ideal or inauspicious - to me. Although your description of South = Fire is correct; any thing else, mentioned by you is hard to apply and there is no basis to say that South = you…

Dear Mr. Lee, Thank-you for this forum! I have been house-hunting for over a year. I purchased the "Finding a Good House " report and am delighted ! A house built in 1884-85, facing North has been on the market for nearly 3 years. The address is 610. A little used side street ends directly in front of the house. You can see way down this street when standing on the porch (good phoenix?) or is this shar chi energy running into the house? The back yard slopes downward- again bad form? The house is nearly a perfect rectangle, which I know is good form! I am trying to weigh out everything about this house. My birth date is 12/07/59. Thanks ever so much, Cynthia

Dear Derek, Based on the little information provided, you may have to use your personal feeling to determine where you feel comfortable with the placement of a fish tank. Bear in mind that the living room should have clear space and the fish tank can be e.g. a conversation piece or against a wall, where you and your family feel comfortable with. Normally, the Flying Star chart is used to find out if there is any imbalance (if any) at the location where one wants to place a fish tank. Or, because a specific location can activate the water star. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tulip, 1. In my opinion, the most important thing to do is to make sure that the position of the bed conforms firstly to Shapes and Form Feng Shui. 2. This is where, the bed should preferably not be placed on the same wall as the bed. 3. Preferably, the bed sould be on the opposite wall as the bedroom door. 4. It should not be on the same wall as the toilet bowl. 5. The placement of bed to `conform' to the Eight House Theory should be of SECONDARY importance ONLY after Shapes and Form Feng Shui has been taken into consideration. 6. One should avoid placing the bed at odd angles such as e.g. at a 45 degree angle leaving a triangle `hollow' at the back of the bedroom …

Dear Val, In my opinion, with the little information available, it is difficult for me to say exactly for sure if the house you intend to buy is good or not. As you are buying it for an investment; it will be good if the house has good/excellent Shapes and Form. And under Shapes and Form, usually the plot of land and its surroundings has to be surveyed first. After which, other Feng Shui concepts and theories should also be used to look at the interior of the home. For investment, sound financial considerations should be made such as how well the property can be rented out; its rent value etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

The only significance is that when it is associated with a monkey... a monkey and bee implies the hope for a promotion. I believe, that it is certainly a good sign for you:) Wishing you all the best on your new job! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Curtis, Please see below:- I am glad that you found the advise useful. For a split level house; it should not apply as what we would like to have is to apply the concept of clear space in the living room and the steps leading up to the split-level i.e. dining is part of this feature. Thus, in your case, there is certainly no need to use a partition. The partition or divider should be used if there is some adverse sha qi such as a toilet facing the main entrance. Here, you have to understand the following: 1. If you are doing a Feng Shui audit to determine which is the main entrance door; then, it would be a main concern as to which door to use to analyse …

Dear Gwen, 1. It is interesting to look at this concept first: " Accumulation of wealth ". 2. The key essence or key success factor; regarded by many Feng Shui Masters is to look at a piece of land i.e. be it as large as a city e.g. Canton and determine to see if the piece of land can be considered as `good' i.e. help to accumulate wealth for the residents or those within the `city'. 3. In Hong Kong, many millionaires or multi millionaires; consult a Feng Shui master to look at the site / plot of land on which they want to built their home. The key idea here is that the site can aid in the `accumulation of wealth'. 4. The Dragon Qi (Chi) For a city, it should be observed …
