Dear Anon, Based on what you had mentioned, the newly insatlled lamp post does not seem to be a threat. A threat is where, if one stands at the window or door and looks outwards directly ... and if it slices into the house, this may be a problem for those staying there. Usually, if there is a `leak' in the house, it may not necessarily come from the `L' shape house. As `L' shaped houses need not necessarily be affected in this way. Dear Yew-Meng, 1. Overall, the chief concern of the White-Tiger is in-effect symbolism. 2. Here, the worst senario is to have a water position "above it". Especially a circular pool or pond. 3. One can than imagine, the `flat' pool of water as simply the open `hungry' mouth of the tiger. This is inauspicious as it `needs food' or nurishment. 4. As for the underground electricial cables, in my opinion, I feel that it is not a threat at all. The White tiger is not exactly bad. Dear Anon, Based on the Holy Trinity of Luck, Man (Human) Luck is easier to work on. ie moresocialisation, getting opportunities to meet potential partyetc. This is much better then depending on those items you mentioned, as they are more for decorative purpose. Dear Hung, If one applies the Compass School of Feng Shui: Eight House (Ba zai) and/or Flying Star Feng Shui the basis of this School has to do with the magnetic compass and not geographical compass. Thus, for any home / office /building /site investigated via the Compass School of Feng Shui, a magnetic compass has to be used to determine the magnetic north and other cardinal points etc... For the purpose of evaluating any site / building or interior, one has to determine the "center-of-gravity" or the centrepoint of say the layout plan of the interior.

Dear Anon, 1. The rationale for some books to say that South is a good direction is because the author felt that South = Fire is suppose to be a good direction for sales / marketing activity. (As Fire represents heighten activity). 2. This does not necessary mean that ALL shops should have their business premise facing south. This is also not feasible especially in a Shopping complex. Look at it this way, many educated people have lived in domitories and were successful after their studies. More... Some Feng Shui practitioners, I understand, are against this, because they were afraid that qi cannot flow underneath a bed. But, there are many families who allow their young ones e.g. age between 1 to 5 years old - to sleep on a mattress on the floor. And in many cultures, often, people sleep on the floor or floor mat. Avoid red colour also at this area (since fire - red colour may further fuel bad earth). 3. For #3, try also to avoid green colour at the frontage. 4.
