Dear Anon, Note: this domain or message, is not Feng Shui but rather Chinese Horoscope based on the Year of birth:- 1. Based on Chinese astrology, the worst "hit" Tiger is the Water-Tiger born under 5 Feb 1962 to 24 Jan 1963 2. While the worst two Monkeys are those born in the year of the Metal-Monkey: 2.1 Metal-Monkey born between 20 Feb 1920 to 7 Feb 1921 2.2 Metal-Monkey born between 16 Feb 1980 to 4 Feb 1981 3. Where possible, these three groups should avoid attending a funeral or if (as a last resort) should not be there to view the closing of the coffin. 4. For buddhists or toaists, under Chinese beliefs, it is good to make an offering at a temple - to receive ble…

I am a Kua 4 east person and I understand for me to have a bedroom located in the North East is a bad thing since it is my death location. I unfortunately purchased a condo (not realizing) my bedroom is or part of my bedroom is located in the North East. Help, need some much needed advise on how I can fix the problem or cure the negative energy? Or if I sleep with my head pointed in one of my good directions could that be a cure for having a bedroom in the North East? I very much appreciate any assistance from someone with some qualification on Feng Shui can give me..... Please. Thank you so much Tamara

Dear Sandra, Often, this is not a major flaw. To some people, this is a non-issue. However, the simplest method is to use one's personale.g. table cloth or any cloth that is of appropriate length. One simply covers this bookshelf. For example if there are two shelves, for the lower shelf: 1. simply remove all the books from the first shelf. 2. Next, take a piece of cloth: fold it to the appropriate length; use part of it to cover the base of the first shelf. 3. Next, place back the books. Now, with these books on top of this cloth, it acts like a temporary cover for the lower book shelf. Often, the upper bookshelve is much higher and no issue. If one still wants to te…

Dear Sanjay, 1. In my opinion, the most logical approach is based on the "reflective concept". 2. What this means is that in Feng Shui, we now often see buildings with highly reflective (sun-x) coated glass. These glass surface on these buildings are highly reflective. And in Feng Shui, this can become a sha qi to others. 3. Thus, like the idea of the ba gua mirror (reflecting back bad luck etc..) a shiny glass e.g. window mirror is one resort. 4. The other `last resort' situations are: 4.1 Often in Taiwanese Feng Shui, plants or trees are commonly used. Is there a possibility of planting plants to reduce the sha qi. As this is based on the concept: "If it is not seen, i…

Overall, this is not directly related to Feng Shui. Frankly, I am not familiar with this area i.e. Aromatherapy. Perhaps, you can find out more from Global Shops like the " Body Shop " etc... In Feng Shui, smells can be classified as under one of the Five Elements. For example, peppery smell goes towards the Fire element etc... I have not done any research into this area so unable to comment further. Warmest Regards Cecil is there any information on what aromas are associated with certain elements and colors. what is the best aroma for a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room?

Dear CJ, Again, here you still do not understand how Flying Star analysis works. 1. A house will have a flying star based on the year it was built. Meaning if it is built anytime before 1984-2003, this will make it a period 7 house, with a 20-year chart showing period 7 star as the base star. This will not change unless you effect a change to next period 8. 2. Such a period 7 chart will have different luck when you are in period 7 itself, and a slightly different chart when you view it in period 8. This is due to the fading prosperity effect. Meaning that if you viewed the report in 2000, the stars number 7 will be automatically auspicious, this is because of the spec…

Edited by Robert: I think in such cases you should either get a professional analysis such as a Can or Cannot But review, rather than posting in forum for advise. Cecil is currently very busy as such he hasn't had time to review most of the postings in the forum. Furthermore, each home is unique as such it can be difficult to advise you accurately whether a unit is good or not unless you check whether it suits you or whether it until an analysisis done. I'm worried. Could you advise if Lakeholmz Block 90 Units 20? In fact, we intend to get the lower floor units. The pool faces us as a portrait.

Dear Regina, Let your fingers do the walking......to.... Please visit this message:- Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Feng Shui) on Monday, January 07, 2002 08:06 AM Dear Susan, 1. Attached, please find a graphic illustration of the " rectangular " court-yard + the Chinese (mandarin) character for tree. 2. The two combined is called " KUN " or trapped or imprisoned. 3. This is another aspect of Symbolism in Feng Shui. 4. For such a court-yard, it would be tempting to have some trees in this centre-court yard and thus - one has to be really careful of the implication of it. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee ==== Under this message, one can see a graphic illustration …

Dear Bernard, 1. In the past, I had asked users here to apply a "Three-Step-Approach". Step 1: What is the purpose of the concept? (Or each concept) Step 2: What are it's strengths? Step 3: What are it's weakness? 2. It is best to note down, each concept with reference to these three questions (above). 3. For example, under the Eight House Theory, if one does not spent time at a specific sector, there is nothing else (nor magical) even if a sector is auspicious - based on this concept - one has to spent time at the sector. 4. Distinctively, we humans have our birth chart (Ba Zi or Pillars of Destiny). And homes also has it's specific birth chart based on Flying Star Feng …

Dear Alvin, There are two major considerations, here. Firstly, as you have mentioned: that you are a weak fire person. Therefore, on a hobby level, it is not that advisable to rear fishes given that water can inadvertenly extinguish your weak fire element. However, another major consideration is the "luck" factor of the home. Here, each of us is an individual with our own distinctive date and time of birth. Equally, each home has it's date of birth. Senario ONE 1. The fish tank was placed correctly at the water wealth sector. For example sectors that may have water star #8 (present water wealth location - under Flying star Feng Shui) and sectors like #6 where there …

Dear Catherine, Generally, whether or not a date is auspicious or inauspicious depends on lots of factors. In terms of ba zi, luck is always changing every 10-year, 5-year, yearly, 6-monthly, monthly, daily and hourly. So each person's luck is different from day to day. It is very difficult to tell you for sure which day would be good or bad for you. That is where the general tung shu comes in. Every year, analysis is done to generally tell you when which day is aupicious or not. So most likely what you have read from comes from something similiar. A lot of this also depends on how supertitious and how much you believe. To me anyway, Weddings is joyous occasion. Usual…

Hi! I've been trying to research but could use some feedback. I live in an apartment complex and when you open the front door there is a closet door right across from it, it's also very tight. Then take one step and to the right are stairs, to the left (end of the stairs is a window) I've read the window ( you should put a blind, but my cat loves that window lol). Could a mirror above the window or picture of nature work? I'm planning on putting a crystal from the overhang wall that I can reach over the stairs, and the wall going up with the stairs - I was going to put pictures. On the closet door across from the front door, I was thinking about getting a nature sticker.…

Dear Kwan, 1. I always recommend that one should find out more about each concept using a simple 3 step approach:- Step 1: What is the purpose of each concept? Step 2: What are it's strengths? Step 3: What are it's weakness? 2. For a start, it is always prudent to do some research into the topics: Eight House Flying Star 3. In my opinion, there are already lots of responses to the same question that you had posted. And the many of the past responses deal with such questions. 4. There is no floor plan attached. But appreciate if you can understand that the main aim of this forum is to act as a catalyst and not for everyone to simply post their date of birth. 5. I hope tha…

Dear Peck Wun, Please see below:- In matter what, your home is still a Period 7 apartment. Period 7 spans between 1984 to 2003. Therefore, even if there are several renovations or major renovations done e.g. in 2001, 2002 or even this year; your apartment will still be a Period 7 apartment/house. Where possible try not to do any work at South South-Weat or 210 degrees. If this is at true compass direction South-West, then it is still ok. If you have a compass, try to locate the centerpoint of your home. Stand there and confirm that the location is not South South-West 210 degrees. No, this is minor and no issue. Unless, you need to remove the aircon unit moun…

Dear Sir If we buy a house facing our good direction but the land where the house is to be built is lower than the main road, will this affect the house's fengshui? However, there's a small hill on the other side of the road, ie the back of the house (though not directly behind coz there's a main road separating the houses and the small hill. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Dear Rosie, 1. If you can upload a sketch of your house, I can help you to determine the centre-point of the house. Or to see if there is indeed a missing corner or it's significance. Here, either the Eight house or Flying Star can be used to help analyse the house. As to what u mentioned: I use Usually, these options should be treated more as part of `interior' design or something one "likes" rather than to improve the energy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vun Fook, 1. I really appreciate if users could go thru some of the past resourses in this forum. 2. In particular, I have emphasised many times of the three step-approach: 2.1 What is the purpose of each concept 2.2 What are it's strengths 2.3 What are it's weaknessess 3. Understand Shapes and Forms and Compass School Feng Shui and ba zi, first. Try to do a search on each of what you had mentioned, below and find out there purpose, strengths and weakness. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Crisa, In very general terms, often, some Feng Shui practitioner will look at the direction or location the home is. But this is very general. For example, some FS practitioners could suggest that e.g. since Singapore is in the Southern part of earth, a main door that is white is ok. Since, metal controls fire element. Generally, it is quite common to find doors that are real wood (varnished in different types of wood tone colors) or simply light pastel shades of e.g. neutral colors like white or cream. For the proposed red colored main door, in general, it is best not to be painted if the door is located at the north (water) direction. If possible, it is not fav…

Dear Alan, 1. The first approach is to use the Eight House Theory. This theory is quite interesting because: 1.1. It is used to find out " How suitable a house is to the breadwinner ". 1.2. Next, we look at the layout plan of the house and where the location of the bedrooms are for each person i.e. Husband, wife and children. For example, we try to find out what are the "intangible forces" at each bedroom. Thus, it would be advantages if the sectors in each room e.g. Master bedroom (Husband and wife) and other bed rooms suit each indivdual members of the house. 2. The various reports which you can generate under: http://www.geomancy-online.com are totally Free. This inc…

Dear Joan, In my opinion, this is although not the best position, but it is (based on your earlier description) may seem to be a better position. The only thing is that one may perhaps have to get used to it. However, some of us get used to it, but should you feel uncomfortable, then, may have to revert back to the old. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Please refer to an earlier reply (under this same conference): Free Advice (General Topics) My reply to this question "What is activate? How to activate " 1/11/2002 2. My advise is to find out: 2.1 What is the PURPOSE of each concept or theory 2.2 What are it's weakness and strengths? If one is aware of these two questions, one would be able to understand better the various concepts. 3. The Eight Aspirations/Life Associations concept. 3.1 Purpose?: It is to understand that each Gua (Kua) or each trigram is associated with a `life association'. Such as the Gua tigram at North is associated with `Career'. 3.2 What is it's strengths? Unfortunately, it's streng…

Dear Anon, 1. In general (broad sense); Finance Services has to do with the Metal element. 2. This was because, Finance or Accounting was said to deal with "coins"; thus this is where it has an association with the metal element. 3. However, in the past, careers can be easily classifed. For example, a Merchant is a merchant. A butcher is a butcher. 4. But as most of us are aware, if one is a salaried worker or even working for one's self; there is a high element of "multi-skilling". 5. This is not because our "employer-tax-us-to-death" but because, now adays even a butcher may have to use a computer eg. order goods, surf the web etc... 6. A more accurate way is to look at…
