Dear Kumari, I believe that, you most likely are staying in a hostel. Frankly, it is difficult to `correct' these especially if it is in a `small' room where one has difficulties moving furniture. As a consolation, many have also gone thru the same `situation' as yours and are doing very well. This is not a permanent situation and most of the time you most likely are studying. Furthermore, being young and I believe, with more Yang energy in you. Good Luck in your studies:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sandra, Since you cannot do much in terms of furniture layout, you can consider placing a display small dragon (can be made of glass or other materials) to aim it directly at the edge (or tangent) to the edge of the cabinet. This is a mild form of cure. Other alternatives include placing a fork aimed at the edge or a small toy cannon. I believe you should be able to place e.g. the dragon on the edge of the table such that it can be aimed at the edge and not aimed at your body. I hope this is achievable. If you are unable to have a straight path between e.g. the dragon and the edge of the cabinet, then, it is best not to place one on the table. (If it can `hit' you.)…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Recently, i just had the key for my new house. But I can see 1 or 2 sharp edges of the flats opposite pointing to my living room & every bedrooms of my new house. I heard of this sharp edges are very harmful like a knife. Sowhat can I doto solve this problem? Please help me. I really need your help! Thank you so much. Yes, any shape edges from building across are sha qi. Since it is from another building it not possible to have something blocking the path of the two buildings. One thing is to always ask, how far is that building. If it considered very very far away, then not going to be that bad. So the only practical thing you can to i…

Dear Detroit, Generally, anything sharp pointing towards you is considered a poison arrow. But how bad will depends on how big or how visible the object is as well as how far away is it. If it is a small object that is quite a distance away then it is considered minor. But if is pretty obvious and it points say towards the main door or living room windows etc. Then you may need to try to put say a someplants or if you have afenceor even some roll down blinds if you have some balcony type area etc which can help to block the sha qi. Generally, as long as you cannot see the threat from your main door or living room then it is no longer a big issue. So anything which can…

Dear Anon, Yes, this is considered as a `threat' to the `mouth' (main entrance) of the home. Given this situation: Taiwanese Feng Shui often suggests the use of plant(s). But if this is not possible, see if one can apply the concept: " if it cannot be seen, it can no longer be a threat". The next is the "terroist link" option: Get Bin Laden to help demolish the threat. *JOKE* As a last resort, one may have to consider the placement of a ba gua mirror above the main entrance doo. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wendy, 1. Have you done the flooring yet? If not, you can add a little protrusion where the floor tile radiates in a semi-circle. I have added this info in the forum recently. 2. The resource is available under the conference: Info: Feng Shui Tips & guidelines. The posting is: 'Protective' Main Entrance Floor tile. Or do a SEARCH in this forum for Main Entrance Floor tile. 3. In addition, if the sharp pointed pillar is in your home, is it possible to e.g. grow a creeping plant on it. 4. The next best alternative is check what this pointed pillar is made of? 5. If it is made of wood, then, you can place a 6 rod metal wind chime directly facing it. 6. If it is m…

Dear Anon, There are two practical remedies: 1. Check to see if your glass is reflective. If the facade or wide expanse of glass windows have a coating of sun-x (shiny),if so, or if it has a "mirror" finish, then, it issaid that the poison arrow is reflected back to the origin. 2.I am not too sure ifcertain condos permit sun-x film or a specific type since they always wanted to have a uniform facade or look for the entire condo. If not, sometimes a lighter coloured film can be used in the home, depending on your home. For example, if the home is bathed by the afternoon sun, then, such a film may be considered. But if your home is a north-south facing one, then, adding …

Dear Feng Shui Master, Recently I have purchased an L-shaped apartment before I became interested in Feng Shui. I have read that L-shaped apts have bad feng shui due to missing sectors. I wld like to detail the floor plan as follows: The 3 bedrooms, dining and living room forms the vertical part of the L. The kitchen, yard and store forms the horizontal part of the L. Based on the apatment building facing of S, which gives it a Kan Gua(sitting N), the main door of the apt faces E and is in the Tian Yi sector. Part of the kitchen, which is to the right of the door entrance but seperated by a wall, also resides in the Tian Yi sector. The rest of the kitchen, yard and store…

Hi Master, Would like to get your advice regarding a shelf place (with shoes) outside my opposite neighbour door which I can see clearly when standing near my door when I am inside. Understand that the edge and shelves acts as poison arrows. Have spoken to him before and the previous items (long shoe rack and chairs) were removed. But a few weeks later, new surprises will appear (recently a bigger shelves that was removed and replaced by current shelf). Other than speaking to him again, what can I do to reduce the bad effects of the shelf. As I believe after speaking to him and having the current shelf removed, a week or few weeks later, more surp…

Dear Anon, For the Chinese, in particular, when one is pregnant, one should not move one's bed. This is a taboo. More importantly, don't move your current bed especially before giving birth. Therefore, if possible, try to avoid moving any furniture (if any) inside your bedroom (master bedroom). As for other rooms or hallway furniture, for practical aspects, you should not participate in moving the furnitures. If possible, should there be a need for furniture to be moved at all, for yourself, try not to be around when they (it) the furniture are moved. We live in a practical world, and as mentioned earlier, don't touch your bedroom furniture... is good enough. Warmes…

Dear Chris, Chris Yeo wrote: Pls let me know the procedure if we wish to stop praying and move away the idols at our home. Is it true that ifI wish to pray, the idols should be invited by me and not by my mother? The present idols are invitedby my mother and they have since stayed with me since my mother moved house. If you wish to pray, then the person who wishes to pray should invite the idol. The sames goes, for returning. If possible the person who invited the idol should also be the one who return it. For example, if it is goddess of mercy, then you should return to the goddess of mercy temple. Exactly what to do can vary depending on what type of idol is being wo…

Hi Micky, Unless I am mistaken, I given you two credits. So you can check the dates for both you and your wife. Priority should be a good date for yourself, then followed by your wife. If cannot find the best match, at least should be the best date for yourself. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, You can make use of the Auspicious Dates Analysis reports in our website to find the best date for your needs. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-dates/po-dates.htm Our auspicious date analysis requires name, gender, date and time of birth to be able to tell you the most personalised date that is best for you in addition to the Tong Shu. Since each person is unique, there is no single date that is good for all, unless you justlook only at Tong Shu. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Please see below:- It is common for your home and many other homes to have a shoe rack conveniently located as mentioned by you. We have to be realistic in the way we apply Feng Shui. A shoe rack e.g. at the front of the house is `secondary' to Feng Shui. More importantly, we need to score as many marks or points as possible in other more important areas. For example, if one has good shapes and form Feng Shui, this would bring up our `luck' in other areas and things like placement of shoe rack is less important issue. It is good that the inner door e.g. we call this the actual door should open inwards. As for the grille gate, there should not be an issu…

Dear Anon, 1. I agree with you that lots of Singaporeans have no more space in their flats for a shoe rack inside their house or it is too inconvenient as there is no second door. 2. As I mentioned, ( it is only my opinion and `habbit' as I believe that for now, shoe rack placement is secondary. Not much research has been done in this area). 3. Usually, it is preferred that shoe racks have ventilation holes and a cloth would be an equally good alternative. 4. This area has to be looked into further. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Angeline, The Feng Shui Encyclopedia contains 500+ pages of extracted Forum Archive which has been edited and re-arranged into topics for easy search and references.
