  1. 1. In general, Flying star is about the "birth-chart" of your home. 2. Like everyone that has a birthday, the home is suppose also to have a birthday. Anonymous wrote: my secodn question is that in 2009 NW is good. But acc to my Kua number it is not a good direction for me. My kitchen is in NW. So what shoudl i do ? do i still need to activitate it or not? 3. For Flying Star(s) if a good sector is good, it depends on whether it is feasible or not to "activate" the good direction as you had mentioned above 2009 NW is good. 4. Thus activating a sector based on Flying star is distinct from your personal Gua (kua number). Anonymous wrote: I am confused about personal gu…

Dear Sir I have 2 friends, both born in the year 1995 (pig zodiac), are planning to hold their ROM on 18 Jan 2024 (considered auspicious wedding date). However, I have checked that this date clashes with zodiac pig and in particular those born in 乙亥年. i,e. including 1995. Should they proceed with the ROM or select another date which does not clash with their zodiac? Look forward to your advice.

  4. Feng Shui of Ecopolitan: By Ranking of stacks of just Five (5) stacks :#06, #7, #10, #11 & #26 This is a situation where there are only Five (5) stacks that one is interested in; but not sure which of these five are better. In such a situation; the breadwinner's best eight sectors are compared for each stack and a weightage and analysis done for each sector. Thus, if the findings is good; then shown in blue. If sector does not match the breadwinner's than it is in red and considered such as : "Not a major issue" or "Can be disarmed".

Part 2: The Wisteria Condo with Blocks 590 & 592 1. The streetdirectory workings shows a reading of NE1 25 degrees with SW1 of 205 degrees. 2. However, using the Sales Brochure, shows a totally different reading. Here, it is now N3 20 degrees and S3 200 degrees. 3. Although the deviation is only 5 degrees; this 5 degrees is at the fringe of the borderline of N3 and NE1 which resulted in two totally different readings. 4. Given the above findings; it is best that an on-site survey be conducted to confirm the Flying Star facing directions of these two blocks.

  7. As mentioned previously; even if one needs to plot a 9-grid system; usually, it should follow the cardinal points of the compass. This resource was posted to this forum many years back by a user..... It shows that even in a 9-grid system on a perfectly rectangular or squarish home; it may have to be tilted correctly to the proper compass orientation. Thus, as mentioned, many geomancers; inclusive of myself prefer the pie chart method to this 9-grid system...

Just imagine, deep inside the central pavilion @ Boon Lay Meadows; one can literally see many units/stacks. If I can see the units/stacks; they can also peer into it. Such central pavilions are often venues for wakes/funeral parlours. Not that I am against it; but having such a central pavilion can have it's disadvantage... especially on auspicious occasions.. like Chinese New Year etc...

Dear Max, 1. For a new home, one do not need to strictly adhere to the Grand Duke or Tai Sui theory. Especially if it has not even been stayed in yet. 2. It is always good to choose auspicious dates for: 2.1 Start of renovations. 2.2 Choose a good date for symbolic "move-in". 2.3 Choose a good date for actual move-in. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Please note this is a General Advice forum. Please don't take advantage of the forum by asking more micro-micro questions which is too specific to be of interests to many users. Hi I am really keen on the low floors of block 24 which you advised against. If I do decide to get it, is there any way to counteract against the inauspicious shape of the club house's roof? Please advise. Thanks.

Hi, 1. A good location is always on the wall of the `head' of the bed (headrest). 2. In modern times, we are less concerned with the dimension of the size of the photo. But some Feng Shui practitioners may want to consider this. In my opinion, what `feels good' should be acceptable. In my opinion, if you want to hang the wedding photo, my first preference is to hang it as mentioned under Para 1. Warmest Regards, Cecil

I have a birch tree in front of my house, more to the South East. One third of this tree seems to be dead and some big branches are falling. Shall I cut it and remove the roots completely, shall I cut just the dead parts, shall I keep the stump hoping it will revive? Shall I plant another tree immediately after removing it? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  19. Dear Anon, It is important to remember to display the coins even if they are binded together. They will still show the number of coins i.e. 6 coins. But, if we stack the coins together (exactly) and tie them together, you would only see `one coin' but a very thick one coin. Here, unless one goes closely to count them, it simples looks like ONE coin although it is rather `thick'. This is why, one must string the coins and at a glance, show 6 coins. Furthermore, the red (as in the red string) represents the "fire" element to bind or control "big metal". As some kind of a check (and balance). The red tassle and infinity knot are simply meant as decorati…

  20. Hi Cecil, Thanks again for continuing to provide such a great resource. I hope this question is general enough. I've read that a bathroom near an entry door is considered less desirable for feng shui. However, a common use case in some parts of the world is to have a bathroom and laundry room close to a side/back entry to clean up and change clothes in before entering the living areas of the home, e.g. after yard/garden/woodworking/farm/automobile work, or to have easy access to a bathroom while working on these kinds of projects. This prevents mud, leaves, sawdust, engine oil, etc from being tracked into the living areas of the home. How would you bal…

In my opinion, NW should be worse-off: as generally it affects the career of the male-head of the home and also no "heaven luck" or poor luck. The saying goes "it is the lesser of the two evils".
