Dear Pao Lee, Please see below:- Yes. In my opinion, it is `eternal' as long as one does not "fly" the home into a new period. Pay more attention to the main door. Where possible, the main door should NOT be moved or re-installed. Else, it will most likely mean, a failed exercise. If you can, try to get the contractor to:- 1. The living room floor tiles up to the main door, should be completed. 2. The main door, should be properly `seated' and not re-adjusted or reinstalled after lunar 2004. Frankly, it looks like an incomplete home. In my opinion, an incomplete home or one that is `not fit' to live in is considered as an uncompleted home. And may be furtile…

Dear SL, Frankly, in the past, there were no aircon. And we therefore, cannot rely on the past for any information on this. Overall, based on "commonsense" it would be best for airconditioning to blow "from the side" rather than blowing towards our face e.g. aircon behind the bed headrest or flowing towards our legs towards our face. This can be quite uncomfortable and may affect our breathing... Well for wind = money flowing out of the aircon, there is really no harm if one placed coins on the aircon. Coins which represent metal is one of the `safest' materials to use as most of us know that metal element can help to cure `bad earth' elements and `bad wood' elements. War…

Hi Shi Fu, My office layout is half partition cubicles. I am sitting in front of my colleague who is my assistant, ie. my back is facingher. I feel insecure and lack of support and fear being back-stabbed in this sitting arrangement. However as she joined the company before me, and she had been sitting there since she joined, my manager can't change her seating position. Is there any way to avoid/ overcome this back-stabbing thing by putting some ornaments or plants on my table ? Thank you for your kind assistance.

When one is sitting "upright"; face where one's eye's mouth and nose are would be good if this is the "good direction" or "nice-to".

Hi Master, I read that if your bedroom is in the west of the house, the wealth luck and career luck can be enhanced by placing a 6 big smooth coins ruler in this sector. However, just want to check if it's possible to substitute this with just using 6 singapore one dollar coins? Also will changing my bed sheets to blue help as well? Thanks

Recently I was in a store that sells decorative items, and I saw some items using copies of the "ancient Chinese coins" with the square hole in the middle. However, these coins were of various sizes, some very large and some very small, and arranged in different ways not similar to what you have shown in this site. I was thinking of buying one of these items and taking it apart to use the coins from it in the proper arrangement. Is it important what size these coins are? Is there a minimum size or a standard size? How can I tell if the coins I saw are ok to use for this purpose? Miriam

Dear Sophia, Actually, the gist of it is that six coins represents big metal. And under Flying star feng shui, it is often used as a "cure" to neutralise some bad #star numbers. You may have to understand Flying star numbers like #2, #3 or #5 in order to understand whether this cure is suitable or not for the situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jennifer, I usually do the following: 1. Get a overhead projector transparency (1 piece). 2. Draw the 8 compass directions on the transparency. 3. Use different coloured permanent ink and write down each family member' auspicious and inauspicious direction wordings on each of the directions. For example at North you can see:- Death (Father) Longeivity (Mother) Health (Daughter) Irritation (Son) N | Write each family member's intangible force at each compass sector. 4. Get a layout plan of your home. 5. Draw the centrepoint and mark the North to South compass alignment. 6. Superimpose the transparency onto the layout plan and you will get a `big' picture for everyone…

1. This message sets apart all other messages before it. 2. Previously, the milder term " Fast Food Feng Shui" is applied. 3. But, today, this message sets the tone for a new category of messages. It is not only about "Fast Food Feng Shui" but a new term know as "Commando Style Feng Shui". Dear Siew Foong, Please see below:- Presently, the information is too general to give you good advise. You may like to look at the placement of the furniture e.g. computer table / work table based on: 1. Good Shapes and Form Feng Shui. 2. Utilise the Eight House Theory to see if the tables can be placed in good sectors for each member. 3. Take a look out of the window of these rooms to see if there are any poison arrows. What one cannot see, it no longer becomes a threat. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In my opinion, what you wrote automatically linked me to the attached illustration. 2. Especially today in Singapore; with so many responsibilities, worries, congestion and putting up with huge population increase (and more are coming).... 3. I for one, would not want to become a "slave" especially to my TOILET! *Sucks*. 4. Well, don't get me wrong. 5. Under the Chinese Holy Trinity of Luck: 5.1. Hello, I am a trainee jeweller, who , if truth be told, is struggling to go forward with my skill learning. I love learning about all aspects of becoming a jeweller but I am finding that I am getting stuck by my lack of ability, which in turn, holds me back from improving. Is there a solution that I can put in place in my house or possibly in my workplace studiov? Thank you

Dear Ben, Thanks for the recent photos. Overall, a Bagua (Pakua) mirror above the window should be ok since you are unable to implement the rest of the other cures. It should be able to neutralise the sha qi. (It would nice to have more - but OK.) The skylight in the middle is acceptable. In fact many of the older Chinese houses do have skylight coming in to the middle court yard. However, if it would not be acceptable if there is a tree exactly in the middle of the court yard. As in one of the recent mail, I mentioned that it is inauspicous to do so. Ideally, the staircase, should be avoided at exactly the centrepoint - and also it should have one or two or more tur…

Hi Master Cecil, I asked you a question in your post about clothesline. I need to ask you again with different topic that seems like nobody ask. So, I want to buy this house which has an open space in the back of the house with walls around it (you can see the illustration). I plan to move the kitchen to this area and install clear/transparent canopy so it would be bright. The grey area shown in the picture already has canopy (not transparent), so the rest of the area on top of the kitchen and clothesline are going to be installed with transparent canopy and put some permanent small ventilation. I would also plan to install some shades that can be…

Dear Slawek, 1. In my opinion, it would not be advisable to have a skylight at the centrepoint of the house. 2. If one really wants to do so, have to make sure that the top-down view of the house is exactly a square. And in place of the skylight, a court-yard would be a better alternative. Here, square is represented by the earth element and under geomancy it symbolises authority and justice. 3. (The difference between a court-yard is that it is opened as opposed to a skylight where it can be closed ). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Agnes, Although sometimes, we read that slanted roofs are "inauspicious" but frankly this is very common and in my opinion, do not pose any issue especially if they do not have large beams "falling" down on a bed or a sit. Or large beams can be seen, when we look up directly. You should, try to check out your best sleeping direction or work direction using the Eight House theory, first. Then check to see if these positions can be applied to your bedroom (in relation to the shapes and forms of the room). Under the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, try to, see if the bed / tables/chairs can be positioned "comfortably". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Evamarie, 1. Usually, there is not much cure (if any) for such a ceiling. 2. If the ceiling is not sloping but curved or semi-circular (rounded), this is still acceptable). 3. For the bed, a poster bed where one hangs e.g. a `canopy' or lace or cloth above it is one method of neutralising it. Otherwise, there is really not much can be done. The higher the ceiling, the better it is. Or the effects are considered lesser. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jennifer, Please see below:- - Where is the bedroom door and avoid placing the bed where it can be seen when you open the door. - Avoid placing the bed with the headrest towards a window. - Avoid placing the bed on the same wall as the toilet. - Avoid letting any part of the bed face the toilet door. (Remedies can be applied thou). 2. Only after you have considered the above and check to see if the bed can be placed e.g. where you mentioned at the "parallel". If not, you really cannot do much with a slopping ceiling unless:- a. Hopefully the ceiling is high. The higher the better as this will reduce the `sloping' sha. b. Get a poster bed with four `pillars' on e…

Dear Cassendra, The important thing about bed placement is that you should try to place the bed in a position if possible as shown in this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-bedroom.htm It is very common when you apply the sleep position that you are both exact opposite (ie what is good for you isn't good for the other). So the only thing you do is to check out the eight house to see which side of the bed you should be sleeping. (ie North side which is closer to the left side of the bed is disaster, while North-East closer to the right side of the bed is health. Then you should opt for the right side of the bed.) This way each of you get to sleep on …

Human or Man Luck considerations. As mentioned under Part 1: besides Feng Shui there is also the element of Human or Man Luck considerations. Human or Man Luck can simply be considered as feel good or bad about something. For example: you found that the ideal position of your bed is where your bed-head may not have a backing for your head. Just imagine, you have this "not so good feeling about it" Subsequently, you have 10 visitors e.g. family members or relatives visiting you. And if just 3 out of 10 of the visitors share similar comments; would even feel worse-off. If one is the type who easily "goes into cold sweat" or feel very uncomfortable; one would have to live w…
