  1. Please note that I mentioned that it is nice-to and not a must-have to sleep with the head facing a good direction. Another consideration is which sector is the bedroom, in. If would be even better if the sector the bedroom in is in your favourable sector. In reality, it is not like you have another bedroom to sleep in, right?

Dear Anon, Please see below:- I can say that you are a "privilge" group because, for most part, many people are unable to sleep in the living room because they have a large family. And, often sleeping in the living room has less privacy for these people. As well as if one has large sized family members. Imagine, being trampled by them, also. In the case of sleeping on a flat bed, or on the floor, there are lots of people around the world who often sleep on such a surface. Even in Singapore, many (many) parents for fear of their young ones, falling off a bed, often, simply lay mattress on the floor. And sometimes, the entire family sleep together (cosy). So …

Dear Carmela, Most important where possible for bed position, is the general placement of the bed to the entire room itself. This should always take priority, followed by when possible suitable bed placement based on your eight house directions. Sometimes the shapes and form placement does not permit you to place your bed in your best direction. This is not as important for example, if at least the bedroom sector is located within one of your good directions (ie North - Excellent, but if the bedroom is North), then even if you sleep West (ie. Spook), this is not as bad as you already get the luck form the North sector of the house. In your case where two person have op…

  4. Dear Miriam, mir. station wrote: i'm hoping you can help me. i am moving to a new home next week. the master bedroom only has space for the headboard of the bed to be on the south wall. is there any cure for the poor placement of the bed? due to the size of the room the bed can only go there. i do not want to develop sleep problems! As you mentioned, since that is the only space you can place the headboard, there isn't much else you can do to position in another better favourable direction. So, in this case, there is nothing else you can do about this except to improve other areas of the room that you can correct. For example, make sure the room have a suitable colour s…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Since you sleep on the floor, it is acceptable to sleep close to the window. This is because, the lower part of the wall can be considered the near equivalent of a head rest. However, do note that it also depends on the wind conditions outside the house. If it is too windy, one may catch a cold. Sorry, can u explain further on this as I am not clear what u mean. A table would not be a good subsitute as a headrest. It would be better not to have a headrest under the conditions you mentioned. Nowadays, many people, with little knowledge or commonly, we say ` a little knowledge is a dangerous thing '. Here, one has to differenti…

    1. Please see attachment. 2. Marking in RED "A' is an actual beam. And in Chinese metaphyics, this beam can exert negative qi downards to the ground. 3. See marking GREEN "B". The overhead support has it's load transferred to the side wall. Thus, it should not be considered as a beam as defined under Para 2, above that caused sha qi. Note: While it is true that both marking A and B are supported by horiziontal support ceiling; marking B unlike A is also supported by vertical or side wall. And the main load is forced down towards the side-wall.

Dear Arturo, As much as we like to sleep in good positions, however, if there is no way in which we can sleep in a better direction, then really no choice. Another consideration is that the first priority is that we should place our bed in a good Shapes and Form position. For example, the bed should preferably be against a wall. Where possible, the bed should not be on the same wall as bedroom door. These are some of the `first priorities'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In my opinion, if one cannot position the bed otherwise; the position is still acceptable even if behind the solid wall is a restroom. Especially if the opposite wall / adjoining wall does not have the toilet bowl or it's piping. If I gather what u mentioned correctly, the wall behind your daughter's bed is the sink. Alternatively, place the bed against another solid wall (if possible). If you have a sketch of the layout, perhaps you can upload it here (under an attachment) so that I can take a look at it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tess, Priority should be given to good Shapes and Forms of the interior of the room. Frankly, there is not much, that one can do based on the Eight House Theory. As it does not offer any cures. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mabel, 1. For sleeping position, it is best that your head points to the good direction and feet to the opposite direction. ie if your good sleeping position is North, then ideally your Head should be North and Feet should be South. 2. For work or study is different. You should be sitting where you point to the North and back facing the South if your auspicious work/study direction is North. Hope that helps. http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Warmest Regards Robert Lee Thanks Mabel

Hi, For sleeping position, of course it would be ideal if you can sleep in the direction of the good direction. But sometimes you can't. So most of the time as long as the bedroom sector is suitable for you, you already getting luck from a suitable sector. In addition, the shape and form placement of the bed is sometimes more important than the sleeping sector. The only time you can try to get everything done right is when you first renovate the room as only then do you have the luxuary of setting things right. Anyway, since you cannot do anything here, then what you can do is try to fix up or correct other flaws so as to compensate for this problem. Remember, that there …

Hi Anon, Generally, for Eight House concept, you have to apply them as follows especially for two person with completely oppose charts:- 1. Usually you try to ensure that the breadwinner (the head of the house), has a suitable house facing direction. 2. The spouse should next be given a better direction given that the breadwinner now has a better house suitability. 3. The bed position should still be placed based on the shapes and form placement ie the bed should be placed such that you can see the main door and window. This should be ideal position. 4. Only when the above conditions are met, then you can fine tune the sleeping position if possible. Sometimes this is…

    1. Frankly, what you had mentioned prevail our all other concepts. 2. For example, I was overseas a few weeks ago and similar or exactly the same situation as yours. 3. The existing owner was selling their home. And their daughter also prefers to sleep as you had described. However, when the new owner purchased the home, his elderly father will be occupying the "daughters" bedroom. And his preference is to have his bed - head away from the bedroom door.

Dear Sudha, Thanks for taking the time to do a Eight House. 1. Based on your Eight House: N = Longevity NE = Disaster (Currently the door of the house) E = Prosperity SE = Health S = Excellent SW = Irritation W = Spook NW = Death Since SE is the health line, is it possible for your head to face East (Prosperity), South (Excellent), North (Longevity) or SE (Health). These are the sectors your head should face. 2. Another observation is that where possible it is best to sleep with the head rest against a wall rather than on an `island' on its own. 3. You should also watch out for `poision arrows' since there are three cupboards. Look out for the edge of these cupboards. If …

  19. Hi Master, I just moved my home & currently sleep facing a South-East direction. Quite often i have alot of dream in my sleep and my hubby has no problem. I heard some Fengshui saying that SE is a bad sleeping direction in general for all. Is this true ? If yes and my bed is actually a built in one, quite impossible to change direction, is there any way to counter act this ? In additonal, my toilet is @ the centre of the layout of my house. On the wall of the toilet facing my living room, i happen to make a wooden feature wall on it. Does it helps ? Appreciate your advise, thanks

Dear Randy, Apologise for the late response. Please read below:- Make sure it is not your death or disaster, which would cause ill health. If it is your death or disaster and you are facing problems or health problems, then it is better off to sleep parallel to the headboard. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  21. Dear Anon, 1. The sleeping direction or best bed-head direction should be considered "Nice-to-have" and not a must have. 2. Even if sleeping with the head facing west, I personally feel that this position is the better choice. As you had also mentioned that the other position e.g. placing a tall bookshelf and placing your bed-head towards North seems weird. 3. Feng Shui is about Earth Luck. While feeling comfortable in a bedroom surrounding is about "Man or human" luck. 4. Thus what best is to sleep in a "normal " bedroom vs a "weird" layout bedroom. If we don't feel good in a bedroom.. might as well throw out the whole concept of "theoratical" feng shui. Worst t…

Dear Anon, 1. The first priority on the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui i.e. the position of the bed. Some important points are: 1. The bed headrest should be against a wall for support. 2. Avoid sleeping with the legs in full view of the bedroom door. 3. Avoid the bed headrest against the window. 2. After having considered above, you can then try to personalise Feng Shui. Is the bedroom exactly at your South West compass point or can you shift it such that it is closer to another compass direction without compromising Para 1. It is best to avoid sleeping at the Southeast as this is inauspicious. If you work 10-11hours and spent less time, in the bedroom, you should …
